  1. Hi all Apologies to all the people who've PM'd me, been away for a couple of days, but I've now managed to reply to everyone FYI, edited the ad again with a couple more points I've remembered.
  2. Bump.......Added some photos and more details to the ad, and I decided to lower the price a little bit too! Unfortunately the photo doesn't show the dent to the passenger wing - I've taken some photos of this but I've lost the lead for my camera at the moment, so I'll put them up when I find it!
  3. Hi Chaps Just a quick ad to start with - I'm away from home for a few days, so I don't have access to my photos & full spec for the car, but once I'm home I'll either update this or start a new thread. There are a couple of photos in my garage in the meantime. Basic Spec 93 L Reg Full GZ spec (leather, cruise, active spoiler, twin airbag) Approx 106,000 miles (although some of these are in km I believe) Lexus GS300 sport wheels (much sought after! ) 1 Cat removed Blitz Nur Spec R Blitz Boost controller & Turbo Timer Chris Wilson SMIC HKS Blow off valve HKS Platinum spark plugs UK spec front brakes & Goodridge s/s brake lines Koni adjustable dampers Newish Toyo Proxes on the front with about 5k on them Air Con regassed last month, now icy! MOT till mid July 2010 Tax till March 2010 All old MOTs (flown through them all!) Most recently serviced by Whifbitz (full service + new rear discs/pads in Feb), before that looked after by Mark at Phoenix (before he moved to Oz ) Geometry done by Tony at Wheels in Motion in Chesham. That's pretty much all I can remember from memory. I'm sure I've missed stuff, but I'll address that when I do the full ad. Bad Points Mechanically the car is excellent. It is my only car however, and not a pampered weekend toy, so the bodywork is not the best: Paint generally not great - it's the original paint so looks a bit dull in places - posssibly just needs a really good polish/detailing Numerous stone chips to the bonnet due to the car mainly being used on motorway A few parking dings, dents & scrapes around the body (people have no respect for other peoples stuff ) Dent in the n/s wing/scuff to the bumper. This happened when my car was reversed into outside my house TWICE within a matter of weeks, first by my neighbour who promptly moved, and then by the white van men doing work for the NEW neighbour! Of course by the time I noticed it they'd left, and the number the neighbour gave me didn't work.....what can you do? This second incident has also pushed a bit of the arch out very slightly, causing a bit of paint to flake out there. Wheels could all do with a refurb - lacquer issues Very small rust bubble at the top of the windscreen Rocker cover gaskets leaking very slightly, although both Mark & Whifbitz didn't think it was much of an issue - just mentioned for honesty. Reason for sale Well, I'm off to Australia for a month in November, snowboading for a month in Japan in Feb, and a couple of trips to the alps after that which I plan on driving to. Obviously I could do with the money to finance all this(!), plus the supe is NOT the car to drive to the alps with at least two people & snowboard gear! I plan on replacing it with something like a 306 HDi D Turbo for about £1500 & use the rest of the cash for my trips. I don't NEED to sell to do all this however, and I won't be upset to see it stay, so it won't be going for a song! I've owned the car for over 3 years now, and before that Need4Speed (John) had it for 4 years, so he can vouch for it (at least how it was when he sold it to me). It's never let me down in that time and has been 100% reliable. Like I said, it is my only car, so I use it for everything, although in reality that's only really for my twice weekly 35 mile commute which is 22 miles of motorway and 10 miles A roads & a bit of London traffic. I do about 5000 miles a year. If I remember correctly, John said he did about 90% motorway driving in the car too. It is NOT a show car, and as I have described, it would be an ideal project for someone into detailing who has the patience to bring the bodywork back into top condition. Price I've been quoted £250 to sort the n/s dent by a local bodyshop and £50 + VAT per wheel by Tony at Wheels In Motions partner. The rear tyres will probably need replacing before the next MOT - I will use Toyo Proxes at about £150 each, so taking all this into account, I'm looking for: £4300 As I said, I'm not going to let it go for peanuts, and the longer it stays the more of these things I shall get done, so the price will go up accordingly. Obviously I'd prefer to take the lower price now though so I don't have to fork out with my trips upcoming. Car is based in Dunstable and Hammersmith. Ok, that's it for now I think. I'll update as soon as possible with pics/more info.
  4. Thanks man, always trying to help Well, occasionally anyway.

  6. Hi Guys Haven't posted for a long time because, well, I'm just not really a prolific user/poster on any forum, and nothing at all has gone wrong with my supra for the 3 years I've had it, so I've not really had anything to add! Anyway, I've been meaning to make a post about these two companies for a while - hopefully it will be of help to anyone deciding who to trust their car with. Wheels In Motion Website: http://www.wheels-inmotion.co.uk I went to Tony to get my geometry sorted when I had to change my front tyres due to excess wear on the insides. He was recommended to me by Mark at Phoenix. Really friendly guys there, and Tony clearly knows his stuff. He's got a specialist 4 wheel laser alignment thingy (not like you get at your local kwik-fit!), so basically diagnosed the problems in the toe angles and sorted them, along with tweaking the rest of the geometry. I didn't think the handling was bad in the first place (after all, that's not the main reason I went there), but it was noticeably better afterwards. Obviously the inner tyre wear problem was sorted too. It cost £100, which I think is remarkably good value, and took about an hour or so. You also get a free 6 month geometry check to make sure everything is still fine. Tony is based in Chesham in Bucks, not too far from Juncion 18 of the M25. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone with a supe in the South East. Whifbitz Website: http://www.garagewhifbitz.co.uk I used to take my car to the very higly regarded Mark at Phoenix in Watford for any work it needed, but when he moved to Australia obviousy I had to find someone else. When I wanted to get a major service done recently, I didn't want to take it to just anybody, and as I'd only really heard good things on here, I decided to try Paul at Whifbitz. They are based in Enfield in north London, so not too much further to get to than Watford. Once again very friendly. Paul wasn't there, so I dealt with Darren, who was particularly helpful. I supplied some of my own parts (had my rear brakes done at the same time), which wasn't a problem for them at all. The service was quick, and very reasonable (comparable to Phoenix, labour actually worked out cheaper in the end , which is very good value!) Once again I'd definitely recommend them to anyone with a supe in the south east, particularly those looking for a replacement for Phoenix. Well that's it. A fairly large post to make up for a couple of years of inactivity! My car may be up for sale soon incidentally, so anyone after a 93 Black GZ BPU keep an eye out!
  7. Well, if we can finally beat spurs at WHL, I'm sure we can do Newcastle, especially if Titus Bramble is back from injury!
  8. I haven't really noticed anyone look at my car in the month or so I've had it Mind you, it is totally standard looking except for the lexus wheels. I can honestly say I got many more looks in my old RS focus, although they did diminish throughout the couple of years I had it as the car got older...
  9. Hmmm, I think 'trouble' is more likely than 'chilled' to be honest, although being a lightweight I'm quite happy to take any opportunity to stop drinking! And don't worry, I'll do some random covert mkiv salutes when we're out so you can recognise me!
  10. Ummm, you probably wouldn't want to see most of them tbh (present company excluded of course )! I'll try to take some pics in tenerife and put them up for you if it'll make you happy though
  11. Have I f*ck! We're on nights on monday, leave at 6am tuesday morning for the flight out at about 11, there for 3 nights, fly home then back to work the next day Apparently we're getting issued our t-shirts the morning we go and I'm pretty sure we'll be forced to wear them on the plane Ah well, at least you'll probably be able to recognise me - look for t-shirts with something about someone called Charlie. Oh, and there will probably be a stuffed leopard involved too. Don't ask. P.S. Sorry Charlotte
  12. Indeed....it's gonna hurt I think, especially as it's all blokes and with one or two exceptions they're all beer monsters!
  13. Um, the columbus I think? I'm going with about 20 odd people from work, so I expect it to be carnage to be honest!
  14. How long are you in tenerife for WSB? I'm going next tuesday (19th) for 3 days - hope it's gonna be busy! (Sorry for going off topic )
  15. Not really dude.....I had a focus RS, test drove a n/a when I decided I wanted to change to a supe and it felt ridiculously slow in comparison. I used to think the RS was quick, but now I have a TT (BPU admittedly) I realise I was wronger than a gary glitter tribute act at a childs birthday party
