  1. Hi All, I never got around to installing this into the car and with my current plans for selling the Supra it is now surplus to me. I bought this off a member and has remained in my office drawer since £50+ £40+ Delivery and its yours.. This is for a TT Regards Richard Stock
  2. Hi All, Again as I am now looking to sell the Supra, I only every half installed this kit and never got around to wiring it up. Basically this kit completely takes control of the A340E TT Auto gearbox and adds Tiptronic control to it (not for use with the VVTI) With this system you are able to change the transmission settings based on speed, engine load, engine speed and many other parameters. You can adjust how fast and how hard it shifts, even have two separate profiles (one for road and one for race) if you wished to. It also has a Dyno mode for Auto's which could prove a nice feature for people who have high BHP Automatics. Product Specifications Many special operating modes available including, manual mode for upshift/downshift button capability (paddle shifting) All components specified for automotive conditions (125 degrees C with fuel, grease, and oil resistance). 9 PWM Driver outputs (Selectable 12v or ground output) (3amp) 3 Digital Driver outputs (Selectable 12v or ground output) (3amp) 4 frequency inputs (Engine Speed, TC Speed, Driveshaft speed, additional speed) RS 232, CAN (2.0b) communications 16 Digital Inputs 6 Analogue Inputs 1 frequency output (speedometer control) Easy to use windows software interface Data logging capability Take a look at the manual http://www.powertraincontrolsolutions.com/download/db/TCU_Master_Manual_rev2.1.pdf I am also selling the Paddle shifter unit too, this also gives a readout of the following parameters.. * Current Gear * Throttle Position * Vehicle Speed * Manifold Pressure * Coolant Temperature * Transmission Temperature * TCC Lockup % * Line Pressure % * Engine RPM / 10 * Torque Converter Slip * Transmission Slip * Driveshaft RPM / 10 * Auto Turbine RPM / 10 * Lever Position The steering boss and airbag deactivation kit will not be included. If you have questions then please feel free to PM me, otherwise please read the manuals on this. The kit come with the various Looms needed to wire it up (it’s not plug and play) as well as the Can bus connections for the Paddle shifter, basically everything i found that needs to be purchased for installation in a Supra. The ECU already has a base A340E Transmission map already installed however it’s probably out of date now; I believe you can still download the base maps from PCS's website. http://www.powertraincontrolsolutions.com/ This kit cost around £1200 (with all the looms etc) Its up for sale for £700+ Delivery Regards Richard Stock
  3. Bought off a member on here and yet again due to me now planning to sell the Supra these are now for sale. £70 + Delivery Regards Richard Stock
  4. Hi All, I never got around to installing this into the car and with my current plans for selling the Supra it is now surplus to me. 5. One word, Emissions.... probably a motorway... uhem sorry a highway crusing gear to keep fuel consumption down.
  6. Personally I wouldnt touch or consider a TT supra for under £5k. I am sure there are a probably a few good ones for under £5k, but I would say that 98% of them are either utter dogs or have been fitted with a hidious kit which force the owner to sell on the car on cheap as there is no interest and they dont want the additional expense of actually making it saleable. Then, if you buy said car you have to spend ££££'s on getting it looking like an actual Supra again and not some car with random holes cut in the bonnet and with a stupid ebay rip-off bodykit. Really not worth the risk in my opinion, Its well worth spending the money first and getting a minter that looks good, not one thats clearly been owned by a complete moron.
  7. Made me chuckle. Thought I would share.
  8. Yep you can get the data off it but it will need to be done by a company to do it such as http://www.dataclinic.co.uk/data-recovery-external-disk.htm May be worth thinking about running a Raid level next time, or doing regular backups of your data on a Tape, Optical device or USB flash drive.
  9. Hi mate, would like to come and see this. Can the flat floor be removed fairly easily for any work to be carried out?
  10. Getting fed up with Redbull being poll..
  11. Thats good news mate, all the best for the full report.
  12. Hope things go well mate, it’s probably moderate concussion. I had this a little while ago and my sentences were coming out jumbled up sometimes and was speaking slurred, I kept getting confused on where I was now and then, and apparently I forgot things almost immediately after they were said. After a few days it started to subside. All the best mate and I hope she feels better soon, and you for that matter, It's really not nice when something like this happens to someone you care about deeply, it can effect you just as much (well the stress of it all)
  13. I think its the same in any industry, People hire monkeys that really dont know what they are talking about and these people will argue that they are right etc. Its funny when I say well do what you feel is best (as they are having none of it) then later on they come back saying it doesent work... hmmm funny that.
  14. That’s exactly what i meant, i should have been clearer, the mods on this forum are very good at keeping the riff raff out, however outside of this forum is where the problem is. If all owners were like true enthusiasts as on here then i am sure prices would have remained higher.
  15. Hmmmm, yeah my brother has the same thing and he only had his Supra 6 weeks. I suppose I will only find out if I miss her once she is gone. Hopefully the chav issue will die like you mention by the time I come to sell her.
  16. Hi All, After almost 7 years of ownership I am pretty sure that in a few months I will be moving on from the Supra I have been deliberating about moving on now for a couple of years, so I said to my wife (Who really does not want me to sell it) that I will do just a couple of track days to see how she performs properly and then decide from there. I can honestly say the car has never felt as good as she does now! The car really is incredible!! The Supra has been a big part of my life and it’s been absolutely immense in that time, however now the car is becoming cheaper and the influx of chav's and the general stigma that this has brought with the car makes me less inclined to continue with my plans with her and spend ££££'s more in doing that. The next car I am planning to move on to next is a Noble M12 GTO3R, I have been looking at these cars for a few years (doing research & talking to owners etc) and I just cannot stop lusting after them (maybe because of my Essex family roots it being mostly ford ). I really like the rawness of the car and the fact its quite rare. My car will be going up for sale probably March/April next year, however I am not going to let it go for a cheapo bargin basement price just to get rid of her, I have spent many thousands of pounds on keeping her in good condition in every aspect and there has been no expense spared on her. So if you are interested then keep an eye out or PM me. In the meantime I hope to make a few more meets
  17. Here are a couple of pictures.. http://a8.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/313321_10150305767653802_524978801_8004640_1012984497_n.jpg http://a2.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/315015_10150300948628802_524978801_7978754_863140976_n.jpg http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/307880_10150301603593802_524978801_7982731_2111530132_n.jpg http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/316636_10150300950328802_524978801_7978772_581668283_n.jpg http://a1.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/314691_10150300950478802_524978801_7978773_871885506_n.jpg
  18. Wow! I agree the frame rate and resolution is awful. What a shame
  19. Just before I ask this question my engine is fine and doesn’t hesitate or anything I was just thinking about this on a passing thought (so excuse my ignorance) Some cars when not in gear can rev very quickly (really responsive) and I just wondered why that is? As far as I can fathom it’s down to Cylinder compressions, Cams, lighter balanced components, amount of ancillaries etc. How can the response on the 2JZGTE be improved?
  20. Hi All, Those of you who saw my video of my track time at Trax 2011 will have probably read that I was going on a Track day at Silverstone with the BMW car club around a week or so after Trax. Well it was yesterday, and I can report back I did not have any Sauerkraut thrown at me or was there any "Jap Crap" comments:) In fact it was the complete opposite!! I ended up giving a few passenger rides around the circuit as they had never been in a Supra and was interested, I also had people coming up and talking to me in the pit garages about the Supra. I quote a particular guy who owned a track prepared E30 M3 thinks that the Supra "is a legendary car" (which of course it is) but that made my day. The Supra handled and drove brilliantly, in fact bowled me over with its actual handling abilities and car didn’t miss a beat all day, that is until i popped off a turbo hose but that was a simple fix. The brakes were solid all day and didn’t suffer from any fade even when you hammered them really hard, in fact I was out breaking my mate who was in his E46 M3 CSL I didn’t get much video only around 20 mins from one stint on track as I was too preoccupied with talking to people & going on track to set up all the kit. I know it’s a long video and I don’t expect you to watch it all, but have a look, skip through it if you wish http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVjVCnxOAC4 I have some pics but they are on my camera at home so will upload them later.
  21. Yeah I was amazed with the amount of kit you get too
  22. I just thought I would upload my test video from when I got my external HD car camera. not bad for £80 I reckon http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/720P-Waterproof-Action-Video-Sports-HD-Camera-RC-TV-Out-/260763628250?pt=UK_CamerasPhoto_DigitalCameras_DigitalCameras_JN&hash=item3cb6b932da Waterproof too http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q3BKljJiqDM
