  1. Would you get this in the supra? doesn't it have a plastic fuel tank? I thought the accumulation of gunk thing was mostly from old metal tanks suffering corrosion??
  2. stevie_b - if you don't get any joy from affney - I'll take that off your hands
  3. I'll take the aero top roof section off your hands if you decide to break it.
  4. happy birthday - Phew - managed to get that in before the end of the day Hope you had a great day/evening
  5. Keron, £10 for the warning light cluster? (if that is the one in the top right of the dash)
  6. I have a problem with mine - took it back to hellfrauds and some old duffer simply pluged a simply charge meter to it and waited for the green light to come on - "good charge that" he says, so no swap out for me - In his defense, the battery does appear to hold the charge ok, but its the cold cranking amps that seem to be suffering...
  7. I'll take these - gonna have to get them delivered though PM sent.
  8. Yeah - that'll be me at BG Group - do you work at BG Group too???
  9. I personally love the black piano finish look - care to share how you've done it?
  10. the salt is probably added to act as a water softener, makes for better more soapy suds...
  11. Get a new battery. Halfords actually do quite a good deal on their long life calcium based ones. A quick search on here should through up the part. ~£50 IIRC...
  12. It was me - I tried waving to you but I guess you didn't see me until I was ahead of you in the inside lane? I guessed it was you from Stonkin's previous spotting. That sure is one good looking supe in green with HIDs - Note to self: Fit the HIDs that I bought months ago!
  13. First - check the second button on the drivers side switch panel (has an icon of a window with a cross through it I think) if this is on/enabled then the passenger side window cannot be controlled from either of the window switches - so check that the button is not enabled and try it BTW the drivers side window switch is the only one with a green light on it - so the passenger side sounds fine. 2. Central locking stuff - if the locking switch on the drivers side switch panel (next to the window lock one mentioned above) doesn't lock/unlock both doors then I would suggest that you have some dodgy wiring/connection. HTH
  14. Check coolant levels - you may have had an air lock? I saw strange idling like that on mine when the coolant was too low after doing a rad change. Had a *big* air lock, once cleared (and topped up) idle problem vanished.
  15. I think the favourite place to T off is the stock turbo pressure sensor hosing off the throttle body. This might help Or someone else may be able to provide a better location...?
  16. To confirm brake fluid is the problem, when the warning light comes on, the brake light (near the stock temp gauge) will also light. The fluid level is *very* sensitive, so lifting off from accelerating, braking - anything that might make the fluid fluctuate around the sensor will set it off.
  17. I did it a while ago, but not for anything major, just liquidity/cashflow etc. It was very straightforward for a small loan ( My advice is go prepared with a plan of how you will use the money, and more importantly how that plan will allow you to pay back the loan. For a significant loan I would imagine that you would need to provide a detailed business plan including what net earnings you expect over a 3-5 year basis. Interestingly I've just swapped the "I'm my own boss" life for a "normal" 9-5 life. There's a lot more to running your own business than some people realise. Lots of self-discipline required. IMHO
  18. if its the centre triangle and the brake light to the right of the instrument cluster then it is brake fluid. It may look like the level is at max but its very sensitive, top up the brake fluid and it will go away. I have this at the moment on mine, its a handy reminder that my pads will need replacing in about 3 months
  19. Saw you this morning about 8:30, I don't think you saw me as you were nose-to-tail in traffic. Anyone here? There seems to be a lot more on the roads in Berkshire lately..?
  20. Yeah - definitely roof line - Although this morning was bright and sunny enough to have the roof off albeit a little on the chilly side!
  21. Saw you this morning - you turned off onto the M4 - waved and got a wave back I think I saw you the other night too on your way home? Always nice to spend some of my (short) journey drooling at someone elses supra for a change!
  22. Auto was probably in overdrive, from 60mph the first thing that happens is you double-kick down into 2 and revs instantly rise to about 6k - well out of the boost range - you then rev the nuts upto redline until it changes up to 3 and you get some proper boost. So 2 car lengths yeah - if the above happened. Oh - and by the way, in 3 at 60mph with O/D off, you are at about 3k revs, right in the sweet spot for instant boost at 4k I may be slightly wrong with some of the rev ranges etc, but I do know this, if I'm cruising in traffic at 60mph, when the road clears and I want to take off, I need to have O/D off or when I kick down it sounds like the poor engine is chewing glass [sHOCK][/sHOCK] and I get no acceleration. Just my take...
  23. Have a good one Darryl - why don't you treat yourself to some random thread deletion (none of mine of course )
