  1. Girl goes into a bar. Asks the barman for an "inuendo". SO HE GAVE HER ONE!

    crap nav

Yep - no problems with TomTom here.
  3. Mine failed it's MOT in August for the same - they actually checked to see whether the car had ABS fitted. Apparently it's quite common for the bank of warning lights on the right to become disconnected (as mine had) and sometimes for the PCB behind to break. The boys up at Phoenix fixed mine - no problems - for pennies IIRC.
  4. Tried this once in my Soop (stockish TT) after I first got it - the smell of clutch finally faded after about 2 or 3 days.
  5. Property investment, but overseas. I believe Cape Verde is the current location of choice for investors. Property can be bought off locals for peanuts, but the island is developing into a popular holiday destination very rapidly and prices are (possibly) set to increase accordingly.... some people are predicting up to 300-400% returns within a 3-5 year period.
  6. IMO, the Supra auto box is an excellent auto box, but the decision between auto/manual (price and rarity aside) is a decision that I'd make for the same reason as an auto/manual decision for any other make or model of car.
  7. Strange that big reported stock shortages happened with the XBOX, the Wii AND with the previous console generations. It's almost as if their marketing departments are doing it deliberately to drive up pre-order publicity.....
  8. Yeah - but I'm still older At least I'm not in my 40's or something! And, seeing as I still haven't actually answered the original question, I'm 32, btw! Have a pleasant evening, kids!
  9. ahhhhh - that explains it. I knew he didn't inherit that tiny little manhood from me.
  10. Funny, 'cos I heard he was also shagging your mum!
  11. I heard a story on the news once about some really, really old fella in India or something, but apart from that..... no.
  12. Un-dressed green salad and fresh fruit here. B*stard blood pressure

Go on - search. I dare you. The word comes up anawfullot. Or maybe ashitload.

    Misused words

A LOT. A.....LOT It's two words, people!!! ALOT is NOT a word! Over 500 hits searching here: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/search.php?searchid=1992884
  15. Good guess, Feakins, but I think Charlotte was looking for something more specific.. ;)
  16. Errr - you are younger than 3 ? 2 and 9 months?
  17. I'm afraid you just have to cave in sometimes, I think - it's more a case of damage limitation. (the clue was in the "baby" line) PS. if she asks, I didn't say that, okay?
  18. The missus has tried the occasional "demand", like "demanding" we get a "more practical" car. I put the kaibosh on that one quick-smart! So I'm out too, I think. Maybe we're just both losers! ;)
  19. I call your mortgage costs and raise you a baby and all his associated needs. Do I win yet?
  20. If only! Unfortunately, I was kicked out 10 years ago so I could learn to appreciate the true pain that only a mortgage can deliver....... You'll have to forgive me - was taking the p somewhat - I'm just bitter that I couldn't afford to have a Supra when I was a youngling.......
  21. I think it should be "username, age, car, bhp, whether you still live with your parents", maybe?
  22. That was my first thought - you're about 1/2 mile from my house if it is!
  23. Well - again, I'm not sure he's ripping anyone off, as nobody was actually forced to buy at a higher price than they were willing to pay, were they? And it's not like the item is a necessity for anyone or that he is the only source. I don't really see any moral difference between coming on here and saying "I'm not selling item X for less than £Y" and putting the same item on eBay and bidding it up to £Y anyway - either way, if no-one is willing to pay Y, then no-one will be buying it either way. I don't see any real difference between bidding an item up to £Y or opening an auction at £Y straight away. But if the practice is against eBay rules, then that's another matter (sorry - wasn't aware - I don't use eBay myself and I must have overlooked Michael's post). Shouldn't be done. 'nuff said.
  24. I'm not sure I really understand the problem with the eBay thing. I mean, fair play for banning him for abusing other members - that sort of thing is not on. But what's the real problem with false bidding? It's not like by doing so you're forcing anyone to pay more than they want to for the item - they don't have to bid any more than they are willing to pay, after all. It's no different to setting a reserve price, it just allows you to do so in the middle of an auction. The only difference it makes from a buyers' perspective is that you won't necessarily get the bargain you were looking for, but if you didn't want to buy it unless it was a bargain then simply don't bid!
  25. It enables movement of the gearshift lever from P position when the engine is not running so that the car can be moved. Oh - no - wait - ignore that - wrong newbie question! Sorry!
