  1. Was there an upper limit on how high this number might be?
  2. Seconded. I'm in Surrey (Guildford) myself, and mine goes up to the Phoenix guys in Watford.
  3. How about this take on it then: What do you think he should have done having been let off? Should he have said, "No - I was caught, fair and square - ban me like the law suggests." Would you do the same thing if they just let you off with a warning? If you got stopped doing 105mph and they offered to let you off, you'd say "No"? I think not. There IS a law, there IS a rule. 70mph is the speed limit on the motorway. Anything above that is a CRIME. It's just sometimes the person who gets caught gets let off with a lesser penalty. Sometimes that person is a policeman, sometimes they're not. A friend of mine got clocked at 102mph once - in court, they gave him 6 points and a fine..... and he's NOT a policeman....

    Porkers?

Don't forget the 993 and the 964! LOL. Actually, the Wikipedia entry is pretty good for the 911. The 997 Turbo is nice, but personally, the 993 Turbo was the epitome of the whole range for me.
  5. "Think more before you do stuff" LOL - top advice there!
  6. Yeah, yeah - heard it before. In other words.....
  7. soz, Sheefa - Friday afternoon - couldn't resist. If mine could reach, I probably would!
  8. Mate - I'm sure there's pump-devices you can get which might help, plus I've seen pills and creams advertised in some emails that I've received that claim they can help you.....
  9. ...heading out of Godalming in Guildford direction.
  10. I get a rattle from my driver's side occasionally - finally tracked it down to the handle for tilting the seat forward - the screws sometimes work themselves slightly loose and the handle rattles during acceleration and braking - you could check that......
  11. Excellent! Thankyou very much. If science and technology can develop a cure for cancer, then there's no reason that the same R&D can't produce all sorts of other innovations which make the ongoing costs of a civilisation with increased population equally viable, clean performance cars running on waste fuel, etc. You're right - regardless of the social and economic effect, it's a great illustration of the sort of things that CAN be achieved.
  12. Could it not be argued that the "price" is limited by the amount of taxes that the public are willing to pay. How much extra tax per month would you be willing to pay in return for the eradication of cancer? How about funding it through petrol tax?
  13. P Zero Rossos here. Well happy with them, but going through rears in about 7-8k miles.
  14. Wow - so you wouldn't even had to have taken your own toilet roll - nice! I used to love Reading festival - it always had the best lineup of all the festivals IMO, but as I listen to less and less music, the lineups are looking less interesting to me, and as Reading is mostly just about the music, I probably won't be planning to go again any time soon...... the smell of a line of upside-down, burning portaloos still haunts me to this day!! But some of the late 90's, early 00's festivals I have some fantastic memories of..... unfortunately missed the Lo-Fi's the next time they were there, tho'
  15. Nice car, hopefully, but not like a Supra to me - it's mid-engined and only a 2-seater, isn't it?
  16. Lo-Fi's were quality!!! "Battleflag" and "The All The All" remain 2 of my favourite tracks ever. Saw them at Reading Festival in 1998. Top notch!
  17. You can't having been looking too close! It's overdue a good clean, but thanks anyhow! The skirts are Toyota ones - I'm rather embarassed that with the apparent scarcity of these I've managed to crack one of them! Were you in yours? I was kinda distracted at the time, so sorry if I didn't spot you! By the way - the old avatar was bad enough - the new one is just too much!!!
  18. That'll have been me - on my way to drop off the missus' sister at Heathrow. Sister in the passenger seat - Vicki and our little Adam (7 weeks old) in his seat in the back and a boot full of luggage - the Supra is the ideal runaround/family car, I tell you!
  19. Just filled up with a tank of v-Power at my local garage. Price was 99.9p - same as the Optimax was there. Will take it for a nice, long run this evening.....

  21. I'd just like to throw in a quick request to this thread for people to stop writing "alot". This is not a word, people! "A" and "lot" are completely separate words! I'm always amazed by the number of times this occurs - it's as though there is some kind of worldwide, word-concatenation plot going on that I am unaware of. Try searching for "alot" in the forum - you'll be amazed!
  22. Yeah - I thought if you got an MOT done within one month of the old one expiring, the new one was dated 12 months after the OLD one expired, so you would end up with 13 months in this case. But I thought it was only in the last month of the previous MOT that this applied.
