  1. Sorry to rekindle an old thread but could do with some advice on this. Found a car in southern Ireland on southern plates, tax & nct (if that's correct, their version of mot) which I want to bring back here. I am a little bewildered by the registration process and fees, can you advise Jamie, or anyone else who knows for certain. I guess the above still applies, not tax. Does this also mean no vat? Anyone??? Urgently need an answer if possible. Thanks in advance.
  2. Just spotted this thanks Jurgen! Reasonably interested however I am a little concerned with the frontal damage suggested. Any idea exactly what is bent, chassis leg damage at all? Like others its a bit of a PITA to have to get to Ireland and get it back home, especially as im on the south coast. I am also not aware of how the Ireland - England registration documents & reg plate work. Anyone able to advise in this regard?
  3. Hi guys, thanks for the heads up. I did see that one but tbh a bit more than I wanted to spend on an NA when I have seen a few going on here for sub £5k in the last 6 months. As I say, looking to fully rebuild so if i can get a shed (but with a straight chassis) TT for cheap then that would be an ideal starting point! Anybody else, please!?
  4. Well I cant take it anymore, I cant believe it but it has been 2 years since I destroyed my pride and joy Supra single 6spd and I think its time to come back to the fold! Have since bought a house so the mrs is happy, time for a new project I think. Im looking for either a Supra TT6 or a facelift NA with the all important 6speed gearbox. Condition is not really an issue, anything considered as long as it is a 6 speed manual. Will be looking to build a track/weekend monster! As im looking to rebuild this from the ground up I dont really want to spend more than £7K if a TT 6spd or £5K is an SZ-R 6spd. !?!
  5. Had these taking up space in my place for waaaay too long, need them out asap. Drivers door in reasonably good condition for its age, couple of small splits in the fabric. Passenger side in good condition. Both come with switches in situ. £40 the pair collected from Eastbourne or Bexhill. East Sussex. Please email me as i dont get on here much at the moment!
  6. thanks for the suggestions guys, i've been reading up on the GT4OC and am getting the feeling most people go for the 3076r or 3071r, i just like to be a little different from the rest of the crowd :-) . Oh and I like your suggestion Paul but this is for my mates car so I dont want him having a Supra...thats my terratory! haha. Had 3 to date, crashed my last one and just bought a house, im nearly back in the position to get back into the owners fold so watch this space...i want a track car this time around.
  7. B*ll**ks, I would of have this :-(
  8. Cheers Jamie that confirms what I have been reading, quite expensive tubbys though from what I have been seeing. Just need to consider the lag difference between the 2...im thinking the 3076r ;-) is the better option, 500bhp+ on a built block
  9. i had a look mate but couldnt find much of use really :-(
  10. Hi all, Im helping my friend build a high power Celica GT4, we want to aim for circa 400-450 on his recently build engine, more if possible. Were a bit stuck on turbo choice as we want to keep it streetable and responsive...we dont want to put a big laggy tubby on just to chase numbers. Any recommendations? I was thinking something like a 60mm dual bearing with a .68 hot side, however will this be too laggy on a 2ltr? Discuss...... ;-)
  11. Loving that mate. I have been toying with one of these once the house is sorted at the end of the year, i think it would be a nice 'sensible' step from my previous single tubby supra. If you dont mind, how much did it set you back? I have been looking at ones anywhere between £25k - £30K.
  12. I have one too from a jspec, £50 delivered ;-)
  13. Lovely car this, be a shame to see it from the work carpark! I can personally vouch for this car, nice clean and rare UK example. Good luck with the sale mate.
  14. Well despite me being told im not allowed another supra, i want another one so my mrs will have to lump it! I want another project so just looking for a base car, either way it needs to have a 6 speed box and i cant be doing with the hassle of trying to find one given their lacking availability! Everything else doesnt really matter, can even be damaged as long as HPI clear and the chassis straight. Let me know what you have to offer :-)

  20. What an absolute joke...never in a million years will it be passed though. The insurance industry, FOS, etc would never allow it. Not to mention the public would go crazy at the guaranteed big increase in insurance premiums due to all the extra money they would be paying out without argument. And the level of insurance fraud would increase even more than the rediculous amount it has already, crash on the pedal cycle and its guaranteed money!
  21. I have a set of uncut ones if your interested? Just looking for my money back on what I paid. PM me if interested as i dont get on here much anymore.
