  1. Hi all, Girlfriends 03 plate yaris T sport is giving a P1349 code and has been hesitating in the higher revs. Been told it could be valve timing, VVTI controller or a solenoid within the VVTI controller that can stick. I've already checked the OCV and filter. Anyone know how much a VVTI controller is roughly from MR T?, just weighing up the worst case here as its gonna be a long job. Thanks Mike
  2. Was following you out of Blairgowrie to Alyth last Saturday. Nice shiny white Supra with the table top Veilside rear spoiler thingy.
  3. How about meeting me almost half way with the postage and say £155 all in
  4. I'd rather keep all the parts together as a kit mate as I think trying to sell the other bits and pieces will be more difficult otherwise.
  5. They might not be if all goes well, certainly generated a good bit of interest but one person got in there first.
  6. Just trying to add it up because i've had it sitting for so long now, the bearing alone is about 90 from Paul whiffen, hub flange i'm guessing is over 100. Seals and clips are probably about 40 - 50 quid. They're all genuine Toyota parts.
  7. Hi folks, I'm trying to clear space in the garage and fed up with these sideskirts getting in the road plus they'd look a hell of a lot better bolted to a Supra again:) These are genuine Toyota OEM skirts that I 'd taken off my last Supra and are in 3L2 red. Overall condition I'd say 8/10. Now Sold Looking for £250 ono and unfortunately Pick-up only due to the size. I live in Perthshire Scotland so bear this in mind. If your fairly local i.e Glasgow / Edinburgh / Aberdeen I can throw them in the car and meet you half way. The other parts I would like to get rid of is a complete rear hub bearing kit and flange bought for the TT 6sp but will fit any model. Looking for £150 ono + £12 postage for 1st class recorded. This is everything you need for a rear hub bearing change, hub, bearing, seals, clips, nut etc. Now Sold. If your interested you can either reply to this post or PM me or contact me by e-mail on:- [email protected] Thanks Mike Thanks for looking
  8. Three cans of aerosol carpet dye should do the trick, bought mine from some valeting firm after googling it. I got away with two but I went for the dark grey rather than black. Found the place, http://www.carchem.co.uk/ Cheers Mike
  9. Nope, two hammers. Hold one behind the hub flange and give the stud a good whack with the other and it should come out no probs. You might need a willing assistant to hold a drift of some sort if the stud is snapped flush with the hub. Use the wheel nut to pull the new stud through. 5 min job. apart from removing the wheel, caliper, disc etc lol.
  10. I reckon the best I've seen was 22.5k for a pre reg 09 plate in grey but it was an auto. I spoke to Peter Vardy the dealer in kircaldy who was selling new ones for 24k and they sold very quickly mostly to folk down south. They have two more coming but they are red and auto.
  11. Hi all, Just a quick one, will a TT 6sp rear wheel bearing and hub fit all the supra models or are there differences. Cheers Mike
  12. I know, peter vardy up this neck of the woods is selling them at that price too and so far I can't decide whether to get a White one or the grey metallic. I went to look at an ls2 vxr8 and it's such a huge car and practical too. It's a foot longer than the Monaro LOL.
  13. The LS1 which is in mine is a bit slower than what my double decat supra was, i think its around 5.9 ish 0 - 60, 160 top end but its a bigger heavier car than the supra and doesnt give the same punch on acceleration. I think its the way its geared rather than lack of power that made the 0 - 60 slower. Dont get me wrong its still a quick car and accelerates on a big wave of torque with the V8 vibrating the rear view mirror under load. It corners pretty good too but it is setup soft for comfort but Monkfish performance can sort things like that. Also very tunable with remaps, headers , cams, superchargers. An exhaust and remap should take the LS1 to around 400hp. The MPG isnt bad either 1500revs at 70 means 28 - 30 mpg, I have seen 34mpg but that was sitting for ages at 50mph on a busy road. In town it averages about 21 - 22 mpg. I cant really say what the LS2 Monaros are like just that they have 400hp probably have stiffer suspension, bigger brakes but vauxhall will try and charge nearly 1000 quid a disc for them.
  14. Hi all, This is a link to my car ad, any questions then just give me a shout. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1181126.htm I sold my Supra last November for this and although I've liked owning the Monaro I really want the new VXR8 with the LS3 engine seeing as i've caught the V8 bug. Thanks Mike
  15. Hi all, I've finally put this bearing kit on the bay of evil so if anyones interested here's the link. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230364942266&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT Regards Mike
  16. Well I did have the lot up on here for 220 which got a bit of interest but didnt go so really im open to semi-silly offers to get it to a better home.
  17. Hi mate, If your still after these parts i've a complete hub flange, bearing, seals and nut bought from Toyota sitting here taking up space. Just make me an offer. Cheers Mike
  18. At least you dont have three cars in the £400 bracket.
  19. At long last i've spotted a Supra in my local town:d Black with nice chrome wheels and a TRD spoiler I think certainly stood out from everything else in the carpark.
  20. EGCV is definately meant to be spring loaded to hold it closed. Maybe the actuator is gubbed and not the valve itself sitting in the downpipe.
