  1. Ok today I wired up and installed the Dash4Pro and pleased to say its all operational As mentioned before the Dash2 will be mounted on the center console. Here are some pics of it working, Video of the different screens etc is uploading now.
  2. Got my FIA approved electrically operated Fire extinguisher system today, will also be fitting this over the weekend. http://a8.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/304835_10151013140483802_2119985961_n.jpg I wont burn to death now - Always a bonus
  3. I would like to add I am not sure what yellows are like on UK's as I don’t run a UK setup. They however on my setup they are "adequate" at the moment. Silverstone will be a good test on the yellows as there are 3 fairly long straights and 2 of those finish at some pretty tight bends (Village and brooklands) I didn’t manage to push my brakes to fade on my old supra with the same brake setup, however with this car I will probably be going a lot faster. Looking forward to it, just need to finish some bits off on the car for Silverstone (Adding Electronically controlled fire extinguisher, reducing some more weight by changing parts to more carbon etc.)
  4. Wow most half descent turbos cost more than that whole kit. I dread to think how long that Turbo will actually last...
  5. Yeah will do, the car is also Gopro'd up now too (roof mount, rear mount, bumper mount and a number of interior mounts) so will be getting some good quality vids unlike my last vid which was awful. I run Yellowstuffs all round on mine and they are ok they seem to perform quite well. I am planning to move over to either bluestuff, Performance friction racing pads or Porterfield race pads next season.
  6. Nice one mate, let us know how it goes.. Get up some vids if you can Only advice I would have is take it steady (get used to the car on track) and be as smooth as you can. I am booked in at Silverstone (Full GP Circuit) on the 24th September for an all-day open pit lane, with use of the new Pits and garages (My big one of the year). Only thing is it’s with the BMW owners club However I did the same last year in my other Supra and I found that the BMW owners were very friendly, so nothing to worry about Should be interesting bringing my new weapon...:eyebrows:
  7. I wont ever be selling mine... I will probably end up being only the one left on here starting threads and replying to myself ten mins later.
  8. It’s a shame but onwards and upwards. Everyone needs a change at some point. I was considering a change this time last year and was considering an Ultima, Noble or Porsche. Sometimes you do need to change, I ended up going with another Supra but only because it was quite special, if it had not been around then I would have probably gone with a Ultima or Noble. Good luck with your choice Jamie, would be good to see you in something a bit more rare and impractical rather then the usual move to a R35 GTR. (Clears throat) Perhaps a different type of GTR - http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3810808.htm
  9. Running a bit behind today due to some awful stomach bug... Firstly Just made sure the carbon panel is an exact fit. Then sprayed the front display mount black. I then fabricated the rear cable sturdy out of carbon fibre. Over the next few days I will update with the wiring etc, then once up and running show some vids of it all working
  10. Quick update, Carbon panel cut and fitted. Just got to fit some more function buttons wire it all up, then add some text etc.. then give it a test Which will now have to be done tomorrow as I have to go out to a freinds house for the evening now
  11. Good price if you want to spend another £6k making it run.. Not sure what makes this a Serious Race car though (apart from the fact it meets a set of particular regs).. or am I Just stirring up a bowl of ....
  12. There is no such thing as cheap quality kit. Its either quality or cheap (and therefore crap).
  13. Should be finishing off the Carbon Steering plate tonight, where the switches & buttons etc are to be installed. I have already finished the quick release loom for the steering wheel so hopefully I should be able to install and setup on Saturday/Sunday
  14. A small update with regards to the steering wheel project. I am going to be running a Race technologies Dash4pro OLED unit on the wheel as a slave device. This is so I can see everything going on at once on the wheel as I find the Dash2 a little hard to read. I will be keeping the Dash2 that I have already as the master unit but I will be moving the location of this to the middle of the dash. I have the rest of the controls to add to the wheel, such as traction control slip, bhp maps etc, in the meantime here is what the Dash4pro mount looks like. http://a8.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/555514_10150994464103802_1305516771_n.jpg
  15. Hi All, Looking at changing the look of the track car for next year and will be looking at a full race style livery. I have some idea's etc. but as we are all a community on here I wanted to pass the opportunity out to the relevant members before I approach a company like totally dynamic or Racewraps If anyone can help then that would be cool
  16. rota force = win http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/287762_10150966814953802_746933579_o.jpg
  17. Cheers mate that’s useful information to note, it’s good to ask and chew over results etc. Further on to this I have not experienced the problems as you or Chris have mentioned with the wheel and tyre setup I have as yet. The car feels planted in the low speed and high speed corners and it’s very difficult to get the car to breakaway and when it does it’s a dream to control. Although would I be experiencing something different with this setup because my engine is mid mounted and the weight is significantly lower than a normal Supra? (Normal I mean a Supra setup for track) If you wish on my next track day, I can get some information off my DL1 with regards to handling (cornering forces etc.) hopefully before then I will be able to get the DL1 to log the tyre temps and steering angles as well.
  18. Chris I run 10.5 (on the back) with 285's on 888's would you say that this is too large?
  19. I too came from an EP3 Type R, mine was Stock though. Welcome to the club Plenty of nice examples in the for sale section.
  20. Ah Cheers mate, I dont think they are wide enough though. I need 9's (255's) and 10.5's (285's) Will still message him to see if he has anything. cheers
