  1. A Mate of mine who belongs to the BMWCC (he has a M3 CSL) emailed me about an all day open pit lane Track day at silverstone on September 13th (a week after trax). The nice thing is that whilst it is the "Track day of the year" for the BMWCC they have opened it to any car. I cant help but think that I will be the only Jap car there hehe, So i am going to have to wear my steel backed jacket from all the name calling, booing and hissing etc lol. It looks to be a good day, Its using the full new GP Arena Circuit (F1) with the new twisty bit and we have full use of the new Pit lane and garages, my mate and myself have hired a pit garage for the day too (it was an optional extra) and there are 4 ARDS instructors there for the day for us to use at no additional charge There are also a couple of racing drivers doing passenger laps in some new AC Schnitzer cars and the new Orange GTS will be there as well. Wish me luck :d I will get some driving video's, pictures and what not.
  2. There's too much fake carbon wrap going on in the world... its the cause of all the wars you know.. A CF OEM spoiler would look good on a very dark grey car. Any other colour it would look poor that is unless you spray it, but then there is no point.
  3. My baby... a few years ago now..
  4. I'm going to say nearer £700 maybe more. The amount of work required to get a basic mould sorted and polished as a one off takes hours in itself. If you consider a carbon Fmic cover costs around £150 odd and that's for a real basic flat shape, when you start adding major 3d shapes to carbon and getting it to look good multiple moulds are needed.
  5. Branners I am guessing that as I didn't buy a ticket through the club I miss out on a club stand pass?
  6. The Cat temp sensor wont effect the idle, its just there to notify you if your cat overheats. I would check your Spark plug clips...
  7. Hi Ollie, Is there a way of bolting on track day insurance? If so could you provide details. Richard Stock
  8. Ok, cool. I got cold feet and I bought them from the Trax site, as I didn't know if the club stand was going ahead or not and didn't want to miss getting the tickets and track time in time. Wish I waited now...
  9. Any chance of being on the club stand although I have already bought my ticket and track time?
  10. I have heard that if you get yourself some Aluma Ware (http://www.alpinesan.com/en/products/warewashing.html) and a dishwasher... You have yourself a nice small Parts washer... Just a thought...
  11. Was at the air show today, very sad news It is a dangerous job though, while it is very sad, the pilots and their family's have to prepare themselves for the risk they take. News reports state that the pilot sent a mayday before hitting the ground where it bounced 3 times and came to a rest, the pilot was thrown from the plane. So obviously not pilot error but sounds like a major system failure on the plane. Thoughts and best wishes go out to the families of the pilot, and at least he went out doing something he loved. What a Master of the sky!!
  12. I wouldnt be doing that with a kid and dog in the car...
  13. Looks like a nice peice of kit & I like the fact you can have more than 1 camera. I am pretty dissapointed with the resolution and FPS though... its a little bit low for a £300+ device. At the moment I use a software called alaprecorder HD for my HTC Desire £4 (https://market.android.com/details?id=net.adyno.alaprecorderhd) with a 10hz bluetooth GPS reciver £40 Has the following features... » Automatic (via GPS) or Manual Track selection (with start/finish lines and sectors already mapped) » Supports up to 1080p HD video recording » Support for External 5/10hz GPS receivers » Racing lap timer stopwatch » Speed, bearing and altitude display » OBDII ELM 327 datalog interface to ECU (Bluetooth dongle needed) » OBD data includes rpm, MAF, Throttle (Bluetooth dongle needed) » GPS satellite location lap overlay » Google Maps overlay » Peak G-Meter indication » Export Blue Screen Video » Export to RaceRender2 » Export to RaceChron2AVI » Save or send charts in PNG format » Save logged OBD2 data in CSV format » Calculates lap times » Calculates ave & max speeds » Calculates sector times » Calculates 0-60 mph & 0-100 mph split timing Probably find the HKS one is more accurate when it comes to G force readings which is probably what you pay for and the fact that for the software i mentioned you need a Andriod phone which is kinda annoying if you dont have one.

  15. Did anyone see that a min ago on ITV2? Missues was watching it on telly and she said that looks like Tom Chilton, then they announced his first name Tom, Then they did the "about me" bit and yep you guessed it they showed him racing.
