This is very true, Good tyres are a priority for sure... before you even think about doing any mods at all, for gods sake spend the money on the only thing that actually keeps you on the road. I don’t know why companies sell cheap "performance" tyres... you are gambling for your life if you buy cheap rubber... At the very least get some Falkan 452's... I used to run them when i had less cash available and they were good for the money, a few members on here run them as well. Since trying a more expensive brand (currently on Continental Sport contact 5's) i would say that i wouldn’t touch anything under a Falkan 452 or similar spec'd priced tyre - Nankang is certainly not one of them

Just wondered really. I know it would look a bit stupid wearing a helmet in a car whilst not on a track but I think i may need to adjust my fixed seat and i have a spare afternoon to do it Just wondered if it was illegal... if it is then i will just sit in the car and adjust the seat so i have maximum head movement.

How much do you want to spend? I have a Ford Focus MK2 1.8 TDCI Zetec which i constantly get around 60-70mpg on the motorway (70mpg driving like a gran). Its comfortable, well equipped (Heated front windscreen, Air con, Electric Windows, Multichanger CD blah blah) and pretty nippy for a deisel and nothings gone wrong on it apart from the usual consumables (Brake discs, wheel bearing, Alternator). I do around 3k miles a month in it... Cost me £5k a couple of years ago, now you can pick them up for around the 3.5k mark.

... i used to use them however the last visit i had with them was my last Its now Millway in Andover to do servicing and basic stuff. Any proper work that needs doing and i will be using Whifbitz (bit a of a trek but worth it)

Track for sure, its kind of expected to have stickers etc having a blank car at a track looks a out of place. And the same way having a stickered up car on the road also looks out of place.

Does anyone know if the standard Auto shifter can be converted to a push down type rather than the side button? Its another thing i want to change to make it look a bit more pleasing on the eye I dont need to worry about the O/D button anymore as you can program the new kit to use O/D as a 4th gear so dont need a shifter knob with one incorporated.
