Well I've never driven an auto supra but I have driven other autos and I don't get on with them. I know they're easy to drive but it just feels too strange and I like the more involved drive of the manual.

Must be some more out there?

If it isn't a fake, then it is a guarantee that the funds are available. It is like a cheque in the fact it is made out to the recipient and you pay it in, however once the bankers draft has been signed, the money is no longer in your account, it exists only in the form of the bankers draft. I got one for a viewing at the weekend but had to take it back this morning and cancel it as the car wasn't any good. The person I was dealing with had the same concerns over it being a fake so we came to the agreement I would take several different forms of identification. This would reassure them that you are who you say you are and that if the draft was fake, then you could be tracked down immediately. I took my passport, a utility bill, my driver license a recent bank statement and a bank statement from the day of drawing up the bankers draft showing the funds coming out to go onto the bankers draft.

That looks pretty good Jurgen. what year and model is that? if I can't find one with the oem skirts and spats, do you know anywhere that does them?

Yeah, I was also looking at buying grahamc's supra and did exactly the same as you. I am currently insured with sky and drive a mkiii supra turbo which has mod's to it and have been insured with them no problems for the past 18months. I a quote in august for a jap twin turbo 6 speed with bpu and told no problem would add a 235 to my current policy for rest of the year. Excellent I thought, so I started looking around for suitable cars. I thought I'd check on the insurance before I went to look at grahams and they tell me exactly the same as you. No can't insure you on that. So I find a different supra I'm interested in, sorry can't insure youon that either, with your age (21) and the sort of vehicle the underwriters won't insure you. They have recently changed their criteria and therefore are now unable to provide insurance on such a vehicle to someone in your situation. So I thought I'm screwed, sky were pretty much the only company that would consider it for a reasonable price before they changed the criteria, I've no chance now. However I phoned adrian flux and they were more than happy to provide me with a half decent quote with all mods declared. So looks like I could be changing insurance companies shortly.

Yeah, its a misprint, take a shufty at the the pagani website: http://www.paganiautomobili.it/english.htm Theres a tech data part for the Zonda R, it's max rpm is 8000. Sure would have been an awesome car if it went to 18000! However reliability would be a major issue.

Hi, thanks for dropping me a message. I'm not a big fan of silver ones to be honest, theres far too many of them about. Just out of interest, how much are you looking to sell yours for? Have you got any more pictures, the one you have doesn't really do it justice.

yeah, i spotted that. I don't like it though. i'm really not a fan of over the top bodykits and spoilers. personally I think they can make the car look cheesy and chavvy. I prefer them standard, apart from some oem skirts and a tasteful front splitter and aftermarket alloys. thats the lot for external mods, I don't think they need any more. but thats just my opinion. it's also a bit more than I'm willing to pay, 10K is pretty much the top of my budget, don't want to go any higher than that really. If you want to take the TRD kit off and put standard body parts back on, drop the price to £10K then I might be interested, however I don't think that would be in your interest thanks though. I might be coming to you for one shortly anyway if I can't find one on UK shores.

Hi, I'm in the market for a MKIV. I currently have a MKIII Supra and have been umming and ahhing about a MKIV for a while now. However I have made up my mind and I'm going to have one. This is what I'm looking for: Twin Turbo Six Speed UK or Jap OEM skirts preferable Ideally Black, other colours considered BPU preferable Stock/Nearly stock bodywork (no aftermarket bumpers, spoiler etc) I am looking to pay up to around 10,000 for the right one. Failing finding the right one in the UK I think I'm going to look to Jurgen to import me one. Thanks

A few pics from the evening...... Taken on mobile at night so not great but you get the idea. Im sure a few of you got better pics of the evning. Nice to meet the few of you I spoke to. Think I spoke to Darren-K at one point...? I was in the red mkiii you may have seen diving all over the place lol. Ended up finishing off at Ginn Square at 11.30ish, was mega busy. http://img291.imageshack.us/img291/1532/dsc00254largege1.th.jpghttp://img291.imageshack.us/img291/8130/dsc00255largefb0.th.jpghttp://img140.imageshack.us/img140/7690/dsc00258largeqk7.th.jpg http://img291.imageshack.us/img291/4843/dsc00259largegt2.th.jpghttp://img166.imageshack.us/img166/886/dsc00261largelx9.th.jpghttp://img291.imageshack.us/img291/2721/dsc00262largebd0.th.jpg http://img166.imageshack.us/img166/4149/dsc00265largejp0.th.jpghttp://img140.imageshack.us/img140/4831/dsc00266largenr4.th.jpghttp://img166.imageshack.us/img166/4994/dsc00267largeas5.th.jpg http://img166.imageshack.us/img166/3265/dsc00268largegy9.th.jpg

OK guys put it in your diaries, we've settled on the 28th OCTOBER It also looks like the main meeting spot should be Morrisons by Blackpool Airport. So unless we come up with other ideas for the rest of the day or if we do, you don't bother with them, that’s where we'll be. So that moves us on nicely to the extracurricular activities, if anybody fancies them. Someone mentioned Go-Karting at Starr Gate which isn't a bad idea, but personally I'd prefer a blast in my supe than a go kart but the options there should you fancy it? Otherwise there’s the option of a drive up Lakes or Forrest of Bowland if anybody fancies that and knows a decent route? Either way I liked the suggestion of then going for a friendly pub tea up at the Red Lion after whatever we chose before we do the Illuminations. Times ticking on so really need to get some feedback and suggestions put down now. Thanks

Hi guys, trying to get something organised for this over on mkiiisupra.net and tezzpip posted it over here too. I know you guys did this last year so if anybody has some useful suggestions then I'm all ears. I have concerns over where to meet due to what I read about the police chucking you off morrisons last year and have since read in addition to that while doing some reasearch on the cruiseblackpool.co.uk site that they have had problems with using most major car parks in the Blackpool area, Morrisons, Halfords, Tesco, B&Q etc although Yeadon Way was mentioned as a possible safe haven lol. However I've not been down that area for some time and don't know it's suitability. Any suggestions on that front please......? Secondly for those wanting to make a day of it and not just meet up at the above loaction in the evening, what would people like to do? I suggested a drive in the Lake District or through Forrest of Bowland, however I don't know either well enough to suggest routes without some recon first. I know yourselves have organised Lakes drives before so if anybody knows some good routes round there or Forrest of Bowland then again, suggest away........ If we do the drive then I suggest a meeting place in the Preston area for that as theres no point for people coming from further a field going to Blackpool then going back towards Preston again. I was thinking of meeting around dinner time/early afternoon for that, have a few hours drive, stop for a break and a drink etc and then come back towards Blackpool area for tea time and go for a pub meal or something? Then meet up with anyone else at predetermined car park for the Illuminations Cruise? Ok, they're my thoughts for now, as i said I think as a group you've got more experience of this then I certainly have so as many suggestions as possible would be helpful and will also ensure people are happy with the event. Thanks Ben
