  14. Yep i've tried going back and forth and also spraying lube in at same time but no luck! Splitting it - sounds like it could be precise, think i'd rather use a company to do it - only if they fcuk it then at least i get a new one! Yea! Any body able to see which ones i have?
  15. Last night we set about trying to lower the ride height of the front end, managed to do the driver side no probs, but when we started the passenger side we came into a bit of a problem. On the HKS coilover there is a locking ring below the main spring mount that when you turn it moves the ride height. So we used a spring compressor to take the load off the rings and went about soaking them in WD40 for about 4 hrs (spraying on and off). Then we started to turn the lower ring - no probs! When we tried to move the upper ring it wouldnt budge at all. So we tried (rather than using the hks tool) using a mallet and GS which eventually worked. But can only get it to turn 1/4 or the way round. See Pic. So with the car now lop-sided and needing the problem to be fixed we went to the garage and he took the shock completely off the car and tried but still nothing. Im going to put the drivers side up again for the moment but after all that banging i defo need someone to save my bacon - few probs..... 1) Don't know who to speak to about getting it sorted (maybe send it off for repair - back to HKS or any suggestions??) 2) Not sure which model i have cause all writing is in jap apart from the one that simply says HKS Damper - Not helpful!! 3) Spares - could really do with some new rings as the ones on there now are a bit scared from all that work. I have attached a pic of my coil for any body who's clued up may be able to tell. Im down in Sussex if that helps but dont mind travelling to get this sorted asap!! Thanks in advance! Pete
