  1. Never knew that, Dzowani had a chequered history on here selling if I remember rightly, maybe he's had the same issues on Facebook has prompted the second profile, either way, very odd creating a profile under another name.
  2. Welcome to the club, as with Ben, I have used you a few times over the years without issue.
  3. Thank you, though my car looks to have different connectors which is a shame. The larger plug of the two on my car does not have grooves for the bottom two guides that can be seen on the larger plug socket on your unit.
  4. Do you have a picture of the rear of the unit to show where the connectors plug in?
  5. Was thinking about TTE centre caps the other day, is this not something that could be Billet made? I know would likely be expensive for a one off, but then, i dread to think what a used TTE cap would be offered out for.
  6. Is it the part number shown below?
  7. Can't believe these haven't sold yet, a very good purchase for anyone who works or plans to work on their car.
  8. The old thread is still there, just harder to search;
  9. And a new listing has gone straight back on again
  10. Looks very nice, I do like a white Supra. Can I say that I think a facelift bumper grill bar would look good on it?
  11. Looks like the UK turbo heat shield and J-Spec ones are different, never knew that (and that UK's had two heat shields) I've got a J-Spec one but not sure it would fit, hopefully someone on here could confirm.
  12. Welcome to the club, pictures please, we like pictures
  13. Sorry to hear about your uncle, certainly has left a great legacy with that Jaguar

    Very, very nice and a long way from where it started, will almost be a shame to get it dirty once it's back together!
  16. 1. More than likely the swap will involve a VVTi engine from an Aristo (as Supra engines rarely come up for sale these days) Assuming the engine comes with all ancillaries like turbos, alternator, power steering pump & reservoir, aircon unit, ignitor etc. then off the top of my head you'll need to source the following as well as the engine; Rear sump setup (budget £4-500 for this alone the way prices are going) TT engine ECU (If it doesn't come with the engine) Speedo dials from a TT car as the NA rev counter will not work properly with a TT engine (budget £2-300 for that) VVTi Airbox or an aftermarket induction kit (£2-300) TT Radiator (thicker than the NA rad - £150) TT Radiator hoses (£100?) Side mount intercooler and pipework (or front mount, but i'd say a front mount would be pointless on a standard engine) First catalytic converter (if doesn't come with engine) Perhaps an uprated fuel pump (can't remember if this is necessary, but i put a Walbro in when i did my swap) There is also some wiring changes on the Aristo loom that will need doing. There's a thread on here about the VVTI swap somewhere. Then you need to add in things like cambelt change, water pump and service items as you'd really want this doing as part of the swap, be daft not to. 2. A GTE engine will work with a W58 gearbox at standard power output, however if you plan to increase the power to BPU levels and beyond, then the W58 isn't really up to the job. Not sure if you'd need a TT manual gearbox ECU rather than the NA one. 3. For a competent garage that has done the swap before (which is ideally what you want) then i'd imagine you'd be paying in the region of 1.5-2k labour +vat (20+hours @£70 an hour) 4. See number 1.

    Looking forward to seeing the finished paint in full, will definitely be lurking for more pics! Are you still looking to keep it a completely standard car as it would have left the factory (except LSD as in your first post)?
  18. Yes they are the ones, there should be 11 larger ones in the kit and 2 smaller ones. Almost all can be swapped out without taking anything else apart on your engine with the exception of your water pump, there's one that can't be accessed with the water pump in place (behind the thermostat housing on the side of the block) The way I did it was to use a punch and tap them at the bottom of the core plug, inside the recess of the plug and not the outer edge (to avoid damaging the sealing faces) the idea is to get them to swivel in situ so that you can get a pair of grips on them to pull them out of the block. You may get a couple that end up pushing through into the block which isn't the end of the world as they won't go far (happened on a few of mine), you'll still be able to get at them with pliers and pull them back through. New ones will knock back in place with a hammer and suitably sized socket. Make sure it's big enough so that it sits on the outer edge of the core plug, and not inside it. Some, including me, use a thin smear of sealant before knocking them back in, others don't. The sealant I used was Hylomar blue.
  19. Perhaps you're thinking of SPG's project Pesto? Looked very similar at the start of the project thread.
  20. Aaaand subscribe! Looking forward to seeing what you do with it. Welcome back as well.
