  2. I take it Steve's cars in with mine then??? I cant wait to see it (your RX7 that is!) What day u going to Birmingham? the Sat?
  3. Does anyone else have and tips/recommendations?
  4. Will do, already have a few pics of it in Japan in the Vgarage but il post more once ive got it on the road! CANT WAIT! never even been in a TT Supra!
  5. Strange... i see ALOT more evos then Supras, must just be the Peterborough/Cambridge area? Think theres only 3 or 4 supras in Peterborough itself, only 1 of which is a turbo. Seen no end of Evo 7's latey and my mate ... only 18 ... has had an evo8 340 since they 1st came out, guess thats the real reason they aint overly impressive to me. Stunning cars though! If i had the money i think id be tempted! ummmmmmmm or maybe a WR1
  6. same but with 5 years no claims and im paying £1300
  7. Thanks alot, i cant wait to get driveing it! Only 3 weeks now
  8. Im not worried mate! ... well maybe just a bit! I have faith in you, everyone ive spoken to that has delt with you in the past said that they have had no probs with their cars at all! only 3 weeks now Hows the RX-7
  9. Sorry... my bad, didnt read it properly, either way be careful as i said seen some nice cars going through but ive also seen some very bad ones. A proper trader should know bad from good and would hopefully not buy a car thats in bad condition. Remember theres no history at all with the car so you cant be overly sure on the millage as well. Always a few risks mate, the supra ive just brought ive never even seen
  10. The southampton auctions are every tuesday!??? well im pretty sure they are! about 6 supras went through this week (didnt actually seem them, just the list). I got my 1st supra from there, it is well dodgey. You get to see the exterior of the car for quite a while (depending at what time its being auctioned) so you get a general idea of the condition, marks, bumps, very badly fitted kits etc. but you only get about 5 mins to look at the engine... if your lucky! Went for mine because the engine looked spot on, more luck then judgement probably but the car turned out to be fine. The problems where that the tyres were VERY bad and needed replacing which is around £500 alone, breaks needed sorting and it needed a few other replacement for the engine but nothing major! Basically im saying be very VERY careful and dont think that if the car goes for £4000 thats all its going to cost you! Could end up being ALOT more! Heard some bad stories in the past! Quite good fun just going down to see all the cars though, good luck!
  11. thats stunning! was it a gtr? how do the 2 cars compare?
  12. Just the stuff im after Branners, thanks mate. Im hopeing the tyres will be ok, there cant be many companies that make cheap nasty 19'' tyres... we shall see though!
  13. i was 21 and was insured on a N/A but Tesco only did it because i was an existing customer. Im now 22 and have a 95 tt 6speed on the way.. got quotes with most companies around the £1200 mark, with 4 years N/C and admitting to a full veilside kit, 19'' chromes, full stainless steel exhorst system and dump valve. Think the companies i had most luck with is A-Plan, Elephant and Admiral. Spent at least 4 hours on the phone gettin quotes. Good luck
  14. My TT is due to arrive in the UK in about 3 weeks and ive only ever had a N/A. Just wondering what you guys would recommend doing to keep the Supra in good running condition. Ie let the car run for 2 mins after journeys to let the turbos cool, change oil every so many miles etc. Any tips or knowledge from any of you wise Supra owners would be appreciated....Could even be helpful having a check list? This threads' probably been done before? If anyone has a link, let me know!
  15. ohhh no ... im quite tempted by the viper stripes now lol i think il resist temptations. I do think it looks pretty good though! Have fun.
  16. Really... What year is your car? Best i got out of them was £1300 about a week ago and my details are exactly the same as yours. 23, 5yrs no claims, no points. Thats with stainless steel exhorst system, full veilside kit worth arount £2000, BOV, and 19''s worth about £2000. Might have to ring them tomorrow and see if i can them to go a little cheaper!
  17. The threads got technical now and way out of my depth... just wanted to say the cars looking good! £10k for a decent 97 seems like a very good buy to me! As for the risks, as already mentioned with buying cars its very difficult to eliminate 'all' risks, think youve done a good job by putting the thread up and everyone on the site has been helpful. Hope all goes well with the car mate, and im sure we will all be seeing you soon at some meet.
  18. Actually i say fairly common but i cant say ive even seen one about outside of a show!
  19. Very nice... love the kit, even tho its fairly common still does it for me... just cant wait for mine to get here
  20. http://www.jm-imports.co.uk/forsale/95aerotop.html
  21. Just saw this http://www.torque-imports.co.uk/cardetails.php?c=30 seems to be a very decent price for a '99 model... Just thought id put it up incase someone happens to be lookin for a nice looking VVTI.
  22. As mentioned ... I think Jurgens will be available pretty soon, 1 of the nicest aerotops ive seen for a while. Decent price too! GO FOR IT
  23. i think there was a thread about the car actually... pretty sure its owned by a member!
