  1. Cracking job, lets hope it goes as good as it looks Santa Pod next?
  2. Don't get me wrong, the picture is fantastic with HD on xbox, sky, bluray... but a real pain with the retention. Not as much of a problem if I turn the brightness and contrast right down but then I might as well turn the tv off as then I can't see anything The TV does have a burn-in setting for which I've used. I've also tried many things from AVforums guide's... but still no use. I think it is just a case of cheap plasma TV = cheap components used. Jim
  3. After buying a Samsung 50" Plasma over a year ago, I now wish I went LCD/LED as it suffers from bad image retention in my games It seems worse with driving games where the speedo is static in the corner, guitar hero can be just as bad as well. And yes before anyone asks, I did follow all the precautions when setting up and running in the plasma. My last screen was a rear projector and I had nowhere near the same problems. As soon as I can afford it, I'm ditching the darn plasma and going LED. If you really do wish to go for Plasma I would stress that you don't buy cheap. Mine cost me £699 at the time which was the cheapest for that size, due to this I now suffer the price. Jim
  4. Doing great on this mate, you should be wearing a grin from ear to ear on how this car is turning out. Once finished, make sure you get a better camera for those finished pics
  5. Could be a good film. Interesting name for a website by the way
  6. True but they are normally a little longer than 24hrs though.. Guess i've found out the hard way just sat down to watch the rest of the film to find i've gone slightly over the 24hrs Yep i now cant watch the rest of my stuttering film, grrrrrrrr!!!! So my conclusion of download renting: RUBBISH!
  7. One other thing i don't like: Once you start watching the film you then only have 24hrs to watch it So if you have to stop half way, then ya stuffed if you dont get to see it within 24hrs
  8. I have the last of the Old Elite's with the Jasper chip in it bought around Jan/Feb time this year, so still pretty new. (my old Elite was sold due to the great rrod problems) As I say; other content can play fine.. trailers, sky etc.. just I begrudge paying to rent another movie if I'm having to put up with a stutter now and again.
  9. Yep afraid i'm using a proper HD Cable so no that When i view trailers or watch sky on xbox it seems fine?
  10. Last night I thought I would give a go of renting a HD Movie on the xbox. Shutter Island took my fancy, so up comes an option to stream or download. Thought I'd go for the download option (at 10gb feewww) Couple of hours later I sit down to watch said film to find the picture stutters ever so slightly We are talking a millisecond stutter every minute or so, just enough to annoy My setup is: 50" Samsung 1080p plasma Xbox 360 elite outputting 1080p Pioneer Surround Sound using optic cable through xbox I logged off of Live to see if that would help which it didn't. So wondering if anyone has any ideas or if you have had the same problem? I have googled the problem but not much coming back or it's me not searching correctly Must admit I don't think I'll rent again if it's like this. Jim
  11. I have the Sennheiser cx400II and think they are great ear phones. They also come with different fitments as well to make them more comfortable. http://www.sennheiser.co.uk/uk/home_en.nsf/root/private_headphones_classic-line_cxseries_502743 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SENNHEISER-CX-400-II-TITANIUM-/110581406539?pt=UK_AudioVisualElectronics_HomeAudioHiFi_Headphones&hash=item19bf2a5b4b Can get them cheaper if you want to import.
