  1. The only issue i can see there being with closed cockpits is what happens if the car is upside down? It would be hard to design something where the canopy could be removed when the car is upside down without any side exit (like a normal car).
  2. Sorry dude, haven't checked in for ages. Yeah its getting there, been pretty much 100% commited to my new business so this has had to take a bit of a back burner. Latest update is that I needed to get a custom extention harness made up for the Syvecs ECU as the area where the ECU is located on the car is so hard to get to and that there is so little loom to play with, splicing in the Geartronics ECU would be near impossible. Now JTI made us up the new extention harness means I can plumb in the geartronics gcu without having to be a contortionist, lying upside down with a red hot soldering iron an inch from my face with boiling solder waiting to drip on me. Yay for me and for my face... https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xlp1/v/t1.0-9/11217509_886063341468310_5947080742711194361_n.jpg?oh=651751c0e9bb436b9971f66f4f6ec304&oe=567CC62D
  3. Great vids mate Not been on here in a while so looks like you have been well busy Shame about the driver, good thing he was wearing a hans device. I would never go out in mine without one.
  4. I toyed with the idea of ceremic brakes on my car and its simply not worth it. People tend to forget that the actual brakes are just one part of the fairly large equation of stopping... I hope that you are also investing heavily on the other parts that matter, and without sounding off here, if you dont know what those other parts are then dont go and spend £10k on something thats going to make no difference what so ever over iron brakes. I would go and purchase pauls AP racing setup, its proven on the track on a couple of cars with more HP than you are planning
  5. Ah cheers, yeah the price is amazing on those helmets they are very comfortable. Thanks with regards the site, there is a load more stuff going on soon too - - - Updated - - - I dont ever remember seeing him after that day no.
  6. Im ok, I Wouldnt say I am that great. Used to be in a band a few years ago but then life and cars got in the way
  7. For us who play the guitar you probably have seen this already but you have to appriacte how amzing this girl is at only 15. Good technique, pretty much floorless. Shame she does not look that into it... and hell yes you need sound.
  8. As I have had a good day today I treated myself today to a new Lid Very much in keeping with the new look of the car Lovely and light too
  9. Sorry for the lack of updates guys, been focused on my new business recently, its been a busy few months Also had a nightmare with the prop shaft took an age to get to me so that put me massively behind as well Car is still getting there, spent a good amount of time on it today finishing off the harness mounts and seat sub frames as some things needed adjusting, will be spending all day tomorrow and all day Friday installing all the new electrics and looms so it should be up and running very soon, testing will follow so I will keep the updates rolling in. I think its safe to say that getting to the next round of Time Attack could be slim, that said things are coming together now I have a bit more time to spend on it. Here is a picture of how it is at the moment, I know you cant see much has changed but there has been an awful lot of work done on the wiring looms, pneumatics, brake lines, brakes master cylinder, wheel bearings, cooling etc parts you cannot really see. https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xfa1/v/t1.0-9/19597_835735896501055_6145574716872535795_n.jpg?oh=03db44c065156be5223fa1db7097aa4e&oe=562CF4FE https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xta1/v/t1.0-9/11267103_835735983167713_3951934775792068301_n.jpg?oh=dd2c2b3bab791bfd79e61fe00613512a&oe=5626542C https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xfp1/v/t1.0-9/11540842_10153080662883802_5523674631581637931_n.jpg?oh=d670ff5173a98a0a9952c0260d1e38b1&oe=5632023F
  10. I'm sure it wasn't a fluke mate, to get 3rd on your first event and what sounds like some serious competition is pretty awesome. Is it time to dust the angle grinder off again
  11. Hey guys, sorry for the lack of updates as others have already stated I have been on holiday in Asia namely North and South Vietnam and Cambodia. Its full steam ahead as from Tuesday so updates will be coming through again.
  12. Cheers, I thought so Was also thinking should I ditch the center bearing and get a straight prop.
  13. Hi There, Been mocking up propshafts today but needed a bit of guidance if that's ok. I think I am right in saying the angle of the flange on the gearbox has to be the same as the angle on the Diff?? This is just a mock up at the moment As this is slightly different to the usual Supra, I was just wondering if anyone could lend us some advice/thoughts.:d
  14. Is it his white supra at the end? I haven't seen the film as yet but i know there is a white Supra in it.
  15. Kwick fit are awful, I'm surprised they are still going tbh. I would have suggested Micheldever Tyres they seem to know what they are doing there.
  16. A Picture would be great thanks, would need to get the EPC Valve on it if I decide to purchase, I like the idea of the preoil when the ignition is switched on rather than doing it manually. My engine is already 2" lower than the standard engine, I dont think I can get it any lower unless I had some custom mounts made Not to mention the box is already nearer the ground than the V160 due to its design and I dont really want that to get a whack from the ground. Accusump will probably be more than enough to be honest, its just finding a place for it to go, I am running out of room believe it or not haha. Interesting thoughts on that Titan kit, out of interest if you were to make a dry sump kit what would you use?
  17. Yup correct, steves. I asked if he still had it around a year or go but he had sold it
  18. Ah really Chris, how much for the Accusump and what model is it, does it have the EPC Valve? Titan do a dry sump kit which works out around £3.2k shipped (with import fees etc) OK you still need to add a couple of bits which would make it around £3.8-4k..ish what do you think of the quality? http://www.titanmotorsports.com/2jz-dry-sump-kit.html
