  1. I guess its going to be a new wheel job, the only issue is that the other 3 have been refurbished so the colour match will be totaly off Perhaps i should bite the bullet and buy some new wheels Any suggestions ??
  2. [sHOCK][/sHOCK]As some of you know i just had my wheels refurbed - closer inspection of one of the wheels shows a hairline fracture in two of the spokes (both sides of each spoke) Now i would imagine this would not of been picked up when the wheels were off for refurbishment cos of no pressure on the outer of the wheel but now they are on the car you can see noticable fracture in the paint, so i got a bit of sand paper and took back the paint to the bare metal which shows a crack in two of the spokes Can anything be done to rectify the issue or is it a new wheel job If it is a new wheel i am going to have issues finding one as i have the original axis hiros with "axis" stamped on one of the wheel spokes. Unless anyone knows of someone who has a spare one ?? Help
  3. Ok got my car back this morning, with the refurbed wheels.... hmmmm they have done a ok job they did not mirror polish the lip and dish which i am a little miffed by (they have buffed it and it looks good but its not a mirror shine, its slighty matt) but from the state they were in and they were in a very very bad state they look back to standard I did take some pics of the before the refurb ... but i cant seem to find them anywhere however i will post some pics of their work in a few mins....pic added It cost £70 a wheel which i think is pushing it a little concidering its not exactly what i asked for but hey.... i can always polish the lip and dish myself
  4. Cheers all thats looks like some great advice i am seeing my bro this eveing so will show him this thread.... this forum is the nuts, best one i have ever been a member of Cheers all
  5. if it is domesticated it probably can't fend for itself in the wild. Can you stick up flyers or advertise that you have found it? Otherwise maybe a local vet or RSPCA could take care of it and trace the owner/rehome it. In the meantime, don't give it too much lettuce, tends to cause the runs!!
  6. The Condition I have is Cholestatoma, which is caused by a damaged ear canal at birth...because of the ear canal I have been prone to ear infections, this has constantly caused my ear drum to be perforated, thanks to a incompetent doctor it was not diagnosed until I woke one morning about 3 years ago with blood pouring out of my ear... Anyway due to the fact my ear drum has been perforated for a long time the skin renewal process in the ear has gone through the ear drum and in to a cavity inside where the ear bones and where my main nerve to the left side of my face is and this has caused a hard ball of skin that was eroding a 1mm thick piece of skull which separates my ear cavity from my brain cavity, therefore in order to remove it they had to drill a hole behind my ear to remove the problem without killing my main nerve to my face. This procedure has to be done because the "hard ball of skin" can destroy the main nerve and cause the left side of my face to be paralysed for life, moving on from this if the bone that separated the ear cavity to the brain was breached then I could have a Brain abscess or meningitis which can cause death in a matter of hours.... They rectified the issue 2 years ago but it has come back which unfortunately can happen... So there you go
  7. Lol yeah that sounded weird, i meant behind my ear lol
  8. Mine is a Twin Turbo mate. Says that on the insurance document as well.
  9. Some of you may know 2 years i ago i went in for a operation which invloved drilling a hole in the back of my head where my ear is (amongst other things), unfortuantly a trip to the hospital for a check up has shown that i need to have another operation as the problem has now come back So i had a letter come through saying my pre assesment is on the 11th June and my op is on the 22nd June, quick for the NHS but arghhhhh !!
  10. Just had my renewal quote through from lancaster insurance Gone down £200 to..... £700 25yrs fully comp all mods declared with agreed valuation I feel happy
  11. As above my brother is wanting to get one. Now he is not sure what model yet, but has anyone had a TVR of some description on here? what models need to be kept clear of etc, anyone reccommend a model etc? I know its a bit vauge but i would like to help him make a decision about getting a TVR.
  12. Oh dear breaking point by any chance
  13. 1. To buy - Free if you look in local papers, but can be up to £250 for a purebreed 2. to get all jabs etc. - I think its about £40 all in all although that was a few years ago. 3. to insure - No more than £6-8 a month 4. to feed each week - £10 maybe depends on what you feed it cheapo adsa ash or sheeba lol you will be probably looking at 2-4 small tins a day or 1 1/2 big tins 5. scratching post thing - around £20 yes about £20 for a bit of twine and a log ! Litter Tray and Cat lit - Tray well about £5 cat litter £5 ish depending on how much your cat eats will determin how much you spend on cat lit. Flea treatment - about £7 - 12 a treatment (maybe more) Think about perhaps a bed for it (a basket and a blanket) otherwise it will be him and your missus and you will be sleeping on the floor lol £10 After a few months - New sofa ..... £1000 - if you get a kitten that is they always tend to try and claw the sofa even after you have bought them £££'s of different kinds of scratching posts, hoping that they will stop.
  14. The Beam pattern is on the inside so you will need to take apart the light unit anyway.
  15. Wont have the car for a week as she is in the garage getting her wheels refurbed, Its only been a few hours since i saw her sitting outside and now i have a great urge to go and drive her but i cant oh well
  16. That has to be the worst thing i have ever seen !
  17. They are based in Southamption I am dropping my car into them on sat for my wheels to be refurbished As some of you know i have the Original Axis Hiro's (not copys) and some dreaded corrosion has occured and the paint is now starting to lift - Which is a pain. I am having the whole wheel stripped the Lip and Dish Polished to a mirror shine and the spokes done in the same colour as the car. If no one has has any dealings with them then i will show a before and after of the work and be a test pilot. With regards to a mirror finish what do you reccomened that i use to stop corrosion on the lip and dish?
  18. You have to remember the actual cost of fuel is not expensive !! and therefore i dont belive that its the oil companys job to take the hit, ok they make millions of dollers per hour but remember they dont make all that just on petrol they do other fuels and products that are derived from oil as well. If the oil companies were to lower the price on petrol it would only be by a couple of pence which is pointless. Its the Duty and Tax on it that needs to come off.... about 40p MR BROWN !!
  19. Need to replace the one i have paint has flaked and gone a bit rusty..cant be bothered to respray it.
  20. I feel sick lol... There are people that try that shouldnt.... and there are cars that should never be tried on .... both of those statements fit the cars above.
  21. If you want to watch it - quick cos it wont be on there long i bet. And no i didnt put it up. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=4939078184096254535
  22. Its about time somthing started to happen perhaps this will make others do the same, fuel prices are stupid at the moment and its not the oil companies its all the fuel duty and tax on top of that !!....im suprised that this had not happened earlier to be honest... It used to cost me Upwards of £450 a month in my supe to get to work, now i have bought a runabout it costs me around £240 a month ... which is still way to much. The funny thing is they say use public transport .... i would if it didnt cost me £280 a month (£40 more than my runabout per month which still works out more expensive even with car tax and insurance) and was more reliable. Why would i choose to spend more money on public transport that is usualy late!
  23. I am getting my wheels refurbd and dont have any others to fit for the week they will be away. I dont need to worry about tread etc as i am not planning to drive the car anywhere (not if i can help it anyway) just for it to sit on thats all. Anyone - i will pay for borrowing them just give me a price....
