  1. Okay, I found this sight some time ago and I think it might of great interest to you, it explains the reasons for the raised center section on the Stillen and Veilside noses. How Does A Splitter Work? It's got quite a lot of interesting stuff about lowering etc too.
  2. All these things are possible, i'm a graphic/web designer and technical illustrator and have done a lot of work like this. However this does take serious amounts of time especially if you're producing 3Dimensional models and animations, this would be cool but the work envolved would mean it would be literally a full time job! Overlaying illustrations and photos only works if the views match perfectly in the first place so you'd have to take photos to match the illustrations or draw new illustrations to match the photos. What's been done works quite well from what I can see, perhaps highlighting the hotspots would help a little but I think many people will find this a useful little tool.
  3. Thats exactly what mine did, it's definately worn contacts in the starter solenoid, be warned it took me and a buddy almost two hours to put the top bolt back on my UK TT Auto, I think you'll find this isn't the case with J-spec but I note your's is a UK right? He had to put the spanner on the nut for the engine bay and I had to turn it from under the car! If you need part number for the solenoid repair see my earlier reply for the bits you'll need.
  4. Check the battery if its okay then do a refurb on the starter, if you do a search you'll find quite a bit on this. Refurbed mine about 12 months ago, the hardest part was getting the starter out of the car and back in again (this maybe due to having a UK TT Auto) there is very little room to work. I'd have Chris W do it if you don't want the hassle. If you decide to do it yourself you'll need BOTH the following parts from Toyota: Starter Kit #28226-74070 and Starter Kit #28226-22050 About £20 if I remember correctly. Be warned if it's a UK auto (not sure about manual) the starter bolts are a complete nightmare to get to. Goodluck
  5. Cool, I'll see how I get on, still got some links to finish then i'll try to upload it.
  6. I'm currently putting the complete Supra Microfiche together in PDF with full linking so it can be used correctly and easily, but I,m not sure which area of technical downloads to put it as it covers the entire car. Any suggestions?
  7. Maxx

    I got one

Welcome to grinsville, don't come running to us when your cheeks hurt from too much grinning. 'He' looks great, have fun and hope to see you at the meets.
  8. There loads of info here: Optimax threads By the way you don't need to remap for Optimax.
  9. Actually not that new, had to rejoin as my computer went ape and I couldn't remember my user name and password, took me a few attempts just to find the site again. That'll teach me to rely on 'favourites' and 'remember me' automated stuff. Anyway I was bored and did a search for 'silver' supras and 'A14', don't get spotted very often so gotta grab it when you can, okay going this far back does seem rather desperate though I know
  10. Should be fine for regular road use
  11. sorry just read you earlier post about CATs , more than likely will be heat shields then.
  12. I've been spotted! (maybe) I do that journey every day around that time. Silver UK TT standard M*** HPG. What were you in?
  13. Seen it too, if it's graphic/stripe down the sides and 'Lucifer' written on the rear bumper. Saw him at Marshal Toyota the other day too.
  14. Like mikeyb10supra said if it's not heat shields the check your CAT, had something exactly like this on one of my previous cars. Turned out to be the core of the CAT breaking down and rattling around, the rpm soundsa about right to. Try get under and giving it a thump.
  15. As you say Motul 5.1 fluid or Motul RBF 600 (DOT 4) if you really want the best and if you can afford it get some braided hoses too.
