  1. Ta for the info Michael. I might go for the torque convertor for now, to see what a difference they make. Ideally, would like a ride in a car of similar spec to mine, and one that has an uprated box. Would be ideal if there is a box out their that alters the gear ratio to higher speeds. J
  2. Im ready to upgrade my stock A/T Box. Considering the BL auto with torque convertor upgrade too. Havnt considered manual conversion due to cost and extra labour required to make it all work. Im after a plug and play solution and the BL appears to fit the bill. Ive hard it best used in auto mode rather than putting it through manual mode as its much weaker in that mode ?? Any thoughts and suggestions on is best to go for on a 2-2.5K budget ? Ta
  3. Just swapped my seats for a pair of racing seats, hence the sale. Drivers and passenger side from my RZ import model. Kinda dark grey clothe material. Ideal for re-trims. No scuffs/stains/rips/tears/fading etc anywhere. Frames included. Seat belt mechanism not included as Ive re-used them on my racing seats. Buyer to collect from Bury, Manchester. PM with offers if interested Paypal payments only please. Ive got 2 photos on my mobile phone. Will update thread later when I get the time.
  4. With memory being so cheap these days, you might as well get the benefit of the faster memory and buy a few new sticks of DDR2
  5. Gamer, Hope you get your car sorted. I know how it feels having to wait ages for any progress etc. 3 months I waited for my car to get booked in, get the work done and out. But at least the jobs all good and no complaints on the workmanship. Id rather wait and have it right than rushed through, and its not right on collection day. Whats the spec of your project - mechanicals from your orange car moved across to the new one ?
  6. Thanks Gamer. Glad you remembered. The whole project wasnt too bad in the end:- A new washer bottle had to be fabricated as the original one is too big to stay in the stock location, so a smaller one was necessary. Oil dip stick was in the way of the plenum, so had to move slightly moved heater element as that was in way of new intercooler pipe cut hole for new intercooler pipe to be fed through relocated battery to trunk relocated fuse box relocated engine coolant overflow bottle Car drives sweet, just needs a few adjustments on the fuelling side of things, but other than that, its all good How is your project coming along ?
  7. Just had one fitted the other week. Pretty impressive air flow going on with it. Made over 40 rwhp just by bolting the thing on and throttle response is much more responsive now the stock (and crap!) traction control has been removed. Getting the fuelling corrected next weekend so hopefully more gains to be gotten. A worthwhile investment.
  8. Avoid any toshiba shite less than £450. Slow and cumbersome spring to mind. I gave mine to the missus. It can just about handle internet browsing (!)
  9. Id get an old merc diesel. Bit of a barge but solid as a rock.
  10. JAE was a great show on the sunday. Shame about the weather on Saturdy, but hey, its July in the UK, what more could we expect, meh. Good to see some old and new faces as always. Looking forward to next year.
  11. I was told parking space at that restaurant was limited :-0

    Rain

I think East of England show ground is jinx'd. Its pissed it out every year since it moved up from Billing, where it was always sunny !
  13. Theres some unbeleivably sad people on the t'internet, who have nothing better to do, so Id say fake
  14. When I had the stock twins on my Jspec, and had double de-cats fitted, with nothing other than intercooler, exhaust and air intake mods and FCD, I was hitting 1.25 bar. The Jspecs have the overboost problem due to the weak actuators on the turbos (?). I remedied the problem by putting the primary cat back on. Boost went down to 1.1 bar which is much safer. After that I went single!
  15. Stock supra offset is +50 on a 9.5 inch rear rim If you stayed with 9.5 rear width, and used +45 offset, it pushes the wheel 5mm out, and helps fill up the arches a bit more. Im not sure about fitting 20inch diameter rims with 11inch width on a supe though. Might be a case of wheel arch rolling perhaps ? I always use this website to determine what the correct offset is required: http://marksink.com/tire_wheel_offset/offset.html

    Hello there!

High mileage is not a problem. However, buying a low mileage example wont necessarily guarantee it to be in better condition than a higher mileage one. Always check the UK service history. I wouldnt buy a UK car without having full service history.
  17. yeah, N/As are very affordable cars. And bloody good value for money. Shame youd spend the value of the car on petrol within a year.
  18. Id say fake. The car didnt even flinch on impact. I remember an old pal of mine nearly written off his bentley after it came into contact with a grouse ! so god knows what should have happened to this car in comparison
  19. Crikey, I get 60 miles out of £20 from my supe with a big single on, with granny style driving (which Im good at!)
  20. Looks nice matt! What rims are you going to fill those arches with ?
  21. If and when it happens, if the worlds gonna end, its gonna end, simple as that. If we are destined to become wiped out and extinct like dinosaurs, then shit happens. I aint gonna lose sleep over it
