The Condition I have is Cholestatoma, which is caused by a damaged ear canal at birth...because of the ear canal I have been prone to ear infections, this has constantly caused my ear drum to be perforated, thanks to a incompetent doctor it was not diagnosed until I woke one morning about 3 years ago with blood pouring out of my ear...
Anyway due to the fact my ear drum has been perforated for a long time the skin renewal process in the ear has gone through the ear drum and in to a cavity inside where the ear bones and where my main nerve to the left side of my face is and this has caused a hard ball of skin that was eroding a 1mm thick piece of skull which separates my ear cavity from my brain cavity, therefore in order to remove it they had to drill a hole behind my ear to remove the problem without killing my main nerve to my face.
This procedure has to be done because the "hard ball of skin" can destroy the main nerve and cause the left side of my face to be paralysed for life, moving on from this if the bone that separated the ear cavity to the brain was breached then I could have a Brain abscess or meningitis which can cause death in a matter of hours....
They rectified the issue 2 years ago but it has come back which unfortunately can happen...
So there you go
