  1. Given the go ahead and paid the deposit Now just need to remove the old vinyl stickers, any tips or tricks other than using a hair dryer.
  2. Cheers guys, looking at the feedback on here and on SM, I think this is now going to be happening.
  3. Possible new Livery for next year I think it looks the nuts Should look nice when its done!
  4. Ha I didn't even see this, that's very kind of you We mainly sell motorsport safety kit on our online store so not really stepping on many toes here, however we are increasing our lines (we only deal direct with manufactures) we also do custom carbon fibre work for some race teams as well as provide custom CNC work too. http://www.hawkemotorsport.co.uk The direction of the company is to remain solely Motorsport related, so stuff that makes a difference, no bling or gimmicks. Not sure if there will be much of a call for it on here, but as per the trader rules I didn't want to mention too much about it and obviously annoy traders.
  5. Speak with Ryan G he may know someone who could be after a car like that in Dubai
  6. Give yourself time, don't go too fast too quickly. Don't worry about people overtaking you. Just enjoy it. Auto is fine, I did some track days in my Auto TT and it was great.
  7. Not sure how long its been going on, the result of enquiry has not been announced. It is always best to make sure, so give the company you bought them off a call, there should be a serial number on the expiry lable. Give them that and they will tell you if all is well. Sometimes these also check out as they copy them from other belts. There are other differences as well, webbing patterns as well as stitching patterns. What make are yours?
  8. The harness snap hooks. - - - Updated - - - Speak to the manufacturer they are very helpful with this sort of thing. Its why I have always and will always use TRS.. UK based company with really good quality belts.
  9. Urgh really an R35... they look like a 10 year old Toyota Celcia. Not a spot on the Supra you have. https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xta1/v/t1.0-9/12108908_951325301589912_6841672143167056225_n.jpg?oh=3a3c756077bb92a885845ee1e1959806&oe=56D0C8F3 I know a number of ex GTR owners from track day use, racing, show cars, road etc that have bought them and sold them within a year, as yes they are fast but once the "fizz" has gone (as with all cars) they are about as involved to drive as a passenger is in driving a bus, unless you go full race car, then thats interesting. They also seem rather hard to sell on as well in the modded form, look at Paul Whiffins GTR, thats been up for a while now and he has dropped the price by £11k and that GTR has been done properly. At the end of the day though its up to you, just a shame that this car will be resigned to the MKIVSupra history books as some rich chav nutjob will buy it and whack air suspension on it smash the bodywork and sh*g his munter of a fish girlfriend in it. I mean who wants that.
  10. Which is the reason I have not provided any details about what I/we do. I just wanted to share it among the community in off topic as its something big happening in my life and I wanted to share it.
  11. I have kept quiet on here about my new business but I thought I would share a little milestone. As you know I am passionate about motorsport, therefore last year I set up a motorsport related business and I have just got confirmation of our stand at Autosport International show this coming January at the NEC... and the best bit ...yes the Supra will be on our stand Hopefully the stand will generate some interest and push the business onward and upwards So if you are attending keep an eye out for the car and say hi :d
  12. Why...? One of the Great few remaining Supra's to grace this forum
  13. Does anyone work for a company that can produce vinyl banners, wind flags etc.? I need to get some stuff made up for my business
  14. No, it seems there is a number of us that feel this way, glad it has come out actually. Its one of those things that you never really get to say. I saw your car on the stand, looked mint and a nice accolade for the Supra and the history of your car. I too feel guilty about updating mine or I start to wonder if people are looking at this and thinking... "oh blimey now what is he on about"..
  15. Yep exactly that, no responses then why bother. Exactly how I feel. I was not too far away from posting a last message on here a few months back...(probably wouldn't get any responses anyway) but thought better of it. The thing members should not be feeling like this from a "community" of Supra enthusiasts. H... I have always loved your avatar
  16. I haven't been on here very much recently, one of the reasons is that there are a number of people on here ready to jump on someone as soon as they want to do something a bit odd or weird with their Supra, I for one have had some odd comments on the gearbox conversion on my car admittedly not on the forum but from some forum members. Most of which have not got the point of why I am doing it but even so its a little disheartening. Not only that, when you do update your project thread there is about as much enthusiasm in the forum as a depressed atheist being asked to attend church. OK you get the usual's that will always say "awesome well done" blah blah even on projects which are not really their thing and that's great yet it seems the newbies just join but don't contribute to anything. I for one wanted to keep my project thread going but tbh, whats the point if no one shows any enthusiasm for it, I mean why go through all that time posting up pictures, writing up what you have done etc only for a tumbleweed response.. Lastly, if I am being truthful here I started to come on the forum less, the more people were talking and trying to persuade other members to change their cars to the dreaded GTR. Now I don't have anything against the GTR. But to come on the forum after buying one and then basically telling people to save their money and buy a GTR instead of what they have.. why were these people allowed to do this? I belong to other dedicated forums for the other cars I have at my home and I have seen people banned on the spot for saying those sorts of things why was it tolerated on this forum? Yes I understand its a car forum but its a dedicated car forum. Also when you challenge these people they pull out the big guns and start slating the Supra because its an old car.. or come out with comments like "have you actually driven one", its all very defensive. Since then the forum has felt more like a slanging match rather than a community, not to mention as before the traders have become a lot more reactive than proactive... The future, well the forum will get smaller, it will, there will be less people on here as more Supra's get put on the scrapheap, if however we can get rid of some of the stupid attitudes and show interest in peoples cars/projects etc and let it become a community again then that while the numbers will decline we will still have an owners club.. not something like a Civic forum...
  17. This may answer some questions - http://uk.motorsport.com/f1/news/video-how-new-closed-cockpit-idea-works/
