Any interest in these wheels?
-
Hi, Im selling these wheels on due to a change of plan. I bought these wheels off another member on here for my supra TT, however they will will not clear uk spec brakes without spacers. Not long after recieving the wheels i came across a set of TTE/Lexus wheels so decided to go with them instead. I love these wheels and decided to keep them anyhow, as i had planned on getting another RWD car soon after and figured these would be perfect. Plans changed and I went for an AWD car instead. Anyhow, heres the link to the origional thread.... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=96648&highlight=work+wheels ....as you can see the wheels are like brand new, and look super sexy! Im looking for exactly what i paid for them, a bargain price of 700gbp. Im actually located in Ireland, so i had to pay extra on shipping, however i will also discount the price a little for someone who wants them shipped to them, so expect to pay no more than 750 delivered to you doorstep. Contact me here of through PM, Regards, Mini-E

No mate, he couldnt run the car fully, as it kept cuttin. That was just the bhp at the time it cut in. ie.it was 290bhp when it cut at just over 4000rpm. The car should have rev'd out to about 7000rpm, probably making much more power. I was hoping for about 380ish, maybe more. Thinking about it, I have the distinctive feeling that possibly theirs something up with the restrictor ring, and that the car may be boosting to 1.25bar, resulting in the boost cut. Im in no way technical at these sort of things, but do you think this could be the problem? Note: I never noticed the boost goin over 1.2 bar, but its a possibility, il be goin for a blast tomorrow and keeping a close eye on the boost gauge....

Sorry just another input. There was some mention about the FCD i fitted. The trl fcd raises the fuel cut from standard(correct?), what does it raise it to? Would this be the source of my problem?

Just had my j-spec TT6 BPU on the rolling road again and seem to have ran into some issues. First a little history... The car was first dyno'd nearly a year and a half ago, at this stage it just had exhaust/intake/1st cat out. I knew it was goin to hit fuel cut(as i had experienced this numerios times) but i decided to run it anyway. It made 300bhp (269whp) and 338 lb ft torque before hittin fuel cut at about 4700rpm/.9/1bar. Soon after i fitted a thor TRL FCD which eliminated the fuel cut problem. Also fitted a boost gauge. After some time i decided to go full BPU, taking out the second cat and fitting a 1.2bar restrictor ring. Also fitted a walbro fuel pump. This was no lenght ago. Enter Dyno No.2 (today)! The tuner ran the car but had difficulties. It was experiecing boost cut and not revving out fully. There was a spike around 4100rpm before power dropped off. The car made 290bhp and 367 lb ft torque. He said that I should fit a proper boost controller which should hold the boost out fully. He didnt think the second decat/ restrictor ring combo was the best idea. Is this correct, as in will this allow me to run 1.2 fully out so i can get my true power figure? And how come im expeciencing these problems? Also, he mentiond that i should definetly get a FMIC if im running that sort of boost. Again, is this correct? Is a FMIC needed for a BPU car? It being a 97 car, and having less than a 100k klms (bout 60k mls) the standard smic it in decent condition im led to believe. So, any input on the above would be greatly apperciated.

I decided to take them apart again, got rid of all condinsation and resealed them again. However, i still fear they might fog up again. Obviously this would be the best time to add an extra sealant, what does people use? Is it the widscreen stuff the best stuff to use as an extra sealant? Or anything else anybody use to stop that fooged up look?
-
I might have these... PM sent

Iv got a hot air gun now, so might try get rid of all the condinsation, then heat up around the seal and hopefully that should sort it. If now, il take them apart...

Hi, I recently referbed my jap spec lights, and sparyed the insides black to it the facelift look, came out well but..... one of the light has fogged up! Whats the best way of sortin this out? Will i have to take the light apart again?(which i dont want to do) Or will i get away with just taking the light out and resealing them? Whats the best thing to use when resealing them, that black windscreen silicone type stuff iv heard? Also, if i dont take them apart how do i get rid of the condensation? Will a hairdryer work? Have also heard people using silica gel in their to get rid of it. Any help appreciated, Cheers.

Iv got a white TT, and its manual, But its modified... Ooh, and i dont want to sell it, sorry!
-
Suppose thats it, its an 03 so newish enough too.

He didnt even say that, i did. The interior is just so flash compared to the supra. Dont get me wrong, the supra interior is nice, but the inside of the m3 is a WAY nicer placer to be, of course in my opion that is.

Gettin out of the E46 M3 and into the supra, getting out of a 5* hotel and into a hostel. But iv always got a comeback, "so you payed 3 times more than me for that car and its STILL slower..."
-
I hav a tt supra, my brother has a E46 m3 (that would be the 3.2). It is an truely awsome car, pulls very hard, standard TT on standard E46 i think id nearly have to go M3, mine is BPU and the difference compared to his feck all in real world driving. Hard to tell though as the difference in power delivery, never had a race. Iv even thinking of "upgrading" to one next.....
