  1. Now i have had a look on the search but for a reson unknown to me it's not loading.... So i have heard alot about our engines being "non contact" or "free wheelers" with regards to valves and the tops of the pistons. Now is this the case with the 2JZ-GTE engine, if the cambelt broke will it cause extensive engine damage such as cracked pistons, bent conrods, smashed valves etc.

  3. I know this is of no help now, but it may help for the future... Before i let my car in any garage for any work or MOT, i know it sounds geeky but i spend 10 mins on the garage forecourt just taking pictures of the car before it goes in, I.e such as the bonnet, wings, doors, rear qtr wings, hatch ,all bumpers, sideskirts, wheels, mirrors, interior, engine bay, well anything that is prone to being damaged and make sure they see me doing it and making sure that the picture of the garage with the company name is in the photo with the car.. oh and make sure you have a date stamp option on your camera. Yes i know its a 35mm film everytime it goes in and i know its a pain that you have to take it to a 1 hour processing place that does a date stamp on the back of the printed photo while the car is in the garage but i would rather pay £30 a year on film and processing then paying upto ££££'s in damage that i cant prove was done by me. Oh and no point using a digital camera cos that wont hold up in a court if it ever got there cos the picture may of been modifyed or the date could be programmed in wrong.
  4. How did you convert the dash to blue ?
  5. I would be intrested but i will need to see them 1st
  6. Looks like the height of the damage on your door was probably caused by twat who is not used to do driving a MPV or 4x4. Sorry about this mate, i know how you feel i have had a similar thing happen to me however i was in the car, and they "didnt notice" that the car was there and all i got was a "sorry mate"
  7. Your website does not seem to be working. How much would charge for a respray of a front passenger wing and damage repair on the rear passenger side im only talking minor
  8. Remember costs vairy on how they do the work, Cheap resprays will mean : mask up the windows lights and tyers roughen the old clear coat then dab a bit of paint on. Expensive resprays will : take the windows out, take the wheels off, take the hatch off, take the exhaust off mainly all the parts the are on the bodywork, mask everything up they need to, take the old clear coat off compleatly, do damage repair, then spend time spraying the car. I have seen cheap resprays and expensive resprays and you can tell the diffrence with the quality of the job.
  9. Who is going to see Doom When it comes out in the cinima ?
  10. The new one had the same story line as the original, The new one was more graphic and had better effects (of course) and the endings were the same. The aliens died due to the bugs in the water. All of it was fairly similar but there would be diffrences in the two. I do prefer the older one as it seemed a bit more scarier cos of the dodgy old special effects used :-s
  11. This costs ££££'S Paint will go from £250 - £900 a litre depending on what type of flip/pearl effect you have. And depending on how much you want painted i.e whole car you may have to look at 6-10 liters then you have labour on top :-). I havent had mine done but i went for a quote to get my civic type R resprayed when i had one, and the whole thing with a flip paint (£250 a litre) came to £2800 then you have to add VAT
  12. woops stupid eyes. Thanks mate
  13. I have been looking at the downloads section of this site and would like to know how to download the file Engine repair manual for TT i can see a link or button that says download. ???
  14. should try and get your money back !!
  15. Would you sell just the passanger wing - as this is all i need now. Also what colour code is the silver want to make sure it is the same as my jap spec tt
  16. Well i wouldnt go out in it and give it some welly staright away. Drive normaily or below 4krpm for about 500 miles so the oil can get in the turbos and all around the cams, etc. Go to the garage and fill up with 98 or 99 RON that should sort anything out with fuel degradation. Check the hoses, pipes. Check the Engine bay for Birds or cats Check the Coolent Level Make sure the brake discs are not to corroded (surface rust is ok but flaking rust is a no no). I personally would do the following, I would do an oil change and new filter before starting the engine cos all of the sediment (if there is any) would of settled in the filter and may of clogged it. Charge up the battery and try a day later. Put new plugs in Give it a wash hehehe. Hope its all ok for you bud.
  17. Park it round a mates - thats what i would do
  18. The number for MAX GT in basingstoke Not Miami GT
