  1. Right after looking around for a bit I have decided what I am going to do Once my move is out of the way I am going to build a new Supra up from a bare/rolling shell to a totally Stock looking TT6 Manual. I test drove a NA and it was a little too slow for me (sorry NA guys) I will be keeping an eye out for a good shell, it will be stripped and repainted in 1B9 (Quicksilver) Once I get the shell I will start a new thread.
  2. Nice results dude 600bhp is additive isn't it. I will also be in the high 600's hopefully soon. How are are the FZ201's I was looking at them for an alternative to R888's as I can get them at trade price.
  3. If you want to come over to the workshop then yes of course.
  4. They weigh in at 7.5kg each, the ones I originally looked at were 3.5kg however they are not FIA approved. I need the FIA approval for TA and other events so had to go with these. With the FIA approved seats the backs are thicker and stronger. This is still a good weight saving over the steel framed seats I had in there already (8kg Saving)
  5. Ordered the seats for the car now I have to wait 7 weeks for them to be made I have decided to go for the carbon but with a white back to suit the external of the car (not important but nice anyway). Should look nice. Here is a picture of them in a Supra (but with bare backs) https://scontent-b-lhr.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpf1/t1.0-9/10417789_10152172510822757_3251169309865457610_n.jpg
  6. That looks interesting, I may have to consider that if they will allow me in.
  7. Already sorted, My helmet has Hans posts installed from factory and I have a Stand 21 club device sitting with my race suit
  8. Yep these seats are designed to be HANS compatible "The headrest has been moved back to prevent the drivers head from being pushed forward when using a crash helmet and the shoulder belt holes have been designed to allow the use of a Hans device."
  9. Cheeky change of plans with regards to the seats...well actually its kind of forced the Corbeau Pro series seats I have will simply not fit in the car  So in the instead o the Corbeau seats taking place of the heavy Cobra steel framed seats I will be hopefully be going for the very skinny and light Tillett B6 Carbon racing seats (after I do some more measuring) but on first measurements its looking good. These bad boys only weigh 3.75kg each, this will mean a total weight saving of 15.3kg over the ones I have in the car already - Not bad. :D
  10. Cheers guys, I will let you know once things are all confirmed
  11. Good luck with the build are you restoring to stock?
  12. Cheers guys It will be nice to see how the car fairs (time wise) against other cars with similar development. I will by no means will be the quickest... I know that straight out, my experience and the fact the car is only running 600bhp against monsters with sponsored teams with pro racing drivers and power upwards of 800bhp and all the support crew I will be surely be in the minority in experience and support wise My support crew will probably consist of my wife and a couple of mates as helpers, a trailer and probably a pasting table with a single packet of space raiders as food (as I will probably have no money left to buy anything else ) But it will be a good learning curve, it will also be nice soak up the atmosphere of a true motorsport event/championship. I met a couple of the drivers at the Autosport show a couple of years ago, they seem like a nice bunch of people so far When I do enter TA, if anyone would like to help then I would be more than grateful, regrettably it would have to be "volunteer" work... you know for the love of motorsport
  13. Been speaking with the championship coordinator for UK Time attack and it seems the car would be suited to the Pro Extreme class. I am waiting for some more details but it looks like there could be a good chance you will be seeing the car in TA sometime in the near future
  14. That's easily going to be £100k plus. Its a thing of beauty so far... I Wonder how much it will change...
  15. Whats the reason for binning these items? weight, engine bay tuck?
  16. Well thats just perfect cheers. I will send them an email to see what the width of the entire thing is to make sure it will fit
  17. I cant see that, for some reason my login to Supraforums isn't working
  18. Hi all, I have been on the hunt for a new intake plenum for the track car. The thing is as my engine is further back than a standard Supra and 99% of all aftermarket Plenums have and angle at the end for the TB to go in front of the suspension mount as below. The thing is in my car these will fit but will not allow any room for a boost pipe due to the angle. I have looked into getting a custom one made by Hypertune but the cost for a custom unit will simply be too expensive. I have come across a company in the states call DOC racing which do a Straight fit Plenum which is ideal and they use a 90mm Mustang TB pattern. I just wanted to know if anyone has used this or have anyone who knows who may have used this plenum and with what results. The Quality looks OK, any thoughts??
  19. I don't agree with that, my old XR2 had almost the same MPG as the Supra, so would my 2002 EP3 CTR.. Neither of those are what you would call expensive cars. Simply said back in the 90's fuel was cheap and therefore fuel consumption was not a priority.
  20. I think if you are worried about MPG then don't buy a supra. It was from an era where fuel cost and consumption was never really an issue.
