  1. I love the way the car is at the moment, quite frankly its the best thing I have ever experianced by a long way, any changes will be minor and only to better the car. The things I have listed are future plans, however as winter sets in, it would be nice to do a little bit of fettling for the track next year.. Dont worry its going to remain as track focused as it is now, If not more so later on! (I'm thinking slicks etc ) As I have already mentioned in other posts, Ryan is very much going to be a continued part of the development of the car.
  2. Well it was weighed before the flat floor went on at around 1240kg, so adding the floor in would of added some weight so let's take a wild guess at 1280kg. Once I get the car to a weigh station I will update.
  3. Yeah mainly just to clear the brakes, I don't really want to go larger then what I currently have to be honest but then the weight saving would be good over the UK heavyweights. I thought it was the general consensus that nothing larger than 18" would be too detrimental to the handling? Perhaps someone could quantify/explain this? I'm pretty sure Steve and Pauls cars run 18's? Ideally I want to keep the handling as good as it can be, but those UK's are so so heavy and losing unsprung weight is ideal! Hmmm decisions.
  4. Hi All, This thread is so I can keep everyone updated on the car I do have some minor plans for her in an effort to lose a little more unsprung weight and to do a few minor changes. MOST RECENT UPDATE CLICK HERE

Cat 1 Alarm, Wheel Clamp, Steering wheel lock, Nasty Dog, Security lights, Cameras, Garage?? There are loads mate. Sorry to hear your car got broken into though, not nice!
  6. I just sent this around at work about 30 mins ago. I shouldnt laugh... but i did.
  7. The Unladen weight of the Disco is 2055kg, which means I have only 1445kg to play with from my 3500kg limit. Taking away the weight of the Supra leaves me only 165kg and a trailer is a lot more than that! Looks like I am going to have to take my E course Either that or drive the Supra to the track (as its road legal) which whilst I can do that, its not really what I want to do.
  8. So if I bought a Land Rover Discovery and had myself and another passenger in the car, maybe an extra 60 litres of fuel (for the Supra) towing a twin axle braked trailer (around 600-800kg) and had the Supra on the trailer which is around 1,280kg would I still be ok on a B licence?
  9. Something like this? http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201134411648857/sort/priceasc/usedcars/maximum-mileage/up_to_80000_miles/fuel-type/diesel/price-to/3000/model/discovery/make/land_rover/postcode/so534dd/page/1/radius/1501?logcode=p http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201142422965698/sort/priceasc/usedcars/maximum-mileage/up_to_80000_miles/fuel-type/diesel/price-to/3000/model/trooper/make/isuzu/page/1/postcode/so534dd/radius/1501?logcode=p
  10. What do people reckon with one of these? http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201143424969918/sort/priceasc/usedcars/maximum-mileage/up_to_80000_miles/engine-size-cars/2l_to_2-5l/price-to/4000/fuel-type/diesel/body-type/4x4/radius/1501/postcode/so534dd/page/1?logcode=p
  11. Not much really as its something I dont really want to spend too much on, so lets say.. max £3,500
  12. The thing is I need to use the car for work so need to keep it as "economical" as possible really, want to stick with a diesel. Dont really want to get a 4x4 but might be nice for a change.
  13. Hmmm thats what I thought, what sort of car should I be looking at? The focus is due for a change anyway.
  14. This is what I have on my VIN. Q - 1875kg 4Q - 3375kg AN - 1040kg 23 - 1000kg I have no idea what these are... I'm guessing the last two are axle limits
  15. Cheers for that link that is helpful. But do you know if that limit is braked or un-braked? It’s unclear on that site. There does not seem to be any clear information anywhere, I really want something crystal clear, as i don’t want to be illegal. You would have thought they would have put that info with the car, I even phoned my local ford dealership but all i got was a vague answer which was about as useful as a chocolate teapot. I was told to check the VIN plate but that is not clear either, it lists like 5 different KG weights and the manual does not explain them.
  16. Hi All, I just wanted to know if anyone knew the "braked" towing weight of a 2005 (Phase 2 model) Ford Focus 1.8TDCI Zetec Climate. Seems that Parkers dont have the information on it, and the only info i can get is related to non-braked. Can anyone help me? Regards Richard Stock
  17. Urgh! not nice, hmmm made me hungry for a cream cake
  18. That would be a laugh http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2000-ASTON-MARTIN-V12-VANTAGE-ENGINE-AND-GEARBOX-COMPLETE-33K-/170719267488?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item27bfa94aa0 Rich
