  1. I went to Cuba two years ago to the NH krystal Lagua resort in Cayo Coco. The beach is in the top 10 in the world and it just breathtaking http://www.nh-hotels.com/nh/en/hotels/cuba/cayo-coco/nh-krystal-l.villas-and-resort.html?type=gallery I will get some pics up, we did an all inclusive 14 nights, on the lagoon strut houses near the beach for £680 per person
  2. Press down on the arm where the spring is and it will release the tension on the stud. I found that worked for me.
  3. Sorry to hear that your car is dead. Although I dont think you will get much sympathy on here dude, where you said It begs the question for just how long were you running your car with this knocking sound? As people have said you have a dipstick to check for oil and thats the first thing i would have done if i heard the slightest strange sound. Anyway mate i am sorry to hear your engine is dead never nice to have that happen
  4. Would of been nice to know if it was a LSD diff.
  5. Ok cheers mate will give it a try tonight when i get home
  6. Thats what i thought but there is no movement that i can see or feel when i held onto the other suspension components when the wheel was turned, the knock feels like it is on the rack itself. May have to take it to a garage to see what they think.
  7. Hi All, Very recently I have developed a slight steering knock when the car is stationary and when you move the steering wheel left and right You get an audible knock and you feel it on the steering wheel and very lightly in the foot well. I have got under the car and got my wife to rock the front wheels and I can only feel and hear this knock on the steering rack itself and none of the other components such as the Hub, wheel, suspension arms upper and lower, drop links, ARB, sub frame etc. I am thinking what it could be really and if anyone else has had this issue. If it requires the replacement of the rack then thats not a problem, so if any traders on here reading this could you quote me a cost of a new rack please (PM me)
  8. Yeah i had something similar a few years ago someone whacked the rear qtr of the car in a car park and drive off, CCTV was there but when i spoke to the police about it they said "it does not meet our critera so we are not investigating this further" Anyway mate if you dont claim on your insurance then there is a good body shop i used in my most recent hit and run encounter... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=215421&highlight=richardstock1 Mitchell9006 offered to help me with the repairs as he has a body repair place (Darnely Autoworks) and you can see the repair thread below. Its good for you as they are in Strood, Rochester so only up the road. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=216735&highlight=richardstock1

  21. Unless you remove the soluble limescale from the water you wash your car with, you are always going to have watermarks if you leave it to dry on its own, that is unless you have a water purifcation system (reverse osmosis system) similar to the pole system that window cleaners use. Using a chamois is the best way and does not take long, especially if you use a "wet on & wipe off wax". http://www.turtlewaxuk.com/prod.asp?Partcode=FG5197 I use this for interim washes, and it assists with removing the water from the car, I can dry the car in less then 10 mins using the meguires microfibre waffle weave chamois and the product above, the combination works really well and leaves no water marks. Full a full washing session i will use the meguires 3 stage treatment.
