  1. As I have a couple of track days coming up I thought it would be wise to get a car fire extinguisher (just in case) I dont want a repeat of what happened to the R34 GTR driver at Japfest Was just wondering where would be best to fit it. I have no rear seats in the car so my first thought is there, however as i have Corbeau Pro series seats so probably not the best place to install one as its difficult to move out of them. I was thinking passenger footwell but not sure on that one.. Or I was thinking of making a bracket to fix next to the drivers seat. Any idea's on other areas?
  2. So from that table it shows that you have 2 hosts (servers), each with 9 Virtual machines and 15 applications running on the 9 VM's
  3. I don’t recall a VM limit on essentials? Essentials is ideally suited for organisations that have The Essentials licencing allows for 3 servers with 2 processors each. The only drawback is that the solutions are "self-contained" which means you cannot be used with other vSphere editions, it’s the same with vCenter essentials (which comes with the essentials bundle) this cannot manage other versions of vSphere, so effectively if you want to expand you would have to manage the two VM area's separately.
  4. ESXi is free and can be downloaded however has very little in the way of managing your VM environment. If you want any level of management you need to be looking at a proper solution using Standard, Enterprise or Enterprise plus (depending on features needed) and vCenter manager (idealy running on a seperate server outside the VM's) along with a method of shared storage (idealy a SAN but a NAS device can be used if budgets constrain) vSphere 5 has another element of licencing now with vRam which is something to bear in mind if you go with a managed solution. I put some vSphere 5 licencing info on the blog I run for work.. http://westcoastsolutions.blogspot.com/2011/09/help-vmware-vsphere-5-licensing.html
  5. I'm both, I wash it weekly and its only my weekend car so keeps the mileage down However I drive her the way she should be driven and on the track.
  6. Area 10 http://www.traxshows.co.uk/files/2011/08/TRAX-club-layout-610wide.gif
  7. I'm going to be aiming for 9am too, however it depends on traffic (as i am coming up from the south).
  8. I have a front (8pot) and rear (4 pot) 356mm Ksport kit on my Supra. Before i had the Ksports i had a full set of UK's calipers discs etc, and I honestly can say that I prefer the Ksports over UK's. I found the UK brakes to be a bit numb and that didnt insipre confidence in late braking, I also found that I did on a number of occasions cause the UK brake setup to fade. Since I have installed the Ksports on my car I have much much better pedal feel and I have not yet got them to fade... at all. Here is my inital review on the Ksports - http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?206375-K-Sport-Brake-Kits&p=2934804&viewfull=1#post2934804 And at Japfest 2011 - http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?206375-K-Sport-Brake-Kits&p=3114369&viewfull=1#post3114369 Since those events i have the Carbing brace installed as shown above (with the MC stopper) so we will see how they perform at Trax and a all day Track day at silverstone the week after
  9. Wondered if someone could enlighten me on the operation of the viscous fan. I replaced my viscous coupling yesterday as my other one kept locking up when the engine got hot. Took the car out again today and gave it the beans, however after parking up I am getting the rushing sound of a fully engaged viscous coupling as before. Now I am starting to think this maybe normal operation. But could someone enlighten me on the operation? When the car gets hot is it supposed to run the same speed as the engine? or have I just gotten unlucky with a 2nd hand one. Don't want to really buy a new coupling off Toyota and find the ones I have were fine anyway.
  10. No! Defo not a good thing to do... The ecu will be clueless on what the AFR is and the fueling will be all wrong
  11. It was called Ultimate car tuning ... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?250621-Ultimate-Car-Tuning-SKY166-and-Freesat-402
  12. I know you can install a Jspec TT Autobox in a UK car and vice versa by changing the propshaft and Diff's etc but are the wiring looms the same between JSpec and UK? i.e will the UK TT Autobox work fine using a Jspec TT Auto ECU? Looking at the ECM Pinouts they seem to be the same.
  13. I am going to need one again They're tasty TT Auto loom please
  14. Cheers, will do I will be testing my In car cams etc so hopefully will get some good shots with telemetry as well.
  15. It cost me £299 for the day and £20 extra for use of a garage for both of us (so a tenner per car). BMWCC members is slightly less.
