My old Aerotop had one. The leading edge was catching the roof when the hatch was lifted due to the double-sided sticky stuff degrading and lifting. When I took it off, the side-clamps had made deep marks in the paint and the double sided stuff was a right bitch to get off but petrol and lolly sticks did it in the end. I let JIC have it for free when I pxed the car...not my brightest move.

a few weeks ago my daughter rang me to tell me I'd won the Aston V8 in the raffle I bought three tickets for at Gatwick back in August...apart from heart failure then a strange desire to strangle her when she started laughing, I had a little wonder what I'd have done if it was for real...keep it / sell it / what to do with the Supra. Hard one. If it had been a Ferrari, for so many reasons Id have sold it and still have the Supra.

Sorry, but I'm not understanding the difference between a rolling road dyno result (at the wheels) and a hub dyno result (at the wheel hubs)...are they not measuring the same point of the power train ? Is there that much loss between the hubs and the tyre footprint ? Yours, thick but curious.

Their sister company markets that velocity tuner (30% better fuel economy / 16% higher bhp) pastry cutter thingy. Their line of business is to sell stuff. I've looked at similar meshes before (combustion air intakes for boats) the holey type one reduces the effective air-in area by close to 40%. The lattice style one is even worse, reducing the available area by around 50%. Open wire mesh is far less restrictive than punched / punched and drawn sheet. I'm not technical when it comes to Supras, but I wouldnt think a 40 / 50% reduction in air-intake area is a good thing.

Theres a foundry just up the road from my office, and we think the 'fall out' is coming from them as metalic dust particles. Theres similar bits and marks on most of the cars in our car park:( Thanks for all the advice....after having a good look at the paintwork with my glasses on, its just the tiny little spots I need to sort out. The paintwork in general is ace.

The reader the guy used was a Carman Scan (dont know the model). I've PMed Chris with the guys contact details, hope something comes of it. How about going a couple of shades darker than Gunmetal ? No where near black, but darker than the darkest Supra silver.

Not a happy bunny today...was going to see all the RR at Triton but wifelet dragged me off to her parents instead. I spent the day building a shed and laying a carpet...in the shed. Why ? Dont go there...summat about how expensive carpets are these days and a 4 foot off-cut being too good to throw away. Oh and the shed is for.....two cookers, a fridge, three standard lamps and a tv. Had to laugh when they showed me their new Sky HD set up, complete with the old CRT 32" I'd given them a couple of years ago. Bless.

Thanks CJ. So its just a good buffing then. I've loads of absolutely tiny 'rust' marks from some sort of industrial fall-out / metalic grit. Tiny, but noticeable. I've bought Meguires Quik Clay but havent tried it yet, so if that doesnt work I may treat her to a facial.
