    Hi, Im new :)

My quote was shocking .... Elephant was about £600 cheaper even with that discount! Make sure ur rear wheels arent too big for the arches! sorry ... sore subject for me at the mo!
  3. Till im driving along at 160mph have have a wheel fall off! lol Really hope it works! ... its not working out too cheap! SCAREDDDD!!!!
  4. Could be going ahead with it tomorrow, basically cutting a piece of hub off the actual wheel to change the off set (so the tyre will no longer hit the wheel arch) ... Chris Wilson has been VERY helpfull (thank you Chris) so far but I was just wondering if anyone has any last opinions/stories before I get this done?
  5. No thats from my guy... Your man is based in york. A good 3 hours from here, will be very difficult getting the wheels to him!
  6. Dont bother ... use Jurgen instead.
  7. He's confident it will be fine but will take 1 last look today to make sure he's 100%. Its going to cost me about £50 per wheel + VAT does this seems like a fair price to you? Thanks again for your help.
  8. hummmmmmmmmmm so is that a 'dont do it then'?
  9. i sware that yellow supra was on that site last week for £19'995?
  10. Thanks for everyones input. Need as many opinions as possible, destroying a set of wheels and killing myself is pretty much the last thing i need. Its a precision commercial engineering company that will do the work. They dont usually do public jobs and mainly do work for large companies such as perkins engines. They have done this as a favor to the the guy that owns the body shops as he used to have closed dealing with them in the past. He has also pointed out that the hub is massive when compared to average alloys and as you have mentioned the manufacturer them selfs only shave the hubs to change the offset of wheels. I dont think ive got much of a choice to be honest.
  11. Exactly what i said to matey that came up with the idea. He said its been done before many times, looked at the wheels closely and he said theres enough metal to take 5-10mm off with out fear of weakening the wheel. He seems very confident. Im a bit scared!

  13. I know the off set can be altered outwards by adding things such as spacers but has anyone done the opposite? To get my overly wide wheels to actally fit under the arch it seems that the best or only options is to have 5 - 10mm sliced off the wheel its self! Has anyone done or heard of this before?
  14. Right... incase anyone is interested it seems that the best plan of action is to now take a slice off the wheel its self to alter the off set. Has any one had this done before?
  15. Time to cut some more of the arches off i guess!?
  16. I think they look stupidly nice... doesnt look like it belong in this era!
  17. .... not bad!? Sounds fukin awesome!
  18. Yeah ive got the yellow springs actually!
  19. They are lowered springs, im interested in getting higher 1s... not sure of the offset and other details ... i got the car as is from Japan.
  20. I think i gained about a cm and a half from having it shaved, the guy did say he might be able to take a bit more off but he thought he done enough. I think the wheel its self is just to wide for the arch, the tyres are 265/30/19's, not using any spacers so thats as far in as the wheel will go! This is becoming a right pain now! How much should i expect to pay for new springs?
  21. Is the factory fitted bilstein suspension adjustable at all? Can is be stiffened? Still getting a little bit of rubbing on my arches even though ive had the arches shaved!
