('98 TT VVTI) Is there any way error code 42 could be miss-interpreted as 'throttle position sensor', when its actually 'No.1 speed sensor' ? I've a good reason for asking by the way !

(TT VVTI) Checked pipework in way of the air inlet and MAF sensor this morning, and I've got oil in the turbo outlet pipe. Not a lot, but its coating the inside of the pipe. Is this normal or not ?
