Not coil pack buddy, the ignition amplifier (black box with 3 plug couplers) located by the near side front wing. Ithought the igniter pack and ignition amp were the same thing. cheers

ok I've changed the spark plugs and coil packs with no success, the problem is still there! But I've been thinking this is an interrmitent problem and happens even when the car is on tick over so if it was plugs it would be happening all the time surely? Not sure what to do now? Cheers

I certainly didnt use the boosr mode on the charder mate, it was just the trickle charge i used. how would i check for power to the EMU? cheers mate

I did mate its store error code 14...... the map sensor pipe is all in tact. whether the sensor itself is i dont know.

plugs/coils packs and clips were changed 2k miles ago. This has only happened since the battery went flat and it was left out in the frost Chris i'l go for that mate cheers Mikey the cars starts up like it and then can clear for 2 mins then comes back again. very very annoying!

Right renewed the batt as it was duff, pulled off connectors and refitted it seemed to clear the prob for about 5 mins then came back on. The car seems like it only running on 3 or 4 cylinders or something, it shakes badely when on tickover and absolutey stinks of fuel! next step to replace ignition amp you say? would this really make the car miss so badely? cheers

They were changed about 5 months ago due to a miss fire but now with the car being left out in the frosty weather they may have got some damp in them.

would it be worth me checking coils packs/plugs etc as well? great stuff thank you chris!! were about is the igniter pack located matey? thanks

cheers for reply mate, its not the triangle that flashes up its the one on the righthand side display that looks like the side view of an old plane. but i shall definately check error codes tomorrow

Howdy all, my supra has been out of the garage for about 12 days now so has experienced all that frosty weather. So today i thought i'd give it a drive, but the battery was flat. so charged her up (took an hour) and went on my way...UNTIL the engine management light comes up and the car turns into a machine gun (well certainly sounded like it) it cleared after about 2 mins then came back on again, then cleared the came back on (an so on for 5 miles)! the car wouldnt accelerate at all it was just hesitating. my question is could it be the frost has got into the coil packs and making it misfire? or would it be something to do with the battery going flat? any help would be great.
