  1. 30 years old, £480 - £350 excess, 6 NCB (protected), 0 claims... from Sky Insurance. Its good to be old Trying to get a cheap policy for my second car (Celica GT), best so far £260 from Admiral...
  2. I'm using an nForce 3 motherboard (K8NS Ultra-939) which has two seperate hardware SATA RAID controllers. I have 2 7.2k rpm SATA drives configured with RAID 1 (mirroring). As it is hardware RAID, Windows (or any other OS) will see one physical disk - so after configuring the RAID, you can just forget about it (until you need to fall back to the mirrored disk). Motherboard was around £65, SATA drives around £35 - bargin! I've not had any problems - been running 24x7 since the beginning of September. Jamie
  3. There is a town in canada called Dildo - just to the west is another town called Spread Eagle! Multimap link Jamie
  4. You didn't mention what DBMS you'd be using (but as I'm a MS SQL Server DBA)... Its from the other side of the table, but have a look at: http://www.sqlservercentral.com/columnists/sjones/whodoyouhire.asp Also, check out the review questions for the MS DBA exams: 70-228 (Admin) 70-229 (Design/Implementation). Good Luck! Jamie
  5. Spot on with the handbrake suggestion - whilst driving (very slowly) I gently pulled the handbrake - the noise dissappeared, and it hasn't come back (yet;)) Jamie
  6. Great guys, thanks for the pointers. Its in for an MOT on Thursday I'll get the garage to have a look - the nuts are on too tight, I couldn't get them off by hand! Cheers Jamie
  7. Hi Folks, Firstly, I've checked out the other tapping noises mentioned on the board, but none seem to match (if I've missed a post, please accept my appologies, but please point me in its direction ). I was going through the KFC drive through yesterday and as I was moving, I had the window down, I heard a strange tapping sound coming from around my drivers side rear quarter. It sounds very metallicy (kinda like I was dragging a chain). It seems to be related to speed. It can be heard quite clearly when driving slowly (pulling away from junctions etc) as long as the window is down. Both rear wheel bearings have been replaced recently, and everything seems tight on the wheels. Any ideas? Its a 93 Jap spec TT with around 130km on the clock. Cheers Jamie

I'm glad I kept watching to the end - after Juan Pablo when out I though McLaren had lost the constructors for sure! That fight between Michael, Alonso and Kimi was excellent. Hope the final race is as good

  12. Deek, I upgraded my front discs to dba slotted 4000s... I'm pretty happy with them - I think they were around £230 ex vat. Jamie

  15. Hi Folks I've been lurking around this site for a couple of weeks now absorbing all the info, thought it was about time I said hi! Hi... Who'd of thought turning 30 would bring so much joy! First, on the 26th June my daughter Rebecca was born, then on the 14th July my second baby was mine - my Supra RZ... I've been driving a modified 98 Celica GT for the past 4 years, but it was time to move on to something BIGGER... J
