  1. Your all very welcome..... Oh and JamieP I've approved the proof for Bandzi and your car, albeit somewhere in the smoke is very much in the text and images.
  2. Thanks everyone once again but just to conclude events..... You raised £150 for the McMillan's nurse's fund ( receipt to follow ), Bandzi magazine are going to press with the meet in the next addition, JP will do the same unless something better crops up ( cheeky sods ). All in all twas a great day and i tip my hat to all those who attended and let's do it again anytime soon. Tony@ wim
  3. These images are stunning and really represent the feel of the meet.... I'm taken aback.
  4. LBM and other members would you mind if i send some of these images to the motor mags?
  5. Note the lock angles on the Team Green cars, not everyone's cup of tea Drifting but these boys have extreme chassis positions.. shame all three car broke at the meet
  6. I would hope weeks, damper bump/ rebound is well covered, it's only finalizing the coil rates that's the issue. Abz coils where reset today to dismiss coil sag and the chassis was measured just to ensure no handling criminals where aggravating in field testing of the coilovers, chassis was clear so it's just a case of perfecting the valving and coil rates then it's job done. Maybe
  7. Welcome to come down and see the extra software, we will give you a tour...... Also did you know we are about to open a national network with like minded calibrators. Not being rude but we have a 90% failure admission rate at the moment but would like to add to the network if your interested in participating can you pm me so not to contaminate the thread.
  8. We had a bit of a communication problem in wim between the charity raffle and a free Geo draws, hence thew slow start to the meet.... In truth we cocked up but hay that's life. Actual winners of what i'm not going to say because everyone is going to think it's a plant.... Like i said we had no involvement of the draw so call everything "destiny"... I rest my case
  9. What can i say.... Thank you everyone for making this a really great meet. Weather started a bit pants but come mid day everything came alive, the dyno was great ( everyone survived ) and we managed to do several geometry calibrations with "good/ bad " results in regard to what can be done and what needs to be done. I think there will be some conspiracy theory's to who won what prize in the raffle but i can assure everyone wim had no dealing in this..... If members are up for it i would like to do this again later in the year and hopefully hit some higher numbers.... Other news All three Team Green cars broke during the meet, they did a diff, pump and something else which in a kind of good way is good because the cars are off to Portugal Tuesday for competition so it's best they broke now. As of today JameyP will be known to me as 11.....? Reason being every time he visits the park he leaves us with a tyre imprint 11 and about a metre of rubber...... Point to note JameyP's BHP stuffed all the cars on the dyno and the little Mazda MX5 needed help to move the rollers, bless it
  10. Our postcode is HP5 1SB, that's the centre but because it's so new not all sat navs find it.... In this event change the code to HP5 1SD that's the park. Everyone is welcome in the centre, we are fully insured but please.... PLEASE be wise outside because there will be 100+ cars, members and kids all over the place so as tempting as it is to display the HP i don't want the day to end with an ambulance taking someone to hospital.... I'm not saying anyone here would be so stupid but as secure as the park looks, be wise please.
  11. News A few more prizes has been added to the pool totalling over 2k's worth now. In view the weather looked pants i have a burger van on site ( not free food ) but if you fancy a bacon roll and a pot of lard, then happy days. I have warned several times, if your body kit is lower than Grandma's nipples and it won't get on the ramp without a fight the car will be rejected for the Geometry, if in doubt check the wim gallery for the Ferrari meet> http://www.wheels-inmotion.co.uk/simplegallery.php , same applies if the adjusters are seized, although during a normal calibration we will work to unseize them we won't have time on the meet.... You have been warned. All monies generated on the day ( excluding vendors ) will go to charity namely the McMillan's nurses fund who gracefully helped my mother to die a few years back. Evidence of the donation will be made visible here. That's it...... Lets have a fun, eventful and for some very rewarding first meet of the year. See you tomorrow Tony@ wim
  12. Yes first come first served, three power runs for £30 and lets hope the rain stays away.
  13. We are a go...... GAZ suspension is a go Avon tyres a go, Rolling road a go Mags x2 a go Food and refreshments a go Geo calibration a go Archenemy a go Our track cars, BDC, PD, TA, Sprint and so on a go Other events a go Entire park will be clear so loads of parking. To reiterate and avoid disappointment 1:The Geometry ramp has a three metre run up, if you think your body kit is suspect please check the wim webby for images. 2: The Geometry calibration is free by raffle, in the event the adjusters are sized, that's it, all you will get is a Geometry report because we don't have the time to work the adjusters..... Go WD40 everything. 3: Subject to the weather the rolling road is £30 for three power runs. 4: The GAZ coilover raffle costs £5 a ticket ( for charity ) one winner takes all and this is not transferable into cash. 5: Avon tyres offered a set of tyres at a cost of £5 a ticket ( for charity ) one winner takes all and this is not transferable into cash, in addition if the tyres are not in stock that's life, we will get them. 6: Other vendors will be on site offering this that and the other, just go for it and get what you can. 7: No paying Geometry calibrations will be done on the day however distant you have traveled, reads odd but other members who traveled as far are chancing their ticket will be called. I'm sure other news will arise before Sunday but until then i look forward to seeing you all. Tony@ wim
  14. Get an image of the chassis positions, this can cost as little as £30 and at least you have an idea of what direction to take.
  15. Explanation for those that want it but in truth i want to calibrate as many cars on the day as possible. WD40 the rear adjusters would be a good move because if their seized that's it. The meet i a "thank you" to the club and it's members, not a knowledge day meet like the ones COG have, although we do have knowledge day meets this is not one of them. As said we have free food and refreshments, free Geometry, a set of tyres and coilovers raffled for £5, rolling road, GAZ suspension, Archenemy and others on site, our race cars and top Drift builders GarageD so it's going to be interesting.
  16. I'm pleased the car feel better, don't forget if you want the handling advanced we can do that at no extra cost.
  17. Jap mags can't attend because i left the invite to late but they have agreed to publish so get those fingers snapping because i need your images.....
  18. Got a price list off Atul for some of the stuff I think would be the most popular and he said he can accept (hopefully) credit cards on the day. You can find all the info on these products on their website. * Autowash: 5L - £8.50 * Actimousse Plus: only availabe in 25L- £45.00 * G101: 5L - £12.50 * Smart Wheels: 5L - £14:50 * Tardis: 5L - £14.75 * Biobrisk: 1L - £8.00 * Glass Clear: 5L - £14.00 * Blast: Aerosol - £2.75 each * Grit Guards - £10:95 each buckets are £4.00 each * Disposable seat covers - £20.00 for box of 100
  19. I have a debt of gratitude to the forum and indeed members that i want to repay. wim has been fortunate during these miserable times as a company and i simply want to offer the best i can to say.. Thank you to the members and indeed the club. Traders here i'm sorry if you think i'm treading but i'm not, i'm giving, we are full to capacity so this is a genuine thanks to the team and i hope a really enjoyable day.
  20. Just over a week to go and numbers look really great, well done everyone. The magic number is 100 cars but whatever this is a great start to the season where we can all meet and greet, be fed and watered, get free Geometry calibrations, a chance to win a set of tyres for £5, a set of coilovers for £5, the option of the rolling road, chat or go for it with Archenemy, chat to GAZ suspension or the other vendors on site. Other cars We sponsor the Whifbitz race Supra's so they will be attending if you want to chat developments and T/A Our cars from BDC and ProDrift ( GarageD ) will be there if Drift is your thing, also our cars from Toyota Sprint and Mazda race series. Here's a cheeky vid of Julian from GardgeD running some impressive entry speeds> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TIb1l23zl84&feature=player_embedded Some pointers to avoid disappointment 1: The Geometry ramp has a two metre run-up with an additional metre if needed, if your was low and unsure the car will make the grade check the gallery here> http://www.wheels-inmotion.co.uk/simplegallery.php?id=5&button2=View+Gallery 2: On the Geometry side of things if the adjusters are seized we stop there, this is only being fair to other members waiting so if your concerned WD40 the adjusters a few days before the meet. 3: The GAZ coilovers are still being finalized, there will still be a charity raffle £5 a ticket but the winner might have to wait a week or two for the product, to be fair to GAZ the designer of the coilovers has cancer and recently he's been off getting treatment hence the delay, i for one wish him the best and i'm sure the lucky winner won't mind waiting a week or two. 4: Avon tyres have donated a set of tyres to be auctioned at £5 a ticket, terms and conditions can be seen at the start of this thread. 5: All monies made on the day goes to charity, receipt will follow after the meet. 6: As said food and refreshments are on us. That's it..... Let's have an enjoyable first meet of the year and i look forward to meeting you all.
