I've heard good things about the 318iS though - apparently it's got a 16 valve engine which pushes out about 140bhp, so it's meant to be pretty quick.....I've heard it refered to as a baby M3 before.
Having said that, I''d definitely prefer a 6 pot 325i Sport.......
Speaking of which, I've just had a quick look at the one I mentioned earlier. Haven't driven it or looked at the engine, so I can't comment on it's mechanics (not that I'd know anyway - gonna get a mechanic mate to have a look for me if I go back), but it's very tatty.
I don't really care tbh cos it's cheap and I don't plan on keeping it too long - just wanna have fun driving it BUT there is a fair amount of rust. There's a bit on the body around either door and a fair amount of bubbling in various places, but the rear arches are really bad, especially the N/S. Is this a major problem? I've heard of people cutting the rust out and welding some metal in place, but is that expensive? How bad does the rust have to be before it starts affecting the MOT?
Please forgive my ignorance people, I AM trying to learn!
