Having seen Johns VB garage, I doubt 'lack of maintenance' is something his cars need worry about. I feel humbled.

What constitutes 'ownership' of a DVD....the act of paying for them, or the act of ordering them on line ? Wifey thinks as Son ordered them they be his. I know better than to argue, so a new collection starts. This threads mentioned loads I'd love to own (again)

I wondered why Kyle had so many boxes when I moved him up to Uni. We had over 200 movie DVDs....just found out we still have over 200 DVD boxes, but the discs have mysteriously gone. Hes left the Columbo ones though. Janes just said 'Er, I'll make you a nice cup of tea'. Hes a bad bugger.

Boredoms a killer. If I'm not doing at least two things at once, I get bored. I mow the lawn with a sprinkler up my ass. I log on here with the telly on, whilst reading the paper and having my nails manicured. I make love to the wife whilst hoovering the cobwebs. Spare time is a worrying concept.

My favorite all time film so far is Alien. I love the use of classical music, and the use of two set designers; One for the man-made ship, with systems and machinery we could imagine as developments of what we know now, and one for the Alien and the alien ship...totally outside of our knowledge and imagination. The use of a female lead who outlasts the other crew is clever too. Second favorite is Bladerunner, third is 2001 A space odyssey.

My wifes 50th birthday. Weekend in London, evening meal at Gary Rhodes restaurant, the Cumberland Hotel. She starts to lose it just before desert. Off to the loo she goes, comes back toward the table with her dress tucked into her nickers, staggers straight past me and tells a woman at another table that 'she was sat in her chair, could she please leave her husband alone'.
