  1. Thanks Ian for your input, it was strange as it came back from having the single put on and was an immediate pain to start (NOTHING against the guys who done the work) but i just put that down to the fact that it had no map and bigger injectors on it, from then on even with mapping it was a pain to start. It had a leakdown and compression test befoe i had the single put on. I will get a vid up of the start up and also take the plugs out with pics cheers
  2. Brilliant blokes aren't they, really helpful and professional Ad
  3. Plugs changed about 2k miles ago after mapping session but never cleaned idle valve! Wouldn't even know where it is swampy
  4. It has been back to mapper but the start up is still bad. I hope it's not and ecu problem!
  5. I've topped the oil up once in the last few months. Cheers
  6. If left for an hour you get hesitant start and blue smoke as you would if left over night. But if left for a few mins it's just a bit of a bitch to start no smoke.
  7. Just been thinking the car regardless of how long it's left for hesitates to start and always throws blue smoke out the back, so the sals must be in pretty bad condition if they are leaking when warm!
  8. Hey mate just tried PM'ing you but ya box is full
  9. May have to sweet talk him
  10. Ok pal cheers, my mind is at rest for the time being
  11. Ok matey cheers, it's pretty embarrassing when you start it up and it takes a good 3-5 seconds to start then a ploom of smoke
  12. Ok mate I understand. So the oil will be leaking into chamber therefor on the piston correct? If so surely itsgonna cause damage to face of the piston? Or am I completely wrong? Cheers Ad
  13. Ok pal thanks. That's what I thought. Is it wise to get the stem seals done ASAP? I'm worried it's gonna cause det when in in boost.....
  14. Just thinking if I had a leaky injector would that cause blue smoke and lumping idle? or would it be black smoke? Afr's very massively, from 14's down to 11's on start up. Ad
  15. Ok mate, by the sounds of it it's out of my league Thanks for info Scott.
  16. Bloody hell really!! Is it an easy job to do yourself? Ad
  17. Morning all Since having the single put on the car I've been having a ploom of blue smoke out the back on start up (not at any other time) ecu was changed as it was thought to be fuel starvation, but it smells like oil and is getting worse, and I think it must be the stem seal. So my question is what sort of price is it to get these done? Chees Add
  18. Just got my dad to check tread depth as they are in his garage and it's 5.5-6mm
  19. 275's will fit on a 9.5j but it's the max they recommend to fit. 10j would e fine, they have loads of tread left on them mate. But I shall get a gauge in there as soon as I can.
  20. These are still up for sale, can't believe they haven't been snapped up, loads of tread and good track tyre for the single boys.
