    Yummey

Random, expensive, tasty and gutty all in one thread.
  6. Been done before, but still a fundimental forum question... I've owned many Toyotas since I passed my test in 1980. Apart from the odd fling with a Jag / Scirroco / 205 GTI and a few Im too ashamed to mention, I've stayed faithful to the Celica / Supra family tree. MkII came after a Celica ST, a couple of MKIIIs came after the MKII, so the MKIV was always going to happen. I lusted after one for years before I could afford one...this is my second, but probably not my last. As to whats out there nowadays, there is nothing sub-Aston V8 I am remotely interested in, straight up, and I cant afford an Aston V8.
  7. I think its pretty much perfect as is....but black wheels with polished lips would look great too...IMHO obviously
  8. why do I feel singled out here...

  13. Yes. Its worse than that Jim....her Megane was parked further up the road, and guess what...its sun roof was totally open too. Judging by the side door pockets, Id say we had over an inch of rain
  14. Whoops....daughters van is flooded, she left the sunroof open last night. Sunny now, car cleaning products beckon I reckon

  19. Happy Birthday you auld bugger...you dont look a day over thirty-fifteen:d
  20. VVTIs are ace. Throttle Position Sensors are not so good at the mo. I've just the one problem, one I had last year, thought it had gone away, then its come back...other than that I'm happier than a happy thing. Think of the happiest thing you can imagine...I'm happier than that.
  21. Thanks Dave...will have to digest these.
  22. What exactly did I do ? Alex told me there was a port in the footwell...Im slightly confused.
  23. Thanks Alex. Both error codes refer back to the Throttle Position Sensor. Ones a circuit malfunction fault and the others a circuit range / performance fault. As its a fairly new sensor, I'd assumed it was either the connections OR the actual rotational mounting position of the sensor (I saw a post about this last year but cant find it). Today Toyota have told me there are actually TWO 'throttle position sensors', one on each side of the throttle body. The nearside one Ive had replaced last year, the offside one (more traction control orientated than throttle) I havent (£90). Toyota suggest the error codes may refer to this, second TPS. This Pete guy is up for trying to track down an electrical fault around the TPSs / throttle body area, but Id love to give him the gen from that thread about the nearside TPS position first.
