Well, we're back!! 370 mile round trip (only got lost once on the way back - record!). Saw a few Supes in the car park - and met G.W when he was having his Supe dyno'd by Thor (had mine done later in the day - more on that on another forum topic!!). Didn't seem to be many of us lot down there but then it was almost impossible to know who was who!! Perhaps we should have a proper meet in the car park next meet (kept popping out to see if anyone was around their car but no!). The event I thought was a bit small and was a long way to travel but saw some great cars and met one forum member so all was not lost!! Santa Pod next!!

My assumption would be that the ECU does govern the auto box - I reckon a reset would do the trick.

Bloody hell mate, gutted for you. I'd get an assessment of repair cost and weigh up whether your premium would go up too much. Horrible feeling - remember when I put my old Beemer into a hedge backwards - icy road, fishtailed, just like you - until its sorted your life just goes on hold. Hope you get it sorted very quickly.

Do you get into Lincoln at all - we ought to arrange a mini-meet - there are at least 5 or 6 of us within a 16 mile radius!

No mate - just been cleaning the engine bay and hadn't latched the bonnet down. Never had a shunt or even a parking dent - one careful owner from new!
