  1. Glad you are all OK! Sorry to see your car like that, I know how you feel.
  2. One of my favourite cars! Wish you all the best driving it you lucky bugger!
  3. Sorry if I came over a bit sharp, I honestly wasn't trying to have a go at you, I am just still pissed off about the whole thing! I agree with what you say about it not being the cars fault and there are lots of factors involved. I really appreciate everyones support on here including yours.
  4. Good idea Andy - only problem is the car has been left outside and if it keeps raining it's going to fill up with water! [sHOCK][/sHOCK]
  5. Hi Jurgen, Can you PM me the price and spec for both. Thanks Sean
  6. Hi Wayne, I would consider selling seperatly. Ryan would you take the ECU on its own? Sean
  7. Thanks firesorter, I'm fine. You called an ambulance for me? Outstanding my friend, that's what this clubs all about! A thousand thanks to you and everyone else who has shown concern. Sean.
  8. Power FC with commander. This is in full working order.
  9. I was doing about 50 - 60Mph and was accelerating very carefuly as there was so much rain coming down. If anything it must have just hit 4000rpm and immediatly sent the backend out. It all happened so quickly!
  10. Came down the slip road to join the motorway and hit a big patch of standing water, the next thing I know I'm going sideways. Gave it full opposite lock and immediatley dropped the clutch and tried to get some grip back through the rear wheels. Just as I'm getting somewhere I run out of road, shoot up a very steep embankment where the front end digs in and I go airborne and roll approx four or five times. Bye bye my beautiful car...
  11. It was me. I'm OK, the worst injury was a tiny cut to the top of my ear! I can't believe how lucky I was to get out in one piece - these cars must be incredibly strong. My friend who was following me in a Jag S Type R reckoned I was a gonner for sure! Thanks for your concerns everyone it's been a tough evening. Sean.
  12. Yes mate, I would consider selling it. Would you consider doing a deal against a a set of polished cam covers?
  13. Hi Wayne, I have a Power FC hand controller that you can borrow. I can have it sent to turbofit to arrive by 9am on Tuesday morning free of charge (least I could do for a free set of polished cam covers!). Let me know? Cheers Sean.
  14. I have one available. All in working order just missing the nobs for temp and fan speed.
  15. ...on the A414/ A1 roundabout at around 5pm.
  16. I run an international courier company and this is a problem most people find it hard to get their head round. You are absolutley right. One of the only things that avoid tax are when moving personal belongings from one country to another and even this requires a personal belongings declaration form. When declaring an item as a gift there is usally a maximum value allowed before duties are charged and this will vary from country to country. Anything over about £20 will be considered a high value shipment are will be subject to duties. Also be careful how you get your items shipped as large bulky shipments will often go on freight flights which can be subject to seperate handling and clearance charges. Always make sure that the shipping price you are quoted is door to door to avoid any unpleasant suprises. It all depends largely on who you use and how they prepare the customs invoices when sending the shipments. I imported a load of stuff from MVP using my own people in the US and payed no duties whatsoever however when Dusty sent my exhaust over using Bax I got stung for duties.
  17. Hi Dave, Importing from China is much the same as importing from most other non EU countries. Firstly if it's a personal import then the decision to use a UK importer or Chinese exporter would be based on price and how you intend to deal with customs. Both DHL and FedEx have extensive networks in China and therefore offer good prices if arranged from the UK, they also have their own customs clearance in the UK which again makes the process easier to deal with. Shipping costs are calculated using both "dead weight" and "volumetric weight". Dead weight is the actual weight of the shipment whilst volumetric is a muliplication of the dimensions of the shipment diveded by 6000. For example if you have a box that weighs 5Kg and the dimensions are 50cm x 50cm x 50cm then the volumatric weight is 20.8Kg. Shippers will always charge for the higher volumetric weight if they can. As for pitfalls, if you would like to give a bit more information on what you're planning on importing then I may be able to advise you. Do the people in China have a shipping agent, if yes do you know who they are? Cheers Sean
