  1. Good to see my panels going to good use
  2. Got the cruise control ecu from a uk spec £20 + £5 p&p
  3. Its not complete car at the moment tooks interior out for retrim and haven't had it back and needs a respray to look half decent, I've kind of given up on it its probably not worth much as a car but parts should get me around 4k. got brand new tanabe hyper medallion exhaust never driven on, greddy 3 row fmic and hard pipes, hks ssqv, apexi induction kit and all the uk big brakes, diff etc. Engine does have 116,000 miles on it but its a good engine no problems..
  4. Do you think I could get £1200 minus the turbos?
  5. Will it be a problem selling a uk engine as Its slightly different on the inlet manifold I believe? Or is it best to just sell the block? do TT engines still fetch decent/ish money? will need to find a new supra first anyway but I think it will be going this way sadly
  6. Me too but i'd be scrapping a better uk shell. Seem to be coming up quite regular stripped to bits at the moment
  7. Yes looked a good shell but whats the point in rebuilding a rusty one.
  8. Well I wont be using that shell rotten as you get under the sill plastics etc I don't think that one will see another owner is 'was' reg number M52 MNB in storm blue auto.. like I say already stripped down for parts another uk gone
  9. If it all goes ahead i'll keep you updated
  10. I bought a uk supra last year just as a track car its no minter on the body but its mechanically sound I rebuilt the engine (not the block) with all new toyota seals etc as it was a single turbo i converted back to twin (came with no turbo). I'm happy with the engine ticking over nicely but I think I want to take it out of this shell as another uk shell is available in very nice shape but its completely bare. Any advice on this? common problems when rebuilding a supra that has been stripped? subframe alignment, difficult wiring, bolts snapping that sort of thing? i'm fine taking the engine and gearbox out it wont be the first time for that, but never rebuilt a supra from nothing at all.. any advice/experience appreciated..
  11. Yeah bought a car with D2 Coilovers, spring snapped in half when they were a year old. rust quite badly, don't seem particularly well made? IMO
  12. Thanks for that i'll search it out and my exhaust system is finally complete
  13. Useful I needed to know that one, If you dont have the Cat temp sensor what happens if its not even plugged in to the loom?
  14. Will an N/a second Cat fit a jspec TT? Only reason I ask is I have a 2nd Cat from an N/a in the shed and don't fancy digging for it, especially if it doesn't fit.
  15. 1993 n/a auto, in ten years ownership Rebuilt starter motor with toyota parts cost about £15 Radiator, Coil pack that goes to distributor £45 All four shock absorbers failed, Original exhaust rotted away and thats it for ten years of motoring (and it was my daily driver)
  16. Are these still £100 + £15 delivery? Need one for my uk spec I'm building, Will it just replace the stock gearbox cooler? (at the moment there's nothing there just two hoses leaking gearbox fluid on my garage floor) thanks
  17. I think a few importers have thought of that, it makes me laugh when I see supras on ebay with 48,000 miles on them and the interiors so worn it looks like someone has taken an angle grinder to the steering wheel and seats I was going to say I havent got the original, but cheers Robert i appreciate that. Might as well fit the original clock then problem solved If you need my details again pm me
  18. I'm in the unusual position of needing the mileage altering on my uk spec supra as I had to buy a new Odometer. I need to add miles on as my car has 116,000 miles on it and the new odometer has 82,000 on the clock, there will be a mileage discrepancy on HPI if its not sorted by the next mot.. Anybody had it done? can any garage do this?
  19. It had a tanabe when you had it i know but it was a super medallion.. not sure of the differences but i'm hoping this one is quiet.. neighbors hated my last supra..
  20. Very cheap in my opinion £150. But then I thought why has no one else bid on it? ... Those ebay special unbranded exhausts go for more.. It will do for now anyway as its better than the rusty stock exhaust I have..
  21. Just bought a Tanabe hyper medallion exhaust mainly because it was brand new and cheap for what it is. I assume its quiet? as it has two silencers. Anyone had one and like it? cant find much info on them.. Its going on my stock uk supra
  22. Mace

    swapping diff

Not difficult I took one out a couple of weeks ago, prop out then drive shafts and finally the mounting bolts. Took it off with an air gun though as those bolts are tight. Had mine on axle stands so I could spin the drive shafts to get the Allen key bolts out..
  23. That vid i posted was a guy off HERE called 'ALG JOT' he said on you tube ''it actually turned out that the wiring harness was getting interference from the alternator and was causing one of the cam sensors to not get any signal.'' If that helps?
  24. Cam sensor but listening to it yours its not that - - - Updated - - -
  25. sorry to hear this,is there a warranty? never had engine knock that goes when revved? Its not bottom end that gets worse when revving? Doesn't sound serious to me but as usual you never know. Could it be cam sensor or something like that?
