  1. Yep - an adaptor like Lbm suggests will do the trick. One thing I would be aware of - the MicroSD cards (or xD if you really want - wouldn't advise it as it's looking like a defunct format) will be noticably more expensive than an SDHC equivalent - making the camera a little bit more expensive for comparison purposes.
  2. If I were you, I'd move back with my parents because, by my calculations, you're only 13 years old!!!!
  3. Snooze

    Baby seats

The deep buckets in the back of the Supra limit your choices a bit - we tried a few that didn't fit before going with the Maxi Cosy Tobi - the base on it is still not narrow enough to go all the way to the base of the seat, but it's narrow enough to wedge sufficiently tightly into it (where other, wider-based models just sit on top and slide about).
  4. When I sing "Ring-a-Roses" with my son, we just do holding hands in a circle and falling over. I'm fairly sure I'd be breaking the law if I played your version with him!
  5. That's not bad at all - it's comfortably better than I get off the Aristo (16-18).
  6. Jamie - any idea what mpg you were getting on it? Cheers!
  7. Thanks, Feran. Can I hear more about these reach-arounds, please?
  8. Don't think any health insurance policy will cover you for existing conditions, mate.
  9. Good list. The interesting one that I like to throw in is that to be a Supra to me, it has to have 4 seats - even if they're not really practical for adults - if you can put a kid or two in the back, an adult at a push (or even two sideways for short journeys), or just have somewhere to chuck a shopping bag or roadmap - it really adds something. As soon as you drop to 2 seats, you are putting the car in competition with a LOT of alternatives. If the Supra was a 2-seater, it could never have been our only car, and if we go down the route of two cars, then my second, fun, car is probably going to be a little Elise or something, not a big GT.
  10. IE is superior to everything in every way. You only have to look at the facts. Microsoft themselves have, very helpfully, collated the facts together here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer/get-the-facts/browser-comparison.aspx I use firefox.
  11. I suspect they just want to see you give it the beans, knowing that you'll vanish into the distance. The same reason I'd have no qualms about trying it on with something that I know will beat me by miles, I just love to see and hear them give it some. Enjoy the opportunity to show off while you have it! Since getting the Aristo, nobody tries it on with me any more!

  13. Okay - so what point on the food chain is it okay to kill animals? (bear in mind that deer ARE killed for food for humans. LOL - no - don't start me on that conversation or you'll have Mike onto me - I'm treading on thin ice as it is!!
  14. I'd like to hear the justification behind that statement. Is there a ranking system for animals that I'm not aware of? Is it based on "cuteness factor"?
  15. Why is stamping a fawn to death any different to (deliberately) stamping on an ant or a spider? I put down some slug pellets the other day - that's arguably causing a slower and more painful death than this!
  16. Well, there was absolutely no urine throwing at The Handsome Family gig I went to a couple weeks back.
  17. Well, to be fair - you have got me there to some degree - I am fundamentally lazy about researching most stuff like this - I tend to feel that my time is better spent researching things which feel more important to me personally and which I am actually interested in. Most political topics do not interest me and actually seem to affect me very little. However, you bring up an interesting point - maybe only people who can demonstrate that they have a decent level of understanding of the given issues should be entitled to vote? Also - do you really think there is sufficient information publically available to understand most decisions - using the Iraq war as an example again - there was clearly a golbal political factor (friendship with the US superpower) and an economic factor (interest in oil supplies) - but this information is not going to be generally available.
  18. Cheers, guys! You betcha!
  19. I did not vote for two reasons: 1) My vote does NOT make a difference. Thousands and thousands of people who normally vote stopping voting - that would matter, but just my one vote - nah - no difference to anything. TRUE democracy is proportional representation - not this poor excuse of a democratic system that we have today. Unless you live in a marginal seat, it's pretty pointless. When I tell most people this, the standard comeback is "well - if everybody thought like that........." - to which I say: if EVERYBODY else thought like that, then I definitely WOULD vote, as my vote WOULD make a difference - so yes - as soon as my vote actually matters to anything - let me know - then I'll be there. Until then, I've got better things to do with my time than reduce a 10,000 majority by 1. 2) Secondly, and more importantly, I didn't vote because I am not qualified to do so. I do not understand anywhere near enough about most of the decisions politicians have to make to be able to determine who is right and who is wrong. eg. "Should we join the Euro?" - how the frig should I know? The top political and economic minds in the country differ in their opinion, so my comparatively uninformed opinion can't be worth a button! eg. "Should we have joined the war in Iraq?" - again - dunno - I don't know nearly enough about the balance of the human, political and economic aspects to judge. The more I think about it, the less I consider myself to be in any way, shape or form qualified to decide on these things. ---------- Oh - and I've come up with a good idea to help fix the political system: An independent body should be set up to assess how well an elected candidate meets their pre-electoral promises. Any shortfalls in meeting their promises should actually be calculated as a numerical value and deducted from their votes in subsequent elections.
  20. From more than one previous post with links to some Andy McKee videos, I assume there's a few fans on here. Did anyone else go and see him on the current UK tour? I saw the closing night in Aldershot on Friday and it was pretty damn good! That said, whilst Andy is clearly a MASSIVE talent on the guitar and makes some very good percussive additions to traditional playing styles, I can't help feeling that he was overshadowed by both of his supporting artists: Johnny Dickinson and Tony McManus, both of whom demonstrated more versatility and "entertainment" factor than he. Overall, I would have still have been happy just to pay to see Andy McKee play, so getting to see him plus 2 even better artists: fantastic!
  21. Because no serious driver would consider either a convertible or an auto, obviously. Either you're a real manual/coupe driver or you're a namby auto/cabrio driver! PS. Where's the "duck and cover" smiley?
