Why thank you thats very kind of you to say mate I want to keep the car as hardcore and as track focused at possible. Ryan had done an amazing job on the car before I got it; I only feel that it’s fair to keep improving it at the same level of quality that it deserves. I am looking forward to reuniting Ryan with his Ex in the next couple weeks are SRR, whilst he is in contact with the updates on the car (via the FB page) I wonder what he honestly thinks, should be interesting to find out There are plenty more updates on the way One of the the biggest updates will be when I will be replacing all the interior aluminium panels which are currently covering the space frame parts in the cockpit with Honeycomb Core Carbon Fibre panels which will offer extreme lightness (upto 70% lighter) as well as having the needed strength too. I am looking to save a lot of weight in the car with doing this. -

Managed to find some nice alone time this lovely sunny saturday to finish off installing the rear Nitrons. Just a quick shot of the car which reminds me I really have to get on and tidy up my workshop!! Just waiting for my adjustable drop links to arrive and then I can get on with improving the static Weight Distribution and then make start on cross weighting the car properly. During this time I will be also making my pad levelling plates which I will post up the progress on when my Bench drill finally arrives too lol .... -
OK Looks like i will look into getting some made up Anyone interested?

Hi all, Do we have any official MKIVsupra.net vinyl decals? I realised that I have nothing on my track car and I want some

My Intercomp SW650RFX corner weighing setup arrived this morning. Lovely looking kit and really well made and no annoying cables to get in the way. This should now allow me to help setup the car perfectly... -

Yeah I have seen the Megan racing stuff before, Never really heard anything about them, but then I never really looked into it all before I will have a look and do a bit of investigation Oh If anyone is interested I will have a very good condition set of (refurbished by Chris Wilson) Ohlin Coilovers up for sale shortly. I will get some Pics up of these this weekend. -

Yep correct, I got a OEM replacement ones as I need to move the car out of the workshop this weekend and the ones I wanted to get would not have arrived in time. I will be using adjustable ones for when I corner weight the car, I was thinking of using these... http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/performance/anti-roll-bars/whiteline-universal-ball-joint-drop-links Link amended... -

Fitted a new drop link last night and Just ordered these badboys... (Intercomp SW650RFX ) Should help with setting up the car properly -
I have heard a few members used to use the Emanage Ultimate back in the day (not so common now). However I would save up for a full ECU like the Syvecs especially as you want to single it later on.

Crash and run.. in rear quarter of my Supra :( (pics)

Good luck with the police, I had the same done to me on my last supra... My official police response from the BTP was and I quote "it does not meet our criteria for pursuing an investigation". Apart from the fact the CCTV footage showed who did it, number plate all clearly visible. So instead of tracking the person down and stating that they broke a number of laws, 1. Criminal damage and 2. Leaving the scene of an accident it seemed that they just could not be bothered. I ended up footing the bill which was a hefty 4 figure sum! Now dont get me wrong I am one to stand up for the normal bobby as they do a great Job but the British Transport Police (BTP)... well it seems they are too busy doing something else and we all know what that is. -

Ah I see, I would have thought though if you are using the car for track use it would make sense to fit a PAS cooler?? I have seen PAS coolers on many track cars?? Any fluid that’s under incredibly high pressure (probably around 600-700 psi) is going to get pretty hot and although the PAS system on the Supra has a separate reservoir which will help cool the fluid, the PAS system is designed for road use and not track use.. So adding a PAS cooler makes sense to me. Not only that, I remember reading somewhere (I may be wrong) that the PAS system is constantly in use on the Supra even when moving at speed so putting the pump through some high and low speed corners over and over and over again is going to put the pump through some elevated stress... And even if fitting a cooler does not make a huge difference, fitting it for a precaution and peace of mind is well worth it! How miffed would you be if a seal in your pump failed because it got too hot and ruined a £200 track day I would rather fit a £150 cooler and make sure the pump is getting all the cooling it needs. At least then you reduce the potential risk of it failing. -

I have two, One in front is the engine oil cooler, the other one (angled backwards) maybe a PAS cooler?? I am not 100% sure tbh. I will need to have a look and follow the hoses back to the source to be sure...but thinking about it, it cant be anything else really (Engine oil cooler, Main Radiator & Intercooler... gearbox does not have a cooler feed (that I know of) and neither does the diff)...so it must be a PAS cooler as thats the only other thing the has liquid in it.. lol. Whys that? -

Not really no, the only awkward bit is the spark plugs but then thats not really that bad. If anything its easier to do the oil filter etc as you dont have the big subframe brace in the way -

Ok quick update when i have a few mins spare.. A few months ago no I installed the electronically operated fire extinguisher at the back of the passenger foot well. Even though it added some weight I felt it was best to have some sort of fire system to protect the passenger and driver and to also have a better chance of damage limitation on the car. The cockpit discharge nozzels are in the footwells and directed at seats as approved in MSA Regs, also in the engine bay one is pointed at the fuel system and the other at the hot side of the Turbo and Oil feeds. Then there is a bit of a gap on progress as there was a lot of building work being done on my workshop (New Roof, Walls, Installation of a Scissor lift etc). During this time I have been looking at depth into the gearbox project, making measurements for this and many replacement carbon parts also developing a brake cooling ducting kit for the car as well. Now that the workshop roof was done I had to get the car ready for a Dyno session with Ryan to up the power a bit on the car and adjust a few of the Maps etc, So this required doing a big fluids service and checking everything over. All went without hitch until I got to the Diff. When undoing the drain plug the particulate magnet broke off inside the diff casing, all in all it took me 8 hours to remove it as somehow it had gone from circular to oval?? After all that it decided to Snow on the day so I had to cancle the Dyno day which is now put back until April sometime (Date TBA). Since then I have been doing some other needed bits, heat wrapping the exhaust for one, mainly to help reduce the temps in the cockpit, I am still in the process of doing this but this gives you an idea. I have also finally made a start on fitting the Nitrons on the car. Old setup.. I think I am going to change the location of the remote control units but for now they are tied out of the way I have to do the rears but at the moment I am pondering on where to cut the holes for the huge rubber grommets for the remote reservoirs There is a lot more to add to this quick update but I had a spare 10 mins to give you all some info -
Wow alot of work done on this! Its not really my cup of tea but the workmanship done is fantastic. Nice one

Front spring Rates are 1,000 lbs./in. Rear is 400 lbs./in.

Yes 600bhp is fine on a stock bottom, some people run even more than that! You wont need meth just make sure you get an descent ECU to control it all properly and use quality parts.

I assume you depressed the pedal fully when bleeding it. I can only think its somehow drawn some air in somewhere??
