    Own up

Why oh why does everyone think that just because its a Supra it has Nitrous in it. Arghhh..... On of my biggest peev's ... "Ohhh its a Supra have you got NOS"... No I haven't.... Fook off! Stupid F&F films!
  2. Carbon fibre replacement panels are now finally going into the car After weighing the now redundant aluminum panels these carbon panels are averaging around 66% lighter, we should be on track (excuse the pun) for a massive weight saving Not only that it looks sexy!!
  3. Some new PF R4 Racing pads... cheers Paul :-) More fun updates coming in the next few weeks.
  4. Hi All, Does anyone know if they have a CAD drawing of the cylinder head intake ports? No one probably does so I will have to make one, I just wanted to see if I can save myself a bit of time
  5. Been a little busy today, Decided to fit some new lighting in the workshop today so the Supra got some fresh air, same on the outside, some fun things happening on the inside... all will be revealed soon. I have also been making a Aluminum compression mould on the CNC machine today for some carbon fiber holders I am making Still got to do the final cut with a 3mm ball nose slot drill which will bring the surface to a good finish, then its a polish on the wheel and then onto making the compression side.
  6. Really Lovely... I would love to have that this summer, would make a perfect 2nd Supra It may be a little out of my budget though (or is that a good thing... my wife would think its a good thing).
  7. I agree, most of the time you never get to open the taps on the roads, It seems that as soon as the sun comes out every old person on earth that owns a Honda Jazz comes out as well and then clogs up the roads with cars full of tree's, flowers, Zimmer frames and their friends bulging out of every crack. I do love the look of the Supra, Probably why I have owned a Supra for getting on for 9 1/2 half years. Its a hard shape to beat for sure. The Pathfinder is nice to drive but god its boring.. - - - Updated - - - Exactly... thats what I keep coming back to as well.
  8. There is a thought, I have never been in one, May have a look at these. Something different too.
  9. I did think about a MR2, although I had a bad experience with one, My wife had a Rev2 MR2 Turbo and it had endless issues, nice when it worked but RPITA when it kept going wrong.
  10. I had an BPU Auto TT before the track car so I think it would be OK, I don't mind the Autobox, agreed manual is more involving and fun but I wont rule out an Auto. NA/T's have never really done it for me probably because I have never been in one, I wont rule that out either though.
  11. Fuel consumption isn't really an issue, it will mainly only be used as a weekend thing or just going to meets etc. I like the look of the RX7's but I don't fancy having a wankel
  12. As above really, I am thinking about getting another Supra for use on the road. I love the race car but I am missing the days of just hopping into a Supra and going for a nice drive. I don't obviously want something with all out power as I want the track car to remain the special focus so was thinking about a totally stock TT Auto or NA Manual. The thing is I don't have much spare cash at the moment as a lot of it is going into a business venture, a house purchase and the track car so I will be looking for a bargain basement blue cross sale purchase (condition is not key, I can sort that out). I am leaning towards an NA as they are cheap and as you can't really open the taps properly on the road these days thinking its a logical choice. However I have never been in an NA, I know lots of people say they are slow but will they satisfy my craving for a "sporty" drive. At the moment If need to go out for a blast I get into my wifes DC2 Integra Type R which is fun and keeps me entertained but will a NA provide as much fun as that? :d:d
  13. I'm not sure whats worse the cars or the song...actually they are on par
  14. Begs to ask the question, what was the ambient temp between the tests?? I would take this video with a pinch of salt. Don't you think that if it made a huge difference then car manufactures that spend billions on research per year would have already researched and tested this?? Don't you also think that the new F1 cars (which have intercooler heat soak issues) would also have black intercoolers if it made any difference?? I am sure the likes of Toyota, GM, BMW and the all the F1 teams have better test equipment then a hairdryer a few heat sensors, a cheapo intercooler and a car fan ... I rest my case
  15. I did it in my first Supra, they are actually pretty capable on track and quite fun. Obviously not as involved as a manual, however if you must shift a stick, pop it into Manu mode and shift the gears yourself.
  16. Cheers, Yeah I can see that, I will have a look at it later tonight, cheers
  17. Ah thats the one, I remember there being one which was similar style to the OEM but with the panel in the middle section.
  18. Started on measuring up the flat floor to be replaced with Carbon, was thinking about extending it out to fill the parts under the OEM side skirts. This was just a piece of carbon I had laying about to give you an idea. Yay or Nay?
  19. Scuttle panel mould almost finished, just needs a polish and then I will start to make all the outstanding carbon bits. I thought I would finish the current moulds first and then I can do a big carbon making session. For the intake tube I have had to use a high temp resin, looking at the temp indicators on the old pipe it was shown there was radiant heat of around 80'c this is the upper limit of the standard IN2 resin, so I will be using high temp 180'c resistant resin for this application. I have also Ordered Syvecs new WiFi telemetry unit for the ECU, this means no more messy cables which makes things a little easier and quicker.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BavXoTrHKY
  20. Welcome Euro Stanced Supra's hmmmm marmite. Show us some images of what you mean.. As long as its not like this ...
  21. A clutch alone you would be looking at £150-200 probably, I reckon £350-450 in total for all that
