1. looks like Turbofit will get a call then Thanks James
2. I'm piecing together an GReddy electronic boost gauge from bits - its slow work I have the gauge and housing, power harness and (thanks to Nic ) I now have a pressure sensor, I've tested it all out and it works fine - just need to plumb it in. It looks like I need about 2' of vac hose and a t-piece to T into the standard pressure sensor hose on the manifold. Anyone have any advice/recommendations on where to get this?

axel stands

Take a look at the picture again. Jack points have the single diagonal hatching (shading) front and rear of the car, whereas axle stand points are indicated by the dotted fill at either side. If you get down level with the side of the car you'll see two grooves approximately where the axle stand points are indicated in the picture. Also worth noting that the Halfords axle stands (I have some) don't come with any protective blocks between the stand and the stand points on the car. Worth finding a piece of soft wood and making a groove down the centre to protect the car because unless you are putting the car up on four stands (i.e. keeping the car level), you'll end up bending the stand points out. Hope that makes sense!
4. 13 - probably crankshaft position sensor 34 - probably waste gate actuator or vsv Alternatively your ECU is knackered. Hopefully someone with more knowledge/experience will be along shortly
5. I wish I had this advice around when mine went - I ended up using a metal epoxy used for plumbing - worked ok for about 120 miles, no where near as elegant as this solution though
6. I'll take the 2nd decat (plus bung please).
7. Ahhh - sweet - too late for me tonight - just stuck the seat back in will check the c-clips tomorrow. Thanks!
8. I stupidly decided to remove my front seat and see if I could do some temporary repair to the seat stitching. I've wasted quite a bit of time just messing about - but its getting dark now!!! Anyone know how to get this handle off please?
9. Speedo/Odo convertor from km->miles DSC = Digital Speedo Convertor This one appears to be a TRL made one.
10. I've said they are crumbling to the touch but I've not checked - I'm guessing that 13 years of abuse will do that to an intercooler! IF only I had the funds to purchase a new/uprated one...

Mr T

varies widely. My local Mr T is a bit snotty - Its also a Lexus main dealer - so they make all the excuses under the sun that they can't do work on my import. At one point I had the service manager telling me that the import has a different ECU...news to me

Canada

I seem to remember a Canadian guy over here for a while came on a Bracknell mini-meet and IIRC he explained that there are literally no MKIVs in Canada (yet) because there is an import law restricting non-Canadian Domestic Market cars being imported if they are younger than 15yrs old??? If that *is* the case, then you can expect to see some in 2008 perhaps?
13. no - not a straight swap, the auto rad has a built in transmission fluid cooler in the base of the unit, the manual rad doesn't. You would need to get an after-market cooling unit such as the fluidyne like this one here. FYI: I recently got a new auto rad through Steve Manley (Oxford Toyota) for ~£300 including 10l of Toyota coolant.
14. I have a rad from a manual TT if its any use? You'd need a seperate transmission fluid cooler for it though...
15. Nice and clean! I really like that veilside front/skirts and standard spoiler combo in white.
16. Snap! I have done mine all blue except rear heated windscreen and front demister buttons which are red I found the EL wire to be a PITA so I didn't use that in the end.
17. Ta Nothing yet - got a nice fruit smoothy for breakfast though Looks like it will be a "Happy Birthday to me, from me" Now, what can I buy for the soop...
18. I make sure I read BOFH whenever there's a new one - need to catch up on my Register emails obviously
19. I always get my docs straight away as I always pay the full amount up front.
20. In that case I agree - worth more than £20...
21. All I can say is WOW! Got mine yesterday, The packaging was nothing short of exceptional, the Mrs. thought I'd bought her some new bling, imagine her disappointment Fitted them this morning - they look so good I've taken some pics (excuse the camera phone quality) The only problem now is that I'm going to have to respray my dash to keep up! Excellent work Paul and big thanks
22. Is this the whole unit + gauges etc or just the front casing bit? Pics? £20?
