    32" Lcd Tv

http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/4-/5320412/Toshiba-Regza-32-32AV504DB-HD-Ready-Freeview-Widescreen-LCD-TV/Product.html This one. Toshiba 1080i 32" for £430. Due out in a couple of weeks. Personally, I'm going for the 37" 1080p one, 'cos it's still "only" £600.
  2. We just need to empower the police on the street to give the scum a good kicking. That's the way that it used to be done and the reason why they used to respect the police and authority. Yes, the police will get it wrong on occasion - but more often than not, they know who the bad guys are, they're just not allowed to do anything about it for fear of repercussion.
  3. Try looking up "Javascript layer switching". I think that's what you're after.

    longleat Zoo?

You can go round the monkey bit, but the cats are also dangerous - last time I went there in my old Escort, a tiger put its teeth well into my bumper and some claw marks down the paintwork.
  5. Oh - that one. Try view source then!
  6. If you like this kind of thing, there are more at: http://deathball.net/notpron/ (139 levels) and http://neutralriddle.50webs.com/ (71 levels)
  7. Is level 4 the moon one? If so, it's similar to one of the previous ones...... I'm stuck on 7 at the moment.

    HMV - lol!

Geek - noun. Slang "A carnival performer who performs sensationally morbid or disgusting acts, such as biting off the head of a live chicken."
  9. What an amazing surprise that peoples' opinions of names maps well onto celebritys' characteristics! What the hell do they think is the main influence in these peoples' opinions anyway!

    Honesty Test

Only one choice here....... Keep them and buy an RX-7, of course!
  11. Driving past Ten Tors Pub at lunchtime.
  12. Now add £600/month in child care! We are currently looking at buying a new house and I went to see a mortgage advisor. She suggested a mortgage of over 300k would be no problems to get - costing me.....get this.....about £2k a month! I pretty much laughed in her face.
  13. I had exactly the same thing last week - pain in my wisdom tooth stopped me sleeping for 3 days, and I got (what I thought was) a cold at the same time. As it turned out, it wasn't actually a toothache at all - it was sinusitis! Apparently, the back teeth are rooted into the sinus area, which means an infection in one will affect the other..... But you have my sympathy - the pain on top of the sleeplessness just saps all the will out of you. Stick with it, mate - whether it's a dental issue or something else (like mine), someone will sort you out!
  14. Ah. A little bit out of the target price range, then!
  15. The only 911 to get is the 993 Turbo (ideally a Turbo S if you can find one). Last car of its kind, IMO. Not sure how much one would set you back these days.....
  16. AJI - They should send you out a letter once every month or two with your points balance and vouchers in it. Dave - it's taken them nearly 6 months of me buying V-Power on a standard card before they moved me to the V-Power card!
  17. Hit from directly behind? Doesn't matter a toss whether you were indicating or not, mate - unless you turned across in front of him (if he was in the lane to your left) or you reversed into him, this one will be coming off his insurance!
  18. If you have a 1080p TV, I expect it has a damn sight better upscaler than a £25 DVD player. So iI would advocate checking that you can turn off the upscaling and just output 576.......
  19. I agree - but they shouldn't have to wait for someone to die for it to happen. If they just said as of tomorrow, driving whilst having your mobile turned on gets you 4 years, no arguments, I bet they wouldn't find anyone driving with their phone turned on again. As things are, people are going to carry on doing it, because they don't even think about the fact it might lead to somebody's death - it'll just be the unlucky one who the cyclist rides out in front of that gets the sentence.....
  20. ...or what it would have been if he'd been wearing a helmet and lived. If the cyclist was wearing a helmet and lived, she'd probably have got a lesser sentence because suddenly texting and speeding is not as bad! Stupid justice system! You're soooo right! Unfortunately, I know the answer The problem is that the results are irrefutable. The cyclist died. No-one can argue with that, so it's easy to make a court case if the "crime" is judged based purely on the end result. The problem with judging intent rather than results (ie. charging people for "fundamentally evil" acts) is that evil, scum lawyers are always there ready to find holes in the laws and put up an argument to demand proof of intent, which is impossible. Did I mention that the evil lawyers and the current justice system are a large part of the mess that we're in today IMO?
  21. Did he admit liability? Got any witnesses?
  22. To be honest - they probably got their just desserts as soon as they complained about the service..... I've seen what happens in some restaurants! I would never risk complaining about bad service or food (especially food - chefs can take it a bit too personally!) until after I'd finished my meal! Even then, I'd probably just vote with my feet and not come back to the same restaurant rather than making a pompous scene about it.
  23. Ha. Personally, I'd probably laugh it off it my bill had some expletives on it. I mean - WTF is that about?!?!?!? "I'm really downright offended and just want to humiliate the restaurant by making them write out a formal apology. Oh - and I want some $$$$$$." Asking for money is ridiculous! In fact - why do people even ask for apologies in this sort of situation? Does she really expect the person in question to actually be sorry? No - she just wants them to feel humiliated and inferior. Sorry for losing their job; maybe. Sorry for losing future income for the restaurant; maybe. Sorry for writing a few expletives into a receipt? Forget it. Get a life! I hope she goes back for her "free meal" and they sh*t in it.
  24. Total respect for an outstanding career, but I'm also interested in why you want to quit. As far as I'm concerned, the only reasons I would stop doing something are: a) because it's physically too risky to continue (wish I'd paid attention to this one before injury ended my football career!) b) because you can't devote the time to it or c) because you just don't enjoy it any more So if you're still capable of doing something, have enough time to spend doing it and still enjoy doing it, then that'd be enough for me - I wouldn't worry about "how I'd be remembered". I really feel for you either way - the end of a sporting career is a soul-searching moment - just go with your heart on it. But remember; if you stop now, it's a very, very long retirement...... Hope it all works out for you!
