  1. Good job we in the west don't condone the cutting down of rain forests and mass slaughter of cattle to the order of over 1,000,000,000 lb beef per year just so we can eat a burger at McDonalds, or else critisizing the Chinese might seem a bit hypocritical.
  2. Vicious, uncaring animal slaughter up north posted as a joke: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=111790 Oh no - I forgot - it's only abuse if said animal is cute or fluffy......
  3. Nah - Havard was spot on. Was never going to stray TOO far from the fold, was I?!
  4. And can I just say, the Supra is a great looking, great performing, fantastic car. But the thing I'll really miss the most is the flashes and waves from other MkIV cars you meet on the road.... we're a friendly bunch, really!
  5. Firstly. NOT a scooby Far too common. (although to be really honest, I'd almost given up looking for my new car, and a scooby probably would have made my shortlist for an inbetweener...... ) Scooter - I'll certainly give you a shout as soon as I get my sweaty mits on the new car!
  6. All the best for the Op, Mas. PS - your old exhaust is now winging its way to a brand new home - unfortunately, the car's going with it, this time!
  7. Picking it up on Saturday.
  8. No prizes, I'm afraid! Will post pics when I get the car. Nowhere near as easy on the eye as the Supra, I'm afraid, but it's something quite, quite special, with a lot of promise!
  9. Would love another one, but Adam is nearly a year old now and I'm afraid practicality has just become too much of an issue. At Christmas we travelled to my folks' place. After packing all our presents, clothes and stuff plus little Adam into the Soop, we realised that there was no room left for Vicki (the missus). She got put on a train instead!!! There's only so many times you can get away with that, it seems! So - loved the Supra to bits, need a bit more practicality. What could I possibly be getting next??? ;) (no prizes!)
  10. Gutted. Watching my Supra drive off up the road this evening with it's new owner. On the plus side, a warm hello to its new owner. Seems like a top bloke and would be a welcome addition here. If he enjoys the Supra half as much as I did, and has half as much help from people here that I have over the last couple of years, then he'll have some good times ahead! All the best - enjoy the car, mate! As for me - I'm picking up my new car at the weekend. Something I'm very happy with indeed..... will let you all know!
  11. Snooze

    Reflex Tester !

    0.218 pretty consistently
  12. TT here. Daily driver. About 1,500 miles/month when I'm working. Until the drive home this evening, that is, when I'll be driving it for the very last time :(
  13. I thought it was a pretty good film. Drags a bit towards the end. But it contains my new favourite line in any film ever......
  14. I'm going to see Jack Penate and The Maccabees tonight!
  15. Also, what's happened to the "best scores of all time"?
  16. Spaced was one of the best shows on TV. Apparently they tried to write a 3rd series but gave up because they found they couldn't relate to the characters well enough to actually write good material for it after their lives changed with all the success with films and stuff.
  17. Ford RS200 Evo http://www.pistonheads.com/pics/news/11606/09FordRS200_1986_KalleGrund_Swedish-L.jpg Yes please!
  18. BUMP. Now with 12 Months MOT.
  19. BUMP, with some shots of the scuffed bumper and the cracked skirt: http://aycu33.webshots.com/image/14152/2000316855818485215_rs.jpg http://aycu14.webshots.com/image/14533/2000307736260905574_rs.jpg http://aycu26.webshots.com/image/17145/2000348635466146218_rs.jpg http://aycu25.webshots.com/image/14824/2000350235656767702_rs.jpg
  20. I had a mk 1 16v Clio a few years back. Great little car (until it fell apart), and a nippy 7 second 0-60 (scary lift-off oversteer too, I found), but a standard one would be no match for any Evo driven properly, IMO.
  21. Due to my son finally outgrowing the amount of family space the Supra allows, I am sorry to announce that my most beloved possesion of the last 2 years has to go.... This is a silver, 1993, J-Spec, 6-SPEED MANUAL Supra Twin Turbo. 110,000km on the clock, the car is in good condition throughout. 3 UK owners 12 months MOT 9 months tax Cat 1 alarm/immobilizer Mechanically, this car is as sound as they come. Since I have owned it has been maintained exclusively by the well-respected Mark at Phoenix in Watford. At the start of this week, Mark spent 2 days performing a FULL service on this Supra, including a brand new cam belt fitting (for those who are seriously interested, Mark is also willing to personally vouch for the quality and value of this car). The car has 9 months' tax, 12 months' MOT and is available immediately. Exterior, one front corner is slightly scuffed and one side skirt is cracked, hence..... ....asking price is only £8k Please PM me with any further questions or to arrange a viewing. PS. The ad is going into Autotrader and Pistonheads this week, so get in early if you want a bargain! http://aycu40.webshots.com/image/17119/2004555965865405187_rs.jpg (first person to spot the slight disparity gets a cheer!) http://aycu40.webshots.com/image/17119/2004573936813222560_rs.jpg http://aycu19.webshots.com/image/14658/2004562193281364283_rs.jpg http://aycu23.webshots.com/image/16302/2004509489235617830_rs.jpg
  22. Reminded me of this: http://www.firebox.com/?dir=firebox&action=product&pid=531
  23. Hipp organic are our backups, and now Adam wants to feed himself but hasn't got any teeth yet, the Organix finger-food snacks are the proverbial dogs danglies. Not sure what airport security would make of them!
