  1. Pete, have a great holiday Supraloopy, good night RedM, she saw a mahoosive spider and asked me to kill it. I refused, she persisted so I picked it up, gave it to her and told her to kill it. Not the best idea Ive had tonight:d
  2. Weve just had an argument over a spider Friday nights are so happening
  3. Im spending some quality time at home with my wife. In between checking for new posts obviously.
  4. Four out of the five make up our 'conceptual dept' the fifth thinks he is a chicken called Ralf. We are not smiling because conceptual designers are supposed to look cool and enigmatic. The 'interior design dept' didnt want to be in on the photo, as they thought they would look bad next to cream walls. The 'engineering dept' couldnt decide if the concept of a group photo was actually viable, and are still sat there working it out. Management were in the pub.

    Mr T

Westover Toyota. I've only ever bought parts from them, no servicing. The parts guys are friendly and helpful, and I get a wee bit of discount as I use them often. The service manager is helpful too over the phone. He has a load of phone numbers for other places that could possibly help with an import. Oh and no, there were no VVTI Supras. Never.

  8. 19th Sept....National Speak Like A Pirate Day. You have been warned:d
  9. Do you really think so Charlotte ? Or are you just joshing with me. I suppose I could have a go...its been a few years, but I think I'm over the Shepherds Pie incident even if the kids still have nightmares now and again. Besides, it was all Janes fault...out on the razz with her friends leaving me with that mountain of resposibility and the most cryptic of instructions as what to do with heat and time and water and, oh I cant go on...the memories are just too painful
  10. Not many personally, but the one that most suprised me was when my boss saw my current Supra for the first time. He said that somehow he imagined I'd buy a GT rather than an open two seater. He went on to tell me it was a shame the UK Supra market dried up and that he'd always thought the Supra was one of the best looking front engined rear wheel drive cars of all time. Coming from a 67 year old who'd had his fair share of Ferraris (Daytona was my favorite, but that went to the vat man I think), Cobras, classic Jags and Astons, I thought that was cool.
  11. Ah well, another burnt offering to the god Keith Floyd coming up. INGREDIENTS: 1 cup unsalted butter 1/2 (16 ounce) package phyllo dough 2 cups chopped pecans 1 1/2 tablespoons whole cloves 1 1/2 cups water 1/3 cup white sugar 1 cinnamon stick 1 cup honey DIRECTIONS: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Melt the butter over low heat. Pour 2 tablespoons of the butter into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking pan. Layer 3 sheets of the phyllo dough in the pan. Trim dough to fit. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of pecans over the phyllo dough. Layer 3 more sheets of dough, brush generously with the melted butter, and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of pecans. Continue dough -butter- pecan layers until pan is 3/4 full. With a sharp knife, score phyllo dough to form diamonds. Press a clove at each end of the diamonds. Pour remaining butter over the dough. Bake 45 to 50 minutes in the preheated oven, until golden brown. Meanwhile, combine the sugar, water and cinnamon stick in a medium saucepan, and bring to boil, stirring constantly. Simmer for 10 minutes. Add the honey and simmer for 2 minutes longer. Remove from heat and discard cinnamon stick. Pour honey mixture over hot baklava. Let cool on wire racks. Cut into diamonds. Sorted. All Ive got to do now is find someone who knows what a cooker looks like.
  12. Oh no, not the sandwich thread again:d BTW....anyone know where I can buy Baklava ? The recent Rhodes post reminded me. I want some.
