  1. What if its an oil vapour? that would drag oil towards the BOV everytime it dumps pressure. My BOV is dropping a small amount onto the heatshield but my stem seals are due, never seen anything out the back on boost.
  2. I've been through this too with a misfire on one cylinder at idle and just above idle, pointless disconnecting a coil pack with the engine running you just end up with a constant misfire. So far I've remade all the connector, replaced a coil pack one by one with a spare and noticed no difference. Next i'll change out the plugs, running fairly new IK22's at the moment. Interestingly enough my missfire disappeared when the aircon kicked in raising the revs to 1k. Next on plan is the Idle control valve.

    Carpet Dye

Anyone used this stuff? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BLACK-OR-GREY-CARPET-FABRIC-VINYL-DYE-4-VALETING-ETC_W0QQitemZ320284351615QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item320284351615&_trkparms=72%3A984%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14.l1318 I dont want to go the usual black carpet route so I fancy a nice dark grey. Just found these guys too, looks promising. http://www.carchem.co.uk/aerosols.htm
  4. Hey hey about 9 litres, the needles only been right down there when I bought it from the dealership. (Tight Bd's)
  5. That the 1.6TDCI yeah? Good going btw, i didnt believe you to start with LOL:)
  6. Dunno about the engine, if it were mine i'd change the belt on the new engine to go in if its a 2nd hand unit before fitting. Renault manuals quote 5 hrs for the belt change on the RSI. 350's a good price btw.
  7. 84mpg, is that a 2cylinder diesel??
  8. I believe renaults timing belt change schedule is tight, i know someone who decided to leave their 1.2 clio for a few thousand mile longer and it snapped.
  9. Used to love my GTI6 but the electrics rotted and it had a nasty habit of breaking front springs and sending them through the tyre wall. G/f's clio is a 'V' plate RSI with 160k on the clock and it just refuses to die. Although she came home early this morning with it running on two cylinders(no Joke) two coil packs failed instantly lucky i keep spares.
  10. Only been on country roads with the odd blast here and there, wasnt really trying to get the mpg up it just kinda happened. Quite pleased with the way the car feels just now since refurbing the brakes and a full geo, has made a world of difference.
  11. aww still had loads left, only took 61ltrs averaged 30mpg. Not bad anyway.
  12. Yeah tell me about it but on the plus side its the first time i've filled it this this month. Be close on 80 quid this time i reckon.
  13. Check this out, I know it says KM but it's in miles. And the lights just come on too but i've lost my bottle now so i'll fill er up shortly.
  14. Hi mate, sorry to read about this. Your symtoms sound very similar to what my dad has, basically the pain in his joints started appearing and some days the pain was so bad he couldnt even lift a spanner or change gear. Doctors had carried out blood test and come up with nothing until my mum searched his symtoms on the net and showed this to the doctor. http://www.patient.co.uk/showdoc/23068806/ The doctor agreed and put him on steroids which cured the pain the next day. He's still on them but the dose is reduced. Apparantly it can come on after an illness or severe cold/flu. Just thought it may be of help to you. Mike
  15. some chicken wire downwind of it should do the trick.
  16. I think they may get abit funky too:d
  17. http://www.fivefingers.co.uk/ Was thinking about buying a pair seeing as i'm getting into running and stuff but they're fecking expensive for what they are. Meant to make you run properly so not to damage your knees and hips joints.
  18. I went from swearing by T1R's to Khumo's and they're great, bit shouty in the dry on the limit but that doesnt happen very often. I lost confidence in toyos after my rear tyre wall shredded for no obvious reason I then started hearing about a few others who experienced similar things with them.

    Need part badly!!!

tbh you'd be probably quicker getting one off Toyota. If you ordered one today they should have it for collection Friday morning. Unless of course a trader has one on the shelf ready to ship.
  20. Spot on guys, much appreciated.
  21. Wow, nice one guys, gonna give it a go.
  22. When you install XP and it asks who its registered to and this name appears in the control panel system general info section and everytime you install software. Does anyone know how to change this and where to go into? I thought it was in the system 32 folder but cant see anything. All suggestions appreciated as i'm getting earache from the g/f who doesn't like it.
  23. Nightmare of a job that is.
  24. The viscous fan draws air from the front over the engine blowing it out over the windscreen i think. Well my windscreen can steam up temporarily on the outside when its raining as the engines getting a warm start. So maybe get all the fans blowing the same direction and the jobs a good un.
  25. Thought it was driven by the fan belt not the cam belt.
