  1. Why would i need a new panel, i've still got no bloody stereo to put in it, and would still have a bloody hole revealing all the bloody wires
  2. Yeah, i'm guessing he did it with an axe
  3. One of the advantages of working for an engineering firm When i bought my car, the previous owner had removed all the stereo equipment leaving this rather nasty looking hacksaw modified cut-out. I don't want to spend any money on a stereo yet, as all my available cash will be going on important things like brake pads and spark plugs etc. Anyway, i spent about 20 minutes making this blanking plate during my dinner brake to tidy it up. And i know there's a bolt missing... i lost it
  4. Haven't used these guys, but my brother in law has a franchise in the norfolk area. But they are a national company with fully mobile fitting http://www.etyres.co.uk/
  5. Thats amazing. So many hours do do that. I've done a bit of restoration work in the past, but nothing on that scale. Some seriously skilled people there too
  6. Here's a reminder why it's a good reason to carry a fire extinguisher in your car... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DjGPipy_zcE&mode=related&search=
  7. Really nice car you have there Greg, such a shame you have to sell. Hope you can get yourself another one at some point
  8. Think i may have found the reason. It looks like it could be the light failure unit in the boot. There is power going into it, but nothing coming out. And on the back there is a small indentation where it may have burned out. It also smells like it's burned out. I'll get me another one of these and see what happens. Our resident parts Lord will be notified
  9. No, i'm talking Grizzly
  10. I want to fabricate a 1st de-cat pipe at work, but could do with an original cat to use as a pattern. As i've only just got my car on the road, i don't want to take it straight off again to pull it apart. Does anyone have an old cat kicking around they wouldn't mind letting me have for the price of a few bears. Doesn't matter if its knackered obviously, as long as it's not damaged.
  11. Given up. Booked in to be looked at on friday.
  12. Getting desperate now I've just checked the relay, and it appears to be fine. So i made a wire and plugged it in across the two terminals that are connected once the relay throws the switch. Still no result. I then put a bulb in the loop and plugged that into the relay live, and earthed it on the car body. The bulb did not light up, indicating no power at the relay live terminal. Anyone have any ideas, is there any other fuses that control this?

    EdgeCrusher from SWE

Welcome to the club Edgecrusher. Are you a Fear Factory fan at all?

    latest kill

I hit a Pidgeon on my bike once, the other side of 100 leps. It was an old style GSX-R with the air scoops next to the head light. Thought i'd got off lightly, it looked like a big greasy smear from the headlight down the side of the fairing, and a few feathers and blood splat across my leg. No cracks or damage. Bike ran like shit after, so had a look at it later that night. Turned out all of Mr Pidgeons internal organs had made their way down the air intake pipe right into the airbox which is under the seat. Must have got a bit hot and cooked as it smelled real bad
  18. If the damage is minor on your bonnet you may as well just get it repaired. Chances of finding a mint one will be pretty slim.
  19. Deffo Paint it Black. Wanted to cover this song in my band. No one else wanted to do covers
  20. Yeah grind that mother. If you find that you've f***ed up, i'll weld it back on for ya

    LSD diffs

No hadn't seen that mate. Good deal, but not likely to spend that much at the mo. I've checked my vin plate, and i definitely have the open "wiener" diff on my car. Might look into getting standard LSD one. Cheers for the codes earlier Darryl, i read them before Mawby lost them
  22. I put a post up earlier on progress today, but it's been lost in cyberspace Anyway, the relay gives a definite click when the lights are switched on, and when the bulb is earthed to the body there's no change. So it's not an earth problem, must be power supply problem. Remember the numberplate light comes on, and they're on the same power supply by the looks of the loom in the boot. Really doing my head in now. Haven't been able to go out in it in the evenings yet since getting the car on the road, and thats the only time i get to drive it really. Bit of an odd one, but any ideas anyone?
