  1. It wasn't the back half of the Supra Restless Kustoms had on eBay was it?? that was up for 2k
  2. 16 years and counting, though off the road for coming on to two thirds of that! back on now though and will be in my ownership for many more years
  3. Chances of someone having one spare on here will be slim I'd guess. A quick google search throws up the below; https://garage-d.com/toyota-r154-shifter-extension-service.html No idea about the quality etc. etc, but is an option.
  4. No worries, just know how much this stuff goes for on ebay etc. per meter, when the true cost of it is a fraction of what it's being sold for on there. Depending on where you're taking the warm air from and the ambient temps around the tube then you may well still be able to use the PVC tube for getting warm air through - as PVC tubes max working temp is 65°c. outside of that, a rubber hose would get you another 5-10°c on top of that. Higher still then you're looking at silicone tube, but quite expensive!
  5. Looking good, if you need any more PVC tube when things get up and running proper, then let me know. I sell Hose and Ducting etc. for a living and so can get it at cost.
  6. There's a fact check on BBC website that i was reading about this that says that the fishing statistics used to extrapolate a time when the seas would be depleted of stocks is very outdated and doesn't take into account changes to fishing practices since. They do however seem to agree with the stats on fishing waste, plastic pollution etc. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/56660823
  7. Some good memories from JAE, definitely Tom and his megaphone, I swear his voice was ringing in my ear all drive home! then there was Ray doing a run around the stands in the rain in his pants, and THAT storm!
  8. Very nice, It's something I've been thinking about for a bit so glad someones already done it! Though I've recently been wondering if it's possible to fit an Echo spot into the car instead in the clock location, then use my phone as a wifi hotspot so it works and then connect the sound output through the car stereo?
  9. You can just about see the hose clip in the second picture, a pair of long nose pliers might get in there, bit will be very tricky!
  10. Looks to be part number 16281-46020, which is a coolant bypass hose.
  11. The spark plug tool is part number 09155-74010 and not expensive new, so TCB, Keron or Toyota would be your best bet.
  12. The same galvanic corrosion process occurs when stainless steel touches plated steel (with Zinc content) the reaction will likely be to a lesser extent than copper with plated steel, but will still happen.
  13. I imagine it would fit along the slam panel where the radiator clamps are bolted to.
  14. Thanks, I know Genesis. I used them to do the cylinder head that is currently on the car with no issues all, then i sent them my block to do and they went bust part way through! Thankfully at the point they went bust they'd already stripped, cleaned, checked the block and honed the bores, plus had polished the crank so i just had to re-assemble everything. Didn't know they were back up and running, though my dealings with them were a couple of years ago now. Very odd that they're saying there is no issues with yours, hopefully it's sorted though now and can go back on the car.
  15. Nathan, do you mind saying what the machine shop's name is (privately if you want) as I've got a spare head i want checking over by someone in the Hull area (which i assume these are) and it sounds like they're one to avoid!
  16. The guy that owns it used to be a member on here and there is a thread on the car;
  17. Is it a metal bracket or a plastic one? I dare say it will have to be custom made, I think that's the way we are heading on parts such as this.
  18. I've just rung my local Toyota and have confirmed the above pricing, though at first when the guy I spoke to ran code 81130-1B160 through his system he gave me a price of £183.94 + vat, the other one came out at £4902.68 He then checked the manual ordering system which apparently is more accurate and then confirmed that both headlights were indeed £4902.68 each inc vat. That price obviously cannot be sustained and am hoping it's a pricing error that Toyota UK haven't really bothered to question with Japan and just stated the ''price is the price'' otherwise Toyota have spent a lot of money to see no return on their investment.
  19. As above, a countersunk bolt may be the way to go for an easy fix. As for the PVC Valve on the throttle body, if you cannot find someone able to weld aluminium so as to re-work your current adaptor, could you not have an extension piece made out of steel to sit between the adaptor and the throttle body and give you the clearance you need?
  20. I got it running (was a bit rough on initial start up, but perfectly fine by the time it got to Whifbitz bizarrely) it had a slight overheating issue due to the radiator/ viscous fan needing changing, but the main issue was that it wasn't MOT'd so couldn't get it out on the road to test and so it was always my intention to get it to them for running in and then for any work it needed to get it through its MOT. I suppose it depends on what crops up when you fire it up, there might be nothing/ very little, but might be lots, until you turn the key you won't know. Fingers crossed there's not a lot, as looks like it's been done right.
  21. Fingers crossed, though if they won't, then I used Kingston recovery, who did it for £550. They've done a few trips from Hull to Whifbitz it turns out!
  22. Anyone on here? spotted leaving Priory Park in Hull. Looked and sounded very nice, assuming a visit to Toyota was made to look at the MkV.
  23. I had mine run in by whifbitz on their Dyno after I rebuilt it (standard engine), there was some boosting issues it turns out, which was a very simple fix for them but it would've taken me a lot longer to find, diagnose and sort the problem. It cost a fair bit to get the car sent from Hull to Caldicot on a flatbed, but the drive back was pretty good!
  24. I didn't know the numbers for RHD aerotops were so low, and that mine is 1 of 99 RHD aero's in Storm blue.
