  2. and congrats on the VVti... Since you're coming up from Folkstone, you could come into London and meet us if you can make it on time. We just want to scare the whole of central london into submission tbh lol PMR446 is European standard for licence exempt, short-range radio equipment. The radios can be used anywhere in the UK and Europe. Some members have them, and some don't - it makes convoys a little easier. Put your name down when you know you can join us, or let us know if you can't so that we can expect you.
  3. Fo' sho! It's my first mkiv convoy 'n' meet, so a real special occassion for me. Missing the bosses' bbq for it... oh well
  4. I'll be the quietest one amongst you lot... Great. Good to see the convoy count at 10.
  5. Jurgen comes out tops once again:respekt: Well done Steve, well deserved I'm sure.
  6. Here's the map once more... look for the red box. This is the lardiest parking area in Haymarket. It's off the one way system, just between a couple of zebra crossings. You'll see a statue on the opposite side of where we need to be. Hope this is helpful for those who don't know the area. Do note the one way arrows on the map, so you don't boost down the wrong way.
  7. Gotcha. Easy way to spot me: Malaysian + ponytail = Ben. Heh heh.
  8. Nice one! Yep, I commute in the Supe as it's just a few km down the road to work, well, London Bridge isn't exactly close, but work pays the CC expense so what the heck lol It was good to get a wave back - most previous attempts have either gone unoticed or just plain ignored! Loving the wheels you got on yours. I too am pre de-cat, on factory TRD exaust, so she's very quiet off throtle. After you passed, I was like whoa... that's GOT to be a member on here! Aye listen, if you need to store your Supe for a couple of days or something, you're welcome to use my parking if you're really desperate. Got a spare space in the underground garage. The only thing is I can't give you access unless I'm at home. See you next Sunday morning. Gonna be fun!
  9. Agreed. 8:00 - 8:30 it is then. Will be good to have an introduction and a much needed coffee before we hit the road. Chris W... you reading this thread dude?
  10. I know what you mean... that's why I was somewhat apprehensive Good to know there's another member close by. I'm next to East Putney station. Real excited about this too - my first meet. 7:15 - 7:30 sounds good to me. Any objections? Shall we say it's a deffo?
  11. Was that you I saw the other week... I was on the way to work and we passed each other near Clapham Junction... a bit of a thumbs up & wave... Even on a Sunday morning mate?
  12. Gotcha Nutty... cheers for that - will be careful. Won't be blasting up in Bovingdon either though, TSD still not wired in... Hope you can join us at some point of the journey. Everyone got PMRs? CH5/5 as per usual? What time at Haymarket then dudes? Can't wait
  13. If there are up to ten of us, and we're making a break across Piccawilly Circus, then maybe the parking area opposite the Crimea statue (off Pall Mall) would be big enough... but there won't be much point meeting there if everyone is SW / W / NW. I'm coming from Putney, SW15. I'll meet anywhere dudes. Experienced meet-ers: any other places?
  14. More from Central anyone? Any sugestions as to where and what time would be good... Crimea statue area?

  16. Good plan Scoob, I'd be lost if there was no one to follow. Always a plus to have a head-turning convoy (as long as you lot don't whoop my stock *ss lol) Are any of you still planning on meeting up in Central London?
  17. Nice car Daman... and thanks for the welcome on the earlier thread
  18. Gave a thumbs up as we passed each other in opposite directions, haven't seen you about on the morning commute before... Nice car, sounded like a nurspec. Was that a supra salute you gave me?
  19. Do it at Bovingdon... then I'll know exactly who you are lol Really looking forward to this, thanks for sorting it for everyone J Noobs 'r' us...
  20. Arghjae and I will are joining in the madness too, just to spectate... we'd get our arses whopped. Looking forward to our first meet!

    Car Mats

Too right mate, there's nothing that will fit properly at Halfrauds - the complex shape of the footwells would bend them all over the shop. There are some great custom mkiv matts with the right template available on ebay... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=36678&item=7989507110&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW Check those out, considering some myself having seen how good they are in Arghjae's supe. I think you can choose from a few colours too.
  22. 'Ello Jon, and welcome to our club.
  23. I spun it out a few weeks back and lost a new Eagle F1 for it too, after picking up some diesel from a gas station. Is it better to straighten out with more power and compensation at the steer... that way the rear would maintain its momentum instead of flicking back round and causing a spin? I totally appreciate what went through your mind at the time tough - it takes buns of steel to go for the loud pedal instead of the brake. Perhaps this experience does us all some good, to know the limits of our cars. Group RWD skidpan training anyone? Is this sort of thing available to us anywhere?
  24. It's a stab in the dark, but is it because you saw THIS? Sorry Matt, couldn't resist. Like John said, someone will like them (I love my stock 17s , and they'll snatch 'em off you for a reasonable price at some point...
  25. Got my fill from Paul K @ Max-GT near Basingstoke. Great service. Pricey stuff but well worth it for in terms of longer life I would have thought that Olpie would do some...
